    Done this last week when there was pretty much no good info on how. Probably took me 4 times as long to do and I haven’t started the seatbelts yet! Still I have a clue on the seatbelts now, thanks!

    this is what i miss on most VW related channels.... Ingenuity and propper know how.! plus willing to learn (and a healthy dose of being humble) soo keep being your self.. keep showing your skills. and keep building (y) finnaly something that's not about air and wheels haha! wishing you all the luck. but i think you got it coverd ;)

    Hi Dan, give Sirus Automotive in Wednesbury a call. That’s where I bought my rear caddy seats, belts, step plastics and a centre console with armrest. They convert caddy lifes and maxi’s for wheel chairs so used to sell loads of stuff of they didn’t require. Great job amd miss my old caddy 👍🏼

    I did this, and as soon as i started ripping my touran apart i wished i had bought the seat base brackets, instead of cutting them out. Takes nearly a day to just cut them out cleanly. Good vid 👍

  • @Caddy2kforum

    Very tidy work dude, Caddy is looking great now.
    Let me know if you need the wing repeaters coded out, the door module has the output which can be coded with VCDS for the mirrors but the BCM output for the wing repeaters is a bit more complex to disable.
    The side door trim you need will be from a Caddy life, the maxi is longer. Put up the part number you're looking for on the forum, I'm sure it's something we can find.

    • @DanChambersDAC

  • @nimjarider1990

    What’s the end goal?
    It’s looking like you’re taking a touran apart, to fit parts into a caddy to make a touran.

    • @tallgiese1
      @tallgiese1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To have a passenger carry capable, and running Caddy. With some unique upgrades. The Touran is a parts vehicle and isn't the look or vehicle he wants. He wants a caddy that is versatile with more room than a minivan. End goal have fun doing it, teach others how it can be done and help them get on their own projects.

    • @DanChambersDAC
      @DanChambersDAC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much a Caddy with 5 seats, a nice interior and exterior. Even though I am fitting a Touran interior it will always be a Caddy.

      @@DanChambersDAC i like vans and unusual vehicles so i dig what you're doing.
      I thought VW did Caddy crew vans but i assume they are quite rare.
      I recently bought a mint older Berlingo Multispace so have the benefit of a car and a van.

    • @devilskullBEL
      @devilskullBEL 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's my thought as well. What's the point of buying a van and then swapping pretty much a complete Touran interior in it?
      Changing the front for a bit more luxury, sure, but the rear should've stayed a van imho.
      Now he's just making a Caddy Life/Maxi.

      @MatthewBrownUK 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@devilskullBEL I guess some of it is, just because it can be done! I am amazed at how many of the parts are virtually interchangeable. I'm sure it'll be a great Cadran when its finished or even a Touraddy! you chose.

      I am doing these jobs as they are very popular in the Caddy scene but no one has ever done video's on them. The sears will fold forward and can be removed so will still have a pretty decent sized load area. A bonus of being able to carry 5 people too. No windows going in.
