    Thank you for the video Nathan. Cracking job you did there. Very annoying for you that the second batch of carpet didn't match the first. I hope the seller sends you the correct one when you contact them. Your van looks absolutely ace now thanks to all your hard work. You should be very proud of what you've achieved 💪👌.

      Hey Ian glad the algorithm is finally finding me 👍 I won’t lie I did find the hidden screw trio on a the black T4 camper I was playing with a couple of years ago and thought I’m using that. Glad the videos are useful and really appreciate you comment 👍

    Using self tapping screws can sometimes be easier. If they work in your situation it can save time for drilling and will reduce the chances of an "outie" from a drill bit. I also have come to love torx style screws. The heads are much less likely to strip out because they have such a positive contact to the driver. They can also be used many times without damage to the head

      Rhino Lining was great for a work van you could power wash out the back of it after mounting bike or dog in back …I want to do that LED light under the rear bumper , do you think it could be wired into socket on toe bar or what would you recommend ?

    • @YTDTETV
      @YTDTETV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@midnightrider6985 I will look into that 👍 yes you can easily put the wires from a led into one of the rear lights, either brake or side lights would look good. There is little holes in the body just behind the bumper in the corners to poke wires through. You could just put the earth wire from the led to the body somewhere then you will only need to put the live wire into one of the rear lights.

      Might try smaller panels (maybe in a different colour) in the windows with the deadening, insulation & vapour sheeting and see how much insulation I can get up the pillar parts, worth a punt if not I'll follow your larger panel option. What's the worst that can happen 😂

    • @YTDTETV
      @YTDTETV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scottchristie3503 there’s a fair few different colours to choose from, I did think about stuffing some insulation up the pillars a lot of noise come up them. I’m sure you’ll do a good job, after you’ve done one lot and it comes out good you’ll be carpeting everything 👍

    Although longer than usual i found this video very informative as i plan to do a similar thing on a cheap van but it has to be ULEZ compliant as i work in Essex 😤 so ideally petrol but haven’t got a clue what to go for. It will be used for the occasional overnight sleep. Have you got any suggestions? Don’t suppose they do a petrol caddy ? Im lost for words for how far this transformation has come. Definitely a keeper 👌🏾

    • @YTDTETV
      @YTDTETV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey scorcha thank you sir 👍 it was abit long winded this one. So I’m on the caddy Facebook groups and a lot of people are having petrol engines fitted into their caddy’s for the low emissions reason. On a weekly basis I do see caddy’s going up for sale with the petrol engine conversion already done and Ulez paperwork all sorted. The main caddy Facebook groups I’m on are the ones with 30k+ members on there might be worth a look, I can write up what groups if you want?

    • @scorcha100
      @scorcha100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YTDTETV i didn’t realise that you could change engines and get ulez paperwork for it. I was thinking for of caddys that had petrol engines from factory but an engine change opens a load of different options. Never too old to learn. I will have a look on the facebook groups, i only join ones that have got members of high capacity and post regularly. Thanks for the info, its very much appreciated 👍🏾

    • @YTDTETV
      @YTDTETV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scorcha100 no problem 👍 yes a lot of caddy owners are having petrol engines fitted as other than buying a brand new van there isn’t much out there to buy. Any petrol engine is Ulez Compliant. If you didn’t want massive power then the 1.4tfsi is a good choice. Happy to help 👍

    Did you ever consider using forever black, instead of spraying the interior..? Also if you was to use a rattle-can what would you recommend paint and primer

    • @YTDTETV
      @YTDTETV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi bud I’ve seen that forever black and I’ve seen mixed opinions, I’ve used the paint I did in this video a few times and it’s perfect everytime and lasts. If I was to use rattle cans I would get a scuff pad the same as the green side of a sponge and heavily rub all plastics down and that will key up the surface, then you would need a plastic primer. 2 lights costs of that then wait atleast half hour then some plastic black spray and again just do it in light coats don’t load it up thick or it will crack.
