Love all things Daka. I have two sunglasses cases and the small tool organizer in Orange. Been eyeing another one similar to the orange one only slightly bigger.
“The capability to hold two staplers” is for some reason a very funny phrase 😁. I think it’s because even though I know what type of staplers you’re referring to, I couldn’t help picturing just two ordinary desktop models 😀.
That would be a great form factor for an emergency kit for a vehicle, think a combination of tools and first aid, maybe a light foldable space blanket in that admin pouch.
I like that transparent bag. I tend to use a lot of freezer bags to hold stuff so that it's easy to see not only what's inside but where it's sitting in the bag. Problem is, freezer bags are only so strong. I'm going to have to check out that Daka bag. I find the best cleaning cloth for glasses are the ones they have at the glasses counter at Costco. They do a great job at making my readers and sunglasses spotless and the best part is, if you ask nicely the person at the counter will give you one for free.
Along the same lines as the simple zipper pouches, I recently started using dollar store semi-transparent silicone zipper style reusable food storage bags for organizing in kits.
My magpul wallet still looks brand new after 6 years of being in my front pocket everyday. I bought a backup a long time ago in case they stopped making them. Everything they make is top-shelf. I’m guessing that case doesn’t usually hold docs staplers! Thanks for the great videos.
Im on a quest to find a tool-carrying/tool focus pouch ideally with molle webbing. Ive come to the conclusion that all the little pockets are useless in my opinion, they look cool but not as useful as lets say more webbing. I just want a durable bag that i can put more durable bags in. Each bag i want molle webbing on the outside and inside the bag/cocoon pouch/edc pouch. I want to be able to store sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers. Tools weight alot so everything has to be durable. One of two ways ive seen this is a molle insert panel or just a molle panel with webbing like a flat hopefully two sided panel. Then with maxpedition cocoon pouches, i can put them anywhere on the insert or on the panel. I was planning on using the panel as a tool roll molle system, where you can customize it how ever you want. So far good. But now im thinking messenger bag or im thinking heavy duty luggage. Now as im writing this im thinking combination burrito. The panel insert thats durable and rigid, with the panel tool roll. On one side or the bottom side, is the panel roll with attatch pouches for heavy weight- sockets, wrenches, ratchets, with the panel fixed to one side of the ridid panel. Then roll it up and keep it secure. So like a medium size atlas tool roll mated with a panel insert. All molle. Keep within 25l so i can carry it with a kriega r25 backpack. If someone could tell me a backpack with similar quadlock system, please tell me.
Hey Doc, what sunglasses would you recommend? I love my Oakley Hollbrooks. Recently got Rudyproject when I was in Israel in the summer. The sun was to strong, (August September is not a good time to visit). Same shape like the hollbrooks, a bit bigger and polarized.
Growing up Vaurnet's and AstralTune's were the highly coveted skier gear. Somethings never change. The material you are talking bout is TPU and it can also be found in Rite-in-Rain Monsoon products. If you have watched PocketTheory's video's you would see that he has solved the problem of what to put in that space above the pocket (of the daka pouch) by adding a self-adhesive velcro field cut to size.
Are these vinyl or ? I never liked vinyl cases because they get sticky (from outgassing) Also, I've seen the daka pouches advertised, but always seemed to pricy. Maybe if they had a sale or discounted starter pack?
I bought one of the transparent pouches (on sale 20% off, no less) , and promptly returned it. Nice build quality, but obscenely overpriced for what it is IMO, to the point where I actually took offense at what I was charged . If you get value for them, great. Not worth it for me.
@ I like the Husky and Kobalt tool/document pouches. Very sturdy, though not transparent and not the best size selection. The Husky one is less than $6. The Kobalt ones come in a set of 3 for like $10-12, and have mesh windows so you have a bit of a clue as to. contents. I also use the ue vinyl cash pouches too, like you fine in office supply stores. I do use the ziploc slider freezer bags with cardboard sheet for stiffening. Not ideal, but does the job and costs very little. I suspect the Daka pouches are fairly rugged, but I generally don’t need that, as mine live inside hard shell bins. I do have an Aquaquest map case that is in the ballpark of Daka pricing, but that is sized for maps is legit waterproof, not merely resistant. I think the Daka design is fine, but I would not pay more than around $10 for the larger one, not $30+ they charge.
I 3D print all of my "Daka" type cases, in whatever custom size I want, with whatever type of attachment or lashing mechanism I can think of. For pennies. Moral of the story: Learn and get into 3D printing.

Thanks for the great videos.
It'll hold wire strippers like the Knipex 12 62 180 and probably also some brass wire nuts.
Yeah more for remote hand held hole punches…
Lead throwing devices seem like a better fit in there😅pewpew

Magpul makes solid products for those of us with scary ‘weapons of war’!!!!

Are the glasses cases lined with anything to prevent scratches. Thanks Doc
No, but I have had any issues with that.
I’ve always found hard shell sunglasses cases cumbersome and not very useful. Great cases though!

If a big fan of Smith glass lenses. But there are many good ones these days. Maui Jim and glass lens Serengeti too. I want to try the Leupolds.
@@lastbesttool Thanx, Ill check them out. Love the channel.

What in the world type of screwdriver was that?

TPU = Thermoplastic Polyurethane.
They are worth the price, super durable and just fun to use.

Electrical diag
Terrible dimensions
Can you expound on this assessment? Just curious.
Nope, the pouches suck. They de-laminate very easily
Ive got quite a few and never had that happen. How are you using them and how frequently?
@alexdrockhound9497 Very little use actually. One as a first aid kit that never gets used.
I’m on my third Daka minimalist wallet, they last me about 2 years before separating.
