You guys are corny yet enjoyable, informative, and just plain fun to listen to. I don't yet have a Knafs knive, but eventually, I will. Keep up the good, honest, clean fun!
Love you guys. Reminds of when the BHQ videos were good years ago. Glad you decided to start up on here. Say hi to Jamie 👋. Hope he is still behind the camera. Millie club for the win 🏆 👊
Thank you guys so much for showcasing my coin! It's been a fun project for sure! And yes, packaging is darn heckin hard! Hats off to you guys for putting so much thought into yours and crushing it!
The notebook diversion was great! Fun to see the archives. ;) I've been meaning to carry one ever since my phone screen died and I was totally screwed for a few days. "The shortest pencil is longer than the longest smartphone." lol
When I was a kid, the best companies were vertically integrated. When I joined Hewlett-Packard in the mid 1980s they made everything for their products in-house: CRTs (displays), PCBs (circuit boards), product frames and packaging from manual machine-shop to production, shipping packaging (i.e. boxes), etc…. Then discrete manufacturing started the huge shift to outsourcing. Many things over time act like a pendulum, and I’ve always expected that things would swing back toward vertical integration. Only for a while!
So glad I found your channel. You guys are fun as heck and informative. I will be looking into your knives. At this point, I don't plan on castrating anything though.
I always carry a notebook! It’s funny how friends and family poke fun at my for carrying a notebook, pen, pocket knife, and small flashlight, but then they ask me to borrow or use them constantly!
The mints are a sweet gesture. Appreciate your note taking, “if it wasn’t written down, it didn’t happen “ is what I always tell my troops when it comes to emailing
Your simple box package for your knife is perfect. I have so many pouches that I can't throw away for some reason, and a simple throw-away box is perfect.
BEN!! This has nothing to do with the video really ( it was a good one tho 😂) but I had an idea. Since you did custom scales for the $2 bill lander 2 in Utah you should do that again for the people who got one in Atlanta and couldn’t make it to Utah they just have to show you the knife and you give us either those scales or some other cool 1/22 scales 😊😊 a cool thought! Thanks - Zeke- ET_EDC
yes, I carry notebook . Yes to the mint. Although, I did not receive a mint when I ordered the Lander 3. And hopefully will get one when my Lander 4's are shipped. I also hope you get the clip point Lander 2 back in stock soon.
Just got my first package from Knafs direct and smiled so hard when the mint fell out, along with my new Lander 1 scales. It exemplifies the Knafs brand. Keep it up.
I just love Ben using his notebooks. I wish I was that disciplined. Ben, I remember you writing down some German sayings when we were sitting in that pub in Hamburg. Have a great 2025 everybody! BTW, my son got a 3D-printer for Christmas and one of the first things he printed were new scales for his dad‘s Lander. 😊 P.S.: I also was a fan of Ben long before I met him. And now, I‘m an even bigger fan. 😊
I got a mint in my parcel when I ordered a Driver like a year ago, and I found it super charming! It makes the whole process of ordering from Knafs feel personal, even though it's such a small thing.
I have to say….i get that you wanted to keep the notebook private….but the pixelation made it seem so sketchy hahaha. Another winner of a video, cheers.
I grew up about 10 minutes from crucible steel, and also 10 minutes from the old USA Camillus factory (passed it every day on my way to middle school). Sad to see another company looking like they are closing their doors soon in the Syracuse NY area.
MINTS!! I feel very strongly the mints are a must keep. Every time I open a Knafs package it has this faint mint smell. I've started to associate that smell with something that's exciting. I had junior mints at the movie theatre last night and thought to myself "I bet there's a new Knafs at night to watch."
Is just having the formula for a steel enough? Like other companies might have the formula to say S35, but is that enough? Is there process as well that effects the steels performance?
WIUG. keep the mint and make the hawkbill blade, I have a lander 2 tanto and a banter 2, so a clip point is on my list and if you add a hawk then that would be on it too, happy new year and keep up the excellent work.
I really hope something can be done to keep Crucible alive and their workforce employed here in the USA. Oh and keep the mints, its a cool personal touch like Cutlery Shoppe with the suckers or BHQ with the requested doodles. It also appears that Ben works with his very own stalker...cool background story.
You guys really need to make a podcast. I feel like it would be really interesting and would give me something to listen to while going to and from work
You know the tune: Ben Banter’s uncle had a farm EIEIO And on this farm they spayed some cows EIEIO With a Lander here and Lulu there Here a knife, there a knife, Everyone needs a knife! KNAFS!!!
I honestly don't know how Austin keeps it together as well as he does when Ben starts on his tangents. Also looking for my first folding knife with a crossbar lock. Any suggestions on an affordable option?
More mints and let's see a warn cliff, nice long warn cliff starting near the pivot... Full Flat grind. 14C28N blade steel so it's tough. 3.5 inches long. 😛
Crucible product line is so important to the knife industry that Some other steel foundrie some were on the planet will buy all there recipes and trademarks.
Whoa, I have that exact Taylor Sheffield. Well, not quite. The blade profile is just slightly different, and mine has a ricasso (or whatever the equivalent is for daggers). But the handle looks nearly identical. Also, I know mine was made in the late 80s / early 90s. Sadly, at some point some idiot let it get a little rusty and then took the mirror polish off it by not using using polish and instead using some kind of not-nearly-fine-enough sandpaper. (That idiot was me.) I'm still working on restoring that mirror polish.
I should get my first mint on Monday!!!! My Lander 1 I didn't get direct. Can I say Monday is a horrible delivery date......you have to wait the whole weekend! LOL!
Y'know, I've never done an inventory of what % of steel makers comprise my collection... It's probably close to 50% Crucible between all CPM steels and a good handful of 154CM. I'm... a little frightened to try that experiment in light of the news here.
Ben, please make contoured scales available as standalone buying options on the site! I recently migrated all of my "flat scale" knives to contoured versions (including my new contoured jade G10 Lander 1) and I can't go back! I'd love being able to mix and match something like contoured G10 rainbow trout show side with the new contoured black micarta clip side without having to buy a full knife just for the scales.
This episode brought back a lot of memories, BladeHQ vids when I still watched them (what's happened there?)..........and the one, the only....NUTNFANCY! Unfortunately all this got me into knife making which shifted my viewing habits a bit
If no one else has said it, or encouraged more of it, keep the tangents. The stories. The sidetracking. The quarks. The different opinions and hills to plant your flag on. People may have come to the channel for knives, but they’ll stay as they learn more about you guys as people. 🤘🏼
I'm a hobby knife maker, who buys 4" x 24" pieces of S35vn and Magnacut to make custom outdoor and kitchen knives. This will be a difficult transition for me.
You guys are corny yet enjoyable, informative, and just plain fun to listen to. I don't yet have a Knafs knive, but eventually, I will. Keep up the good, honest, clean fun!
Get The BANTER for a starter.NOT the baby banter that comes next
@@tjp-re4du I just got the lander 1 in 14c and I love it
I recommend knafs lander 2 tanto
Will Jamie ever show his face again? And curious if he films for both knafs at nite and Zac in the wild?
I will likely get the lander. I have t decided on 1, 2, or 3 tho
"The shortest pencil is longer than the longest memory. " ~ words of wisdom from Ben Pearson. Love it.
Ha! Not mine, but I picked it up somewhere on this journey we call life. I’m glad it resonated.
Getting a mint in my knafs order means my knife incoming in mint condition 😉
Maybe it had bad breath.
Love you guys. Reminds of when the BHQ videos were good years ago. Glad you decided to start up on here. Say hi to Jamie 👋. Hope he is still behind the camera. Millie club for the win 🏆 👊
Hoping Crucible can work it out.
“I love it, cool cool, awesome awesome” needs to be the next secret engraving on a Lander
Thank you guys so much for showcasing my coin! It's been a fun project for sure! And yes, packaging is darn heckin hard! Hats off to you guys for putting so much thought into yours and crushing it!
Love your face Sam!

“[blank] built this house!” is my new favorite saying. 😂
You guys make knife collecting more interesting again!! 👍 Don't change a thing. Keep up the great work. 🤙God bless all you folks at knafs!
I'm from the town where Niagara Metals is located. I love that this town is a major step in the process.
That "Drop Points Built This House" graphic would make a neat patch!
I always carry a notebook!
It’s funny how friends and family poke fun at my for carrying a notebook, pen, pocket knife, and small flashlight, but then they ask me to borrow or use them constantly!

Yes for the mints! Great channel, glad Ben is on TH-cam again.
I love the mints, they are just a cool addition!
Your simple box package for your knife is perfect. I have so many pouches that I can't throw away for some reason, and a simple throw-away box is perfect.
I've eaten every single mint I've received from Knafs!
Oh my gosh I've been seen by Ben and Austin!

Interesting info on crucible. I appreciate the education 👍.
LOVE the mint and stickers ✌️
Just got my first package from Knafs direct and smiled so hard when the mint fell out, along with my new Lander 1 scales. It exemplifies the Knafs brand. Keep it up.
I wouldn't be mad if CTS XHP and Elmax became more prevalent, those are 2 of my favorite knife steels.

I got a mint in my parcel when I ordered a Driver like a year ago, and I found it super charming! It makes the whole process of ordering from Knafs feel personal, even though it's such a small thing.
If you EDC a fanny pack today, you owe Nutnfancy an apology
Nutnfancy was the first TH-camr/knife reviewer I ever followed
If you edc a fannypack today, you owe yourself an apology
@@dinner_workingslyThat's a bad take. You are objectively wrong.
@@TheTrueNorth11 I’m afraid you are incorrect Joe Rogan
I always loved the mints!! Keep them in!
Love the mint!!!
Yes, Keep adding the candy to orders shipped.
When u sign up for emails ask what kind of mints we would prefer, altoids, life savers, tic tacs, etc.
Vegemite is primarily a spread but it’s versatile enough to be used for flavouring or even a beverage.
440C baby !! Its a good steel overall.
I have to say….i get that you wanted to keep the notebook private….but the pixelation made it seem so sketchy hahaha. Another winner of a video, cheers.
The mints make us, your customers, happy :)
I usually use rite in the rain… their stuff holds up so amazingly well… I have been using field notes brand recently
I just absolutely love that paper micarta lander 3 - definitely need to get one eventually!
I grew up about 10 minutes from crucible steel, and also 10 minutes from the old USA Camillus factory (passed it every day on my way to middle school). Sad to see another company looking like they are closing their doors soon in the Syracuse NY area.
You need a wiug sticker on the bigfig, so it looks like a knafs tshirt
KEEP THE MINTS! I had a cat growing up named miss kitty
Also, how do you sign up for the news letter??
MINTS!! I feel very strongly the mints are a must keep. Every time I open a Knafs package it has this faint mint smell. I've started to associate that smell with something that's exciting. I want a Warncliffe Lander 1 and a reverse Tanto Lander 2.
Hey that’s how I met Austin at blade show lol I was like I know that voice!
Keep the mints!! Always got 1 or 2 on me. Looking forward to getting my lander 4 soon!! hoping for the return of the MMTW lander 2.
I bought that Black Micarta Lander 1 nearly immediately after receiving the email today.
Don't stop the mint! :)
Patiently waiting for the Lander 2 clip point in brown paper micarta to match my Lander 3. I prefer the smooth scales as they are on the Lander 3.
My house is also full of Lego. We are a Lego family. My son has more than I do. Love your show. You always keep it interesting. Thanks 🎸🔪
WIUG. keep the mint and make the hawkbill blade, I have a lander 2 tanto and a banter 2, so a clip point is on my list and if you add a hawk then that would be on it too, happy new year and keep up the excellent work.
I wish the lander 1 14c28n was 59-60 hrc. Having it 57-60 is too big of variations.
Awesome Greetings Pirmin From Switzerland 🇨🇭
Was just thinking of rotating into some karambits. I think a lander with a clawed blade would be sick!
A-EBL would be a great option has become one of my favorite steel
I missed the clip point lander 3...Any plans for another drop?

Definitely like the mint. We don't get those mints in the uk. We'll we can but the prices are crazy
I’m so excited for things to get more expensive
My son just got a 3d printer for birthday/christmas. Can someone please tell me where to find all these awesome print files they keep showing off?!
Honestly hoping I never have to see magnacut again
Is it that bad or just too much Hype.
@sterlingstoots3215 yes both. Too hard and chipy but super expensive and used because it's the latest super steel
Mints are a hit!
Also, the paper micarta may not be best for the vaseline factory(as a certain other knife reviewer would say) but it does look great
Whoa, I have that exact Taylor Sheffield.

How much money do they need?
I thought they already said that there is plans to have other companies produce many of these steels that Crucible manufactures.
At this time there are no firm plans for anything.
Good thing I use M390 knives
Why did you choose m390? Isn't it Italian?
@Miller_Time Austrian, i believe. But manufacturers like MKM and Lionsteel use it often.

Amen. So good.
I have always preferred a note pad over a book. Don't carry one as much now, trying to find a new waterproof holder for one.

Still hoping for new scales for the Lander 2 and 3. Seeing the micarta being introduced on knives hoping they will be sold separately.

No. I already have my favorite knives.

Go KNAFS, friendly takeover for crucible! Get your own stealmaker! All the best for you guys. Friendly greetings from good old Germany. Wolfgang 👍🏻🍾😉
What kind of paint do you use on your note books ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Acrylic. I’ll have to look up the brand, but it comes in a tube, not a bottle. It’s more or a premium acrylic.
I'm a hobby knife maker, who buys 4" x 24" pieces of S35vn and Magnacut to make custom outdoor and kitchen knives. This will be a difficult transition for me.
Would like to see a baby banter with the charcoal or tan micarta scales and the same stonewashed blade and hardware as the green micarta.
Keep the mints!!!!! 😂
I worked at crucible back in the 70s, it was a division of Colt at the time, then colt pulled out and went bankrupt.
😮..A less than fresh space kitty??!! Might as well be a morning after trash panda-keep the mints!!!😂😂
Oh the memories from Nut'n fancy
