Great job here, Jon! Lots of interesting EDC items to consider. Regarding pens, one problem I have with bolt-style and click types is the open front... which can be a bit of a problem for inks that are more fluid than the old style viscous ballpoint ink--they dry out faster. To counter that, I prefer a capped pen. I strongly suggest you take a look at Spoke Design. I'm particularly partial to the Roady XL, with its impressive design and magnetic cap feature.
Hey Jon! Have loved your content for a while now.... Definitely the best EDC Chanel in terms of knowledge and quality ect. I would love to see more EDC Videos catered to certain careers for example, I am in the Police Academy and would love a "Best EDC for Police Officers" video. Keep up the great work!
Hey Jon, loved your content for a while now. I must have spent waty too many hours researching the perfect EDC bag. I have managed to put together something that works well for my everyday uses, all thanks to a lot of your recommendations. In terms of future content, I would love more ideas around items to carry for music, electronics and computer enthusiasts. Useful items that can help troubleshoot a computer, or malfunctioning electrical item (such as a faulty vacuum cleaner, which I recent had to help someone with when it failed while I was at their house, luckily my EDC included a useful HOTO brand screwdriver set that let me take it apart) So basically, more videos on items like that
I would like to see EDC for the car, such as impromptu picnic, stuck at a friends house over night, compact emergency gear, and other things along those lines
Stuck at a friend's house...I just have my gym bag in my trunk with gym clothes (double as PJs) and street wear. Sample size of everything and one dose of medication/contact solution and case. Car...look up Get Home Bag
Great video, I recently saw a movie that made a lot of sense to me with what you say, Kingsman haha it's a little old but I love it, even the little accessories they show on the screen
Dudee Kinsgman is great, I read the comic and I loved the movie, I recently got a super elegant Vionentus VN100 wallet, it reminded me of something that Agent Hart would use
I really appreciate your budget conscious EDC content. That said, I'd love a 'money no object' companion piece...perhaps then comparing and contrasting the two. Thanks for all you do
Never forget the simple “handkerchief” or small towel. One thing I pack and use all the time is a folding shoe horn that compactly fits into a little side pocket on my edc bag. I live in Tokyo and we are constantly taking shoes on and off even just to have a dinner at a restaurant. Another Japanese EDC item I carry is a folding fan with the flick of the wrist I have instant AC when walking to and from the train station on a hot day. Lastly, is a pair of nice wooden chopsticks that also fit at the bottom of my bag in a kimono fabric pouch. Great for a weapon if needed or an impromptu picnic with your girly friend. Domo arigato.
I’m a 28 year old woman and I’ve been following you for a few years now. I love this kind of content, and I’m sure my boyfriend loves the gifts I give him because of you. Actually, one of the first perfect gifts he ever gave me was a tiny flashlight similar to your rovyvon’s. Thank you Jon!
I’d love to see more videos on bags and other organizational tools. Tech bags, slings, backpacks, pouches, whatever! I always love the presentation and approach to your reviews and look forward to new releases!
KIT videos are my favorite - I always try to get the most functionality out of each piece to improve the overall handiness; more bang for the buck. Your kits have inspired me to build my own. Your recommendation of the RoxyVon A3 has made this my favorite flashlight, and I use it every day.

My favourite videos of yours are the EDC/travel videos which actually thinks about usability and practicality. Also, I think Jamie should come back for a fun video again soon. Love the interaction between you two!🤩🤣
My favourite content has always been your travel content especially your packing list from around a year ago. I enjoy watching all your different kits videos for different ones for different environments and situations (favourite kit being your Urban Essentials series or your car kit). Love the content and than you for another amazing video!
I particularly enjoy watching edc kits, carrying a wrap of gorilla tape in my rucksack recently saved me when a puncture on my mountain bike was caused by the tape in the rim of my wheel moving and exposing a sharp edge which was easily covered by a strip of said gorilla, which I've only started carrying after seeing your edc
Id love to see a pouch EDC video of items for general day to day problems. Hand warmers, bathroom wipes, tech cables, general medicine, stuff like that, but without the “survival” aspect. No need for a water filter, or a flashlight, or a tool kit, just day to day mishap-solver items for your average city person. Thanks for this amazing video!
@@rjv2241 not for most folks living in an city apartment, driving or taking public transit to the office in the morning, stopping at the cafe for a coffee, and coming home at 5:30pm. Many folks don’t need to be turning on a flashlight when there’s literally streetlights everywhere as soon as it becomes sunset. Sooo many people live this type of lifestyle, (and many of them are women with pocketbooks that have everything they need), but for a man without a pocketbook, an EDC setup that caters to basic needs (lip balm, wet wipes, stain removers) would be great, and I’m curious what Jon could think up in a pocketable pouch
Jon,I’m the US in Pennsylvania, and I truly enjoy your channel. I have a passion for flashlights, multi-tools, and anything power related. The various kits you’ve put together are very helpful, and have given me a lot of ideas. Please do more kits. Also, emergency car items. So many people are unprepared for an emergency in their car.
I can never get enough of your Kit videos(the ready to go pouches), they are a lot of fun and give people inspiration to do their own. I would also love to see more of the competitions you do with your editor, there are only a couple so far, but there should be a lot more.
I appreciated this EDC video. I work in an office and I am a graduate student/aspiring philosopher so I don't have too much need for the more rustic tools or tech that edc kits often include. I'm as analog as one can get without losing modern contact with others (Iphone and laptop are my only daily tech) and I love to see videos about pens and notebooks, pouches and bags that are durable but stylish rather than tactical and really appreciate customization in my gear. Thanks for all the content.
I have put together several edc carry pouches since watching your channel. Some people think I am crazy until they ask me to get them out of trouble. “Have you a knife or torch lost my keys down the drain” so I would like to see an edc for women to carry dare I say it. Thanks for the content
Me too! I use quite a few of Jon's recommendations in my EDC and travel kits and whilst I don't want 'girly' items I do find a few products a bit too military-looking.
It was definitely a breath of fresh air seeing the attention to detail. I live in Texas and have a multitude of wares yet no real way to collectively combine all in a classic yet decorative style. The misses would definitely notice. Nice!
It didn’t occur to me until this video but - edc storage systems/ideas - for those of us who have quietly amassed a lot of kit over the years. That would be helpful as well as interesting. Your content is already class leading Jon, thank you.
I would love to see an everyday men’s care kit because a lot of times I like to take in my sling is like a small deodorant or sanitation wipes or tide to go stick for my clothes or a solid cologne I really enjoy the convenience to help my self when I may have not prepared well that day or just being prepared. Thank you and I love your content 👍

@singlespeedpunk7744 yes like that. Like you 5.11 is a blackhole for my money. I have the defender straight jeans, couple pants, and love my apex shorts. My shirt jAcket from there has 7 pockets lol
I was looking for a hip flask for a very long time but it's hard to find recommendations from anyone respectable like yourself. NOW, what I really want to see you to cover in a video are henks, pocket tissues, pocket squares, hand kerchiefs, however you want to call them, different price points for different qualities from the everyday have many at home with good quality , to special more feature rich buy it for life options. I think it would be an awesome video.
Another good video. I’m struggling to minimize my EDC, yet have everything I need: Phone, knife/tools, cash and cards(credit and medical), lighter, flash, pen & paper, meds. One problem I have is everything must fit in front pockets (except perhaps phone) so I don’t sit on any sciatic aggravating bulges. It isn’t practical to carry a bag either. I do always wear a belt, and have considered a money belt, but not found one I like, nor tools to carry that way.
Have you looked at swiss army knives? They have alot of choices that would cover most of what you mentioned, pair that with a minimalist/edc wallet and you're basically good to go😊
@@thepunisher9698 oh yeah, I have several. I got a Compact based on Jon’s review. It is a great tool, but still a little bulkier than I’d like. Perfect would be same tools in a slimmer package.
why no bag? have you looked into runner's belts or minimalists bags that are no bigger than a small clutch purse? what about a jacket or vest that has internal pockets? look stylish while concealing your edc...similar to a fishing or tourist vest, but classier.....
I would love to see more gentlemen edc videos. This video has given me ideas on changing what I carry. I'm going to look into the key holder, knife, and wallet.
Hi John, I've always enjoyed your activity specific EDC packs. Example the travel or first aid EDC packs. Interestingly myself and friends have compared what we carry for work everyday which varies with our jobs. Myself an Arborist focus alot on safety knife, my mediarb compact first aid kit and being able to carry food and drink in a compact form (lots of insulated items) into forests and woodland. My friend Harrison who is a mental health nurse has lanyards with key cards, laptops and memory sticks, compact wallet EDC and charging packs. My other friend Dave is a mobile plant mechanic and has a large tool box, need for gps, power packs etc. so I would say "industry specific EDC content" Its interesting seeing what someone with a different job really values day to day. Also things that you wouldn't consider taking but would have value in your own profession.
I found your channel searching for Swiss army knives. I enjoy finding out about smaller brands that make unique carry items and your ever changing kits 😀
I’m someone who really struggles to minimize carry-ons and your EDC videos have been so informative! Maybe some personal advice around that or a minimalistic EDC video?
Hi Jon, as a fledgling English Gentleman in the making, this gear would be delightful. I do like collecting cool and useful EDC, could you show some Brass EDC, there’s some great stuff out there. Brass is an amazing metal, looks precious, antibacterial properties, corrosion resistant and has a lovely patina.
I've always enjoyed seeing new travel items and general EDC gear being showcased in your videos. It's inspired me to grab a bunch of things you've shown over the last few years to add to my rotation. Making traveling easier and daily carry more efficient.
More themed kits, technology you’re enjoying and little gizmos and gadgets you’ve been playing with. Always appreciate recommendations on gear you’ve actually been using for a while.
I'd like to see affordable coordinated kits. Especially for specific uses a profiles: an electric car kit. A camping kit. A downtown major city kit (knife not allowed). A work from home kit. Etc.
Another well thought out video Jon well done. For me there’s no need to add what i would like to see more off as your videos are ideal. The varied selection of items are right up my street. Also the fact you provide links to everything blows some other channels out the water. Well Done & keep up the good work Mike
I love all of your videos - especially the travel EDC and clothing updates. I’ll be building my own kit for a trip to Zambia and Zimbabwe later this year. But this video really got my attention - because of its loose association with The Gentlemen. I’d love to see more of this - EDC for characters like James Bond, Jack Reacher (who famously carries the bare minimum), or even Sherlock Holmes - you mentioned Abraham Lincoln - what would he carry (and might help him avoid the odd assassination attempt). Or, what to carry to survive a night in Jurassic Park, Westworld, or Yellowstone! Would love to see that!
I really think everyone would be interested and intrigued if you'd cover some of your travels. The destination, the likes and dislikes and how your EDC and packing skills enhanced your trips. Love your videos and jump every time I get notified of another awesome edition. Thanks so much
Would love to see more about your thought process behind selecting each item, why you prefer certain brands or designs, how you prioritise features, and what mistakes you've made and learned from would be incredibly valuable.
I honestly enjoy your edc video especially the ones that are down to earth, like this one, with honest and real things that one can need in a day by day basis. Keep up the good work!
I would love to see edc options for venues that do not allow bags (concerts, events, etc.) as well as practical edc for summertime activities. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next videos.
I am just getting into EDC, all thanks to your channel. A video for ideal EDC to have in your car would be great, because then size isn’t such a limiting factor. Thanks again for the content.
I find your comparative videos particularly helpful. While your judgement as to the “best” is often spot on, individual needs or changing needs often lead me to choose what is right for a particular day, so your insightful explanation of subtle differences leads me to informed purchases.
Greetings from Croatia ! I would like to see seasons (summer/winter etc..) differentiated EDC and ways to carry it (work/travel/vacation) but also more of this "classy" EDC, gives nice touch (some of us are gentlemen of certain age 😁 and can't wear "kiddy" staff)...
I really enjoy your content with thorough reviews, first hand experience with the items and range of prices. One thing I’d love to hear about is what you carry when you are just out for shopping or a restaurant. I’ve created several of your Maxpedition kits and have found them incredibly useful but use them more when it’s an extended outing.
I watch your videos from Italy and often take advice from you. I really enjoy the edc showdowns you do with your friend, I would love to see another one of those.
Hi Jon. Thanks for all the effort you put into the channel. And the video creation. I would like to see : ~ more business travel EDC ~ more compact light weight gadgets ~ more Amazon hauls of quality tested EDC that keeps me buying!
Hi Jon, I really enjoy seeing the products that are not typical edc. Such as the iron tide shorts and merino wool T-shirts from your Thailand trip. More things like that would be great.
I’ve always enjoyed your content Jon and like the range of budget you show. I would like to see more GB produced EDC like you have in this video and also deeper dives into say one or two products each segment. For example a high end and a budget friendly flash light comparison - review of each / pros & cons Also some really close up shots of some of the EDC kit you feature. Keep up the great work - I enjoy it greatly.
I always enjoy the unusual edc videos, but I know those can be hard to find new items for. I also enjoy videos showcasing that you don't always have to spend a TON of money to get good quality stuff.
Hey Jon! I’d love to see EDC gear for dads and how we can keep ourselves best prepared for looking after ourselves and our little ones when we are out and about! Thanks for all the content you produce 💯
I would enjoy seeing more quality, clever, budget items. All of the presentations are informative, but I love the moments when I have to pause and either purchase, add to wish list, or make notes on projects to complete right away. Specific examples: my hiking and vehicle kits now contain duct tape flat wrapped on stiff cardboard. Why on earth did I never think of that? An old spare hammer has been cut down and wrapped with tennis racket grip tape to fit the car pack as it should. Our extended family fleet of vehicles feature Bibury multi tools in the glove boxes, although I carry something else. The intersection of smart and thrifty brings a smile!
I really enjoy your picks that can be worn in public that do not alarm the general public, i.e. non-tactical knives, lights, etc. I would also be interested in how you would put together a gentleman’s cache belt for the impending apocalypse, 😂.
I appreciate the fact that you discuss knife and tool carry in non-permissive environments and would even like to see your air travel edc recommendations
Love to see a bit of &Sons on the channel. I love their clothing and I need to get to their shop one day. As for future content… it’s hard to add to what you already give us. Maybe some rugged EDC or testing products to make sure they’d last? You could have videos dedicated to individual rooms in the house, with gadgets for the bathroom, kitchen, sitting room etc. Or even for specific activities such as BBQing, driving, picnics etc. I’m also a massive fan of themed collections, whether that’s a colour or material which links them all together.
Love your work Jon, any multi tool and edc content is always a winner for me. Innovative small electronics, charging, data storage, and transfer. Cheers.
I would like to see your newest take on a most compact, yet complete, on the move tech bag and gear. It should ideally have ability to charge, storage-solutions, mail checking abilities, etc. Something you could set up easily on a train-drive and fold away in a couple of minutes. Ideally weigh and take as little space as possible too. I'm trying to make my setup atm and would love to see your take for ideas.
I really appreciate your in depth gear reviews, and commentary on what the best and most useful pieces of kit for general EDC are, highlighting options that are accessible but might not be widely known. Also, your purpose specific kit builds are really handy.
Personally, I love seeing your budget friendly edc videos that range from knives to tools to bags and all things in between, i would love an updated every day backpack video if i were to request one thing 😂 (in the market for a good work backpack that I could convert into a nappy bag when I'm out and about with the little lad)
The Nomad case is a true winner, had it for a year now. I'd love to see more of this office / business / gentleman suited EDC. Most things EDC looks great in apocalypse setting, not in business... Loved this.
EDC? Personal security items. My eldest son's wife, who has to walk through quite a rough part of town, asked me what I would suggest. An interesting question. Obviously, no ninja throwing starts etc. However, it does raise the question of what, particularly for a young woman, might be useful every day (security) carry.
look in to self defense key chains; also consider a walking staff. even an (large) aluminum flashlight w/high brightness can help (think bludgeon and blind)...plenty of edc self defense for women w/o looking like a 300lb body guard. self defense classes also help for added piece of mind
Hey man, i think reviewing other EDC items is really appreciated, but the main content that always brings me back to you channel is to keep up-to-date with foldable pocket knives for EDC. Keep it up
I personally would like to see more kits, like car EDC, travel, camping and so on. Really enjoy your unique look on things and making super useful kits which are rather small as well.
Thanks Jon. I'd love to see more travel edc as I have benefited greatly from your past videos for my regular travels. I also enjoy your multi tool comparison. Keep up the good work.
I love your practical EDC videos such as your home tool kit. I think you could make a cycling EDC kit, a train commute EDC kit, and holiday EDC for different climates - that is carry-on safe but focussed on stuff you would carry at the destination.
I only came across your channel recently when researching pocket multi tools, and because of your content I went with the Victorinox Huntsman, so as far as it goes for “preferred content”, you just keep posting whatever you feel and I’ll stay an avid watcher.
In general i like most of your content. What i realy would like to see more is the combination of Travel and EDC gear. Your video "My CARRY-ON Travel Gear TESTED!" is one of my all time favorite videos. Although the Gentlemans EDC as a certain apeal... I imagine that the EDC could/should be adjusted depending on where you travel to. Winter in Iceland would be way different then Tailand I guess... So i would love to see more EDCs that are optimized for specific situations / travel-countries. Suggestions would be a best-man EDC for a wedding, travel to South-Europe, Tracel to Canada, Buiseness EDC that can hide in a Suit and similar stuff...
Thanks Jon for the “gentlemen’s” review😊. Love that pocket knife (amongst other things) but expensive as expected. In answer to your question…..keep doing what you’re doing please, because it’s always a pleasure and relaxing and enjoyable to watch. You are the reason I own the Rovyvon A8 pocket flashlight which for me is actually the most wonderful little (tiny) companion torch to have with you on an EDC basis. Ok now I’m going to show my age factor, but in an imaginary world, if I could have had something like that as kid…..it would be equivalent to a Lightsaber!1😂 And also thanks btw to you for your coverage re the U4 Pro, another excellent little EDC product. Love your show! Keith.
It would be great to see some daily pocket carry shorts. I love seeing what people carry daily in the real world (not just for reviews) you could do a quick YT short each week, showing what you really are carrying that week.
Hi Jon I would definitely like to see more videos featuring Gentleman style gear as opposed to "tactical" that is found on so many other channels. You do gentleman very well.
I only recently discovered your channel, but I've been really enjoying the content. My favorite kind of stuff usually revolves around watches and EDC knives/multitools. I like to see comparisons between budget, mid-range, and luxury options with pros and cons for each. Thank you for the work you do on this channel!

@dougbotimer8005 oh cool! Ooh what about the card version? Depending on how many cards you have to carry, might fit well in a slim wallet
@@thepunisher9698 If only a Swiss card has a bundle hook.
why no bag? have you looked into runner's belts or minimalists bags that are no bigger than a small clutch purse? what about a jacket or vest that has internal pockets? look stylish while concealing your edc...similar to a fishing or tourist vest, but classier.....
Big fan of your travel videos where you're showing what gear you are packing and all the pouches you pack. Always has me searching for new products!
i love your themed videos like this one where you try to come up with a combination that fits a persona. would love to see more of that!
While I like all the videos, I tend to get more inspiration from the “kit”videos. The travel kits have given me lots of good ideas.
Hi Jon, more kits would be awesome, they tend to be my favorite type of videos. UK friendly knives would be great too !
Best EDC channel! Hopelessly addicted to this subject. My favorites are the pens, flashlights and watches, and... just all of it. Thank you.
Well Done & keep up the good work
Mike
Big fan of the torches you highlight - not many reviewers do. But also appreciate you showing how you pack kits and bags alike
I really think everyone would be interested and intrigued if you'd cover some of your travels. The destination, the likes and dislikes and how your EDC and packing skills enhanced your trips. Love your videos and jump every time I get notified of another awesome edition. Thanks so much
What I enjoy about your videos is the variety of different gear and gear types covered, so I'd say just keep up the great work and the variety Jon!
I’d love to see a good deep dive on a blackout kit. What you should have on hand when you shelter in place! Thanks
I am just getting into EDC, all thanks to your channel. A video for ideal EDC to have in your car would be great, because then size isn’t such a limiting factor. Thanks again for the content.
What what brought me to the channel was the keychain multi tool videos, which helped me pick the right keychain multi tool for me.
I find your comparative videos particularly helpful. While your judgement as to the “best” is often spot on, individual needs or changing needs often lead me to choose what is right for a particular day, so your insightful explanation of subtle differences leads me to informed purchases.
New items like this new Gentlemens video would be great - utilizing your formats with new items from all
over the world. Thanks much Jon!
Love to see a pocketable UK friendly carry ultimate EDC set up. Small. Useful. Legal. Keep up the good work!
Your EDC content is some of the best on youtube. Your kits are actually slim and practical and more of those vids would be appreciated!
Please do one for the car! Would love to see what gear you like and how your using it! Thankx🤗
Hi Jon. Thanks for all the effort you put into the channel. And the video creation.
I would like to see :
~ more business travel EDC
~ more compact light weight gadgets
~ more Amazon hauls of quality tested EDC that keeps me buying!
For example a high end and a budget friendly flash light comparison - review of each / pros & cons
Also some really close up shots of some of the EDC kit you feature.
I’d like to see more videos about high end items and the comparable more affordable options! Thanks for the content!
I think some more edc battles based on budget or theme like the amazon one you did with Jamie last year would be fun
I’d love to see more of your ‘get me home’ kits, I enjoy seeing your thought process behind them 👍
Personally, I love seeing your budget friendly edc videos that range from knives to tools to bags and all things in between, i would love an updated every day backpack video if i were to request one thing 😂 (in the market for a good work backpack that I could convert into a nappy bag when I'm out and about with the little lad)
Thank you for these ideas!
I would suggest a video on tools you can keep on your keys, from multitools to the tiny tool from orbit key.
I like the new multi tools vids. Especially the ones with replaceable components. Please make more of those. Thank you for all you do!
I always like your eclectic and unusual EDC videos, and the faceoffs with Jamie on EDC set-ups are fun!
Gentlemen carry. What's an excellent idea? Wouldn't mind seeing a few different variations of the same with possible ways to go or look vintage.
I'd love to see a comprehensive list of battery banks you have used and a buyer's guide
Keith.
Great video as always. Thank you. I'd like to see the lady's EDC version of this video. Can you ask your wife to share her EDC favorites?
I appreciate all your videos. I would like to see additional compact EDC, Travel, or Emergency kits
This is the first of your videos I’ve encountered, but its premise is very appealing. I’d happily watch more edc for the modern gentleman.
EDC for the working geek. Already carrying Leatherman, Rovyvon, and several other pieces of gear based off your videos.
I only recently discovered your channel, but I've been really enjoying the content. My favorite kind of stuff usually revolves around watches and EDC knives/multitools. I like to see comparisons between budget, mid-range, and luxury options with pros and cons for each. Thank you for the work you do on this channel!
The Space Pen deserves mention due to several of the design options and unique functionality of all. Thank you for brilliant videos.
I enjoy your channel and especially like when you and your mate each make selections of gear and compare your combinations.
