The biggest mistake most CS players make when trying Valorant is playing it like it's CS and expecting all the skill to carry over. I can already tell you 70% of what people normally do in CS would not work in Valorant. They're both different enough to completely throw off a player when playing one over the other.

Atleast they have an advantage starting Valorant compared to no fps exp players at all.

My advantage is tracing. Jett and raze feels slow to me

Man i remember when I first switched over haha, Global and LVL10 faceit, came to val and was ASS. Now after 600 hours I hit immortal 3. Game is super fun and has a massive learning curve GL

As someone who has reached supreme in CSGO and only diamond in Valorant, I can say that both of these games are the same enough that the transition is relatively smooth for most players but it also can be overwhelming if you lack knowledge on the agents you're going up against. I would say the gun play is a little worse compared to csgo but the abilities adds a whole other dimension to the game that allows for crazier clutches imo. i play csgo way more still, but valorant is also fun from time to time... Weird that so many people choose sides and automatically think you have to dislike the other depending on which one you play lol.

Both games are really fun but in my opinion it's much easier to transition from Valorant to CSGO since you don't have to deal with all these bullshit abilities and agents. CSGO is more aim heavy and Valorant is balance of both.

i too came from CS, i tried phoenix as my first agent and he have kinda similiar utility like in CS, but then i unlocked KAY/O and i can say he is the best agent to play if you came from CS

Asian global (post-rank shift), 12000elo CS2 premier, ascendant 2 (top 3%) player here, for me aiming in valorant is significantly easier because for lower recoil and slower movement speed. When i played my first game i wasnt doing too well either, but after learning the maps, weapons, and abilities, i was able to rankup from bronze 2 to platinum 1 quite quickly (top 10% in asia, season 3) in 2 acts!
the higher rank you go actually the more fun it is, because in higher ranks there are less smurfs, people are generally more mature, less cringe, less toxic, and actually trying to win.
Platinum is DEFINITELY NOT top 10% 😭 You over estimate your abilities bro

Have been played CSGO for 7 years, reaching global elite and lvl10 but had to change with because my old pc couldnt give me enough fps on cs2. Very good game overhole. You have to be use to abilities and shoot mecanics. In CS you can rely on your spray pattern when you miss the head, but itd not the cas in Val where you have to get a very good first accuracy bullet. Cs is better for me in terms of mechanic (movement, behop, spray,...), skins (for peaple interest except knives) but the feeling when you hit shots in Val is amazing, the ranking system same, and the concern from RIOT is bigger than in cs. Give it a try ;) Both games are still incredible ❤

Can someone explain why he had map knowledge. He knew what angles to cover. It's not possible to see from mini map and make your aim on the perfect corners and please tell me why his friend would buy so expensive skins if he hasn't played much because clearly he only unlocked cyoher and neon as extra.

you should play kayo. his flash is just like the csgo flash and is honestly kind of broken
tbh kayo is the best agent for CSGO players, since he has a flash, a molly, and disables enemy agent abilities, meaning they're basically forced to use guns

I've been playing val for nearly a year and he's already better than me.
In my opinion the best agent to choose in Valorant as a CS player in general is choose KAYO. Quite similar but not that identically same.

I Suggest you try playing as KAY/O that robot Agent, i Main him since he's the closest agent you can use that's really close to CSGO. He has thing Flashbang that acts like the Flashbang from CSGO. He has this Swarm grenade which acts like sort of a Frag Grenade and Molotov in CS. And he has this Knife Throw thing which disables the agents Abilities for a certain amount of time.
I play a lot of csgo, play in a good amateur Team, I play Valo like once every two weeks and always play KAY/0, disabling peoples abilitys and Just swing and one tapping them is Just awesome lol

To be honest tho people keep comparing CS to Valo but in reality Valo is more similar to something like R6 Siege with skills and heroes. When I rush B I don't want to fckin check for tripwires or mines or cameras or a bajilion things

it's the settings, obviously his friend's account is new so he doesn't have many agents, he didn't put the optimal settings etc. and his MMR is not high since he seems to be playing against bronzes or silvers
