There is something so surreal about watching a purposefully designed 6ft+ tall black man dressed as a Samurai walk through Japan, towering over all the native Japanese and having them all bow to him as if he's a God. This entire game is nothing but pure fiction, and is 100% disrespectful to Japanese people. Theres are "no" historical primary sources that prove Yasuke as a "samurai" (= high-rank warrior with horseback). Whole historical primary sources are only three: they can be shown 1-2 A4 pages. African samurai by Thomas Lockley and Geoffrey Girard is a story of 480 pages: 99 % statements in the book are fiction.
Yasuke was a slave of Jesuit. He was given to Oda Nobunaga, and became a luggage carrier of him. Yasuke is the first protagonist that actually isn’t an assassin. Even Kassandra, Eivor and Shay were assassins, just not the capital A ones. Edit: I am not sure if everyone is understanding the difference between ‘Assassin’ and ‘assassin’ so here is an explanation: “assassin” is a silent killer, usually because of different believes. “Assassin” (notice the clear capital A here) is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. You can be an assassin that isn’t from the Brotherhood, which is what Kassandra, Eivor and Shay and I believe even Haytham were. You can also be an Assassin that isn’t an assassin, though I don’t recall AC having given any examples so far. Although I guess it kinda makes sense since that would go against their “hide in plain sight” tenet.

that Naoe gameplay is genuinely the best AC has looked in years. I cant remember the last time we so much emphasis on stealth mechanics, its a shame they didn't build the game entirely around her, would have been a quintessential assassins creed title.

Whole historical primary sources are only three: they can be shown 1-2 A4 pages.
African samurai by Thomas Lockley and Geoffrey Girard is a story of 480 pages: 99 % statements in the book are fiction.

Yasuke is the first protagonist that actually isn’t an assassin. Even Kassandra, Eivor and Shay were assassins, just not the capital A ones.
Edit: I am not sure if everyone is understanding the difference between ‘Assassin’ and ‘assassin’ so here is an explanation:
“assassin” is a silent killer, usually because of different believes.
“Assassin” (notice the clear capital A here) is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. You can be an assassin that isn’t from the Brotherhood, which is what Kassandra, Eivor and Shay and I believe even Haytham were. You can also be an Assassin that isn’t an assassin, though I don’t recall AC having given any examples so far. Although I guess it kinda makes sense since that would go against their “hide in plain sight” tenet.

yasuke is stated in historical records to be nothing more than a servant - who had not fought any battles nor worn any armor.
the other two? sure, might be a stretch, but there’s enough leeway for you to suspend disbelief. this game? not really. they’ve taken a historical figure of which we know enough about and have directly contradicted what the records say.
it’s a shame as well, since the gameplay actually looks really good - they just made the crucial error of having yasuke be an actual samurai, in spite of the records
that Naoe gameplay is genuinely the best AC has looked in years. I cant remember the last time we so much emphasis on stealth mechanics, its a shame they didn't build the game entirely around her, would have been a quintessential assassins creed title.
Glad they saw and took the opportunity to add YASUKE though. Incredibly cool concept
Mirage? It had far more gadgets and tools with added variations. Honestly that stealth is looking like it'll remain better than this.

They just recently turned their coat and used the ''It all fiction lmao'' the moment Japan complained about it.

歴史的な街や文化を疑似体験できる点が非常に魅力的で、歴史の教材に使われるほど綿密な再現をされているという事も大きな魅力です。
いつか、日本を題材にしたアサクリをプレイしたいと思っていたところゴーストオブツシマがその願いを少し叶えてくれました。
そして、ついに日本を舞台としたアサクリが発売されると聞き楽しみにしてたのですが非常に残念です。

Saw this trailer from an article saying "Assassin's Creed Shadows has the best-looking AC combat in ages, and I love that you can crawl through grass". So they put Yasuke as the main character in the game and hoped that the game would be popular worldwide. This was a wrong idea from the beginning. Because this way of thinking does not care about the needs of real game fans. All they care about is how to attract the most money from game fans.
