To be honest I'm not sure. I just booted up the game and my friend hosted. I figured all of them were unlocked cause it was quick play or unranked.

I have played both valo and cs .
Cs is mecanically harder and not so much noob friendly while valo is much more noob friendly you just need yo know the abilities
