I play valorant because I love cgi, vfx, and animations. I still love CSGO content and anything eSports related on both ends. I play val for the visuals. My point is, its really not that deep. They're both great games and I'll probably play a lot of CS2.
What I'm trying to show to the csgo community with these comments is that they should stop hating so much and just enjoy your game. Maybe try val and you might like it. Don't look at it like it's a threat to CSGO because no game can be a threat to CSGO. CSGO will always be a god-tier game no matter what

@@gEditzz28473 it was mostly the gameplay, movement, guns, economy, and map designs. many of Valorant's map elements are similar to CSGO's. there's a few others but Valorant is basically a counterpart to CSGO

It would be more accurate to say gunplay rather than just “guns”, as guns existed before cs, but that would fall under gameplay.
The CS bias is crazy! Both CS and VAL are great games and both have great skins, but VAL skins having special animations and kill effects is nowhere near a bad thing😂
They don’t like it because their boring skins have nothing that differentiates them other than the textures and material. CS would benefit from Valorant style skins as long as they stick to the art style. Sadly telling a cs player that would have them throw a tantrum.

the special animations are from the offical vct music videos

I could see CS:GO adding something like this but without flashy graphics, the enemy could die in a certain way which tells you that it is over.

The effects themselves are cool in a vacuum but for them to be cool you have to have a game built on cringe.
All of these would look horrendous in CS, any kill effect whatsoever would because it would completely clash with the grittier style.
So yes the effects are nice but for them to be "nice" you have to have a game that looks like a mobile game filled to the brim with cartoony aspects.

1:47 idk who told him that the different skin variants are more money, they arent. you have to pay a different currency called radianite to upgrade skins/unlock variants and unless you pay like hundreds on skins you are never gonna have to pay for more radianite. One battle pass gives you a ton and you can max a battle pass with like 4 hours of playing per week easy.
As someone who plays both games sometimes..Its crazy how much CS players hate valorant like they will be hating on valorant in chat during pro matches...I never..i mean it never see any valorant chat hating on CSGO..I believe that valorant has a younger player base but they are respectful towards other games but CSGO players are always valorant this...valorant that.

Back when I played cs and valorant was kinda new, I tried valorant but stuck to cs because the movement feelt way smoother in comparison to valorant, valorant movement felt kinda sticky and slow. But even as a cs player I thought valorant was cool in it's own right, the skins are awesome and the "cartoony" art style fits pretty well. I don't get why people have to pick a side... I do play valorant nowadays and yeah I think the characters should move a little faster for skill ceiling but other than that it's in a good state.

1:49 i will say, you actually get whats called "Radianite" from the battlepass to upgrade tiers. You dont have to purchase the battlepass to receive the "Radianite" however, you get more with the battelpass. Most games would give you back the currency you spent by upgrading the pass over time. Like how Fortnite gives vbucks or how apex gives the Tokens you buy (not sure what theyre called) But Valorant gives the radianite.
5:17 its usually 6-7 seconds the red part can only activate if the bomb needs to be defused first, also for the other ones its when you go underneath it

for the champions skins you dont have to wait for that long, you have to just stand below the main finisher to see the other finisher

by "something different" you mean everything is different, cs merely changes the color pattern that is on the gun but you can get value via trading, valorant goes a step further by changing weapon models, shot/reload/kill sounds, reload and last kill animation but a step by back by making it non tradeable, so they cant be more different

different utilities depending on player (agent)
different defuse stlye (half defuse, no kits buyable)
no boosting (player boosts) ;(
easy jump throw (cs2 also is gonna get it)
clearer animations (like smokes, or outlines (better for our (non war) veterans))
different rank system
different AC
different queue
different casual game modes
diefferent skin system
OHNE: they copied everything
they still copied the general idea of cs, yes it has a shit ton of different things (like agent based abilities and those goofy ass round ending kills) but its still a counter strike clone at heart
Most of what you mentioned isnt even related to the core gameplay...
The chasis is stolen 1:1, the body is made to look different enough to squeak by.
- The "completely different" guns you mentioned literally play the exact same way with the same spray patterns just randomized like CS1.6
- Most of the "agent utility" is just repackaged nades from CS and the rest of it is yoinked from Overwatch
- Jump throwing has always been consistent, the inconsistency was 64tick vs 128tick, if you played only MM your jump throws would always work the same way.

different guns: no, alot of the weapons are the same as in cs, classic is glock, usp is same as ghost, deagle is sherrif, vandal is ak, phantom is the a1s, marshal is the scout, bulldog is the famas, just the awp and op have the same name which is the funniest thing.
the rest of the things u mentioned are mostly different, even if they look different (sherrif is a revolver wheras deagle isnt, doesnt matter because they are both the exact same in function, price (relative to each games economy) and purpose
(some valo maps dont have a 2x2 layout like the two with 3 sites but the rest of them do)

these finishers are extra long because he's playing custom and the round never ends, It's the same in CS if the custom music plays from the people that buy it, And then the round ends, It's the same here with finishers it doesn't stop gameplay
the champions skins last kill animation aren't long , they are just showcasing it thats why its long but in game, its just the same.

If you're talking about csgo at the last part, his argument is that "You can just re-sell it" which is kind of stupid because most casual players (which is most of Valorant's player base) don't have 500 dollars for a entry price on only one skin, and the currency to purchase variants of skins come free of charge
