Those straight lines down from left shoulder showing the swing low point relative to the clubface are really eye opening. Thanks for this superb instructional video.
I was hitting my driver with an extreme hook, but my irons were nice and pure. Today, I had an in-person lesson with a PGA trainer to sort out my extreme hooking with my driver. Long story short, he had me set up with my head behind the ball and bump my hips forward (my head was way too far forward). That one small adjustment was a night and day difference with my drives. I stopped extreme hooking with my drives because of that small adjustment of head back toward the middle of my stance and hips slightly forward. Now I understand why the setups have to be different. Thanks, Nick, for posting this video. It has helped to solidify the difference between the two and what I was doing wrong.
I always in the back of my mind was wondering about the differences and never, other than position of the golf ball, resolved them. Thanks for the side by side comparison.
Thank you!!! I needed this. As always great video!!! This is where i was confusing the two. I was bumping everything over with driver . My head was off center same as iron but also my hip even more. Wow . This is the video I needed . What you are doing is great. Keep it up. I have been playing since july 4th 2020 . I have found you 3 months ago. Adapting the stack and tilt to my game has change everything for the better. It even makes me feel comfortable at the 1st tee off because i have so much confidence that i will at least drive the ball 🤣🤣. Still need practice. The main thing is I am more consistent. Thank you Nick.
I am still battling over rotating my hips on the down swing. I manage to still create shaft lean and some lag but my hips are just rotated early at impact. I believe from my swing videos I need to adjust my side tilt with the hip bump left and somehow convince my hips to not rotate until impact.
I never noticed before how much your right heel comes off the ground on the downswing. Does that assist with the hip rotation. I lift my right heel (lefty) on the backswing which helps with a my shoulder turn. Great video comparison.
Great explanation. Just watched Rob video on Hit hard, stop quick and now I'm interested in where you and Rob end your follow thru in regards to stop quick exercise?
Oddly I have always found hitting the driver easier than hitting irons. I just got new irons & when I hit them they go high, long & straight. However, I seem to early extend with irons & that causes a problem. I'm trying to get a more laid back tempo, especially on the downswing because I swing too hard & fast, which I think causes me to early extend when I don't hit my irons well.

Thats great, pleased to hear that
Thanks nick...I broke 80 for the second time in my life and your tip of left shoulder alignment on driver and 7 iron kept me consistent all day!
That's awesome Chuck

Yes this is a good thought if you swing out to in

Excellent, curios as to grip pressure, tempo (pace) an rhythm (sequence) of your 2 swings?
It doesn’t feel too different, maybe slightly less grip pressure and higher tempo with the driver
Can you get the club shallow during the stack and tilt ?
Yes for sure
Is there a difference btween driver and wood besides ball position? Same hip bump forward and wider stance, correct?
Correct
Hi Nick. What is your driver weight distribution compared to your iron?
Lower body similar but head back with wider stance with driver

Usually most golfers hit either the driver or irons better but the majority struggle with the driver using S&T for some reason
