Years ago I called the Stack & Tilt headquarters for access to the website. There were issues. Andy answered the phone for both calls I made. He coached me over the phone. The conversations lasted somewhere between 15-20 minutes each time. I was really impressed at how he was genuinely interested in students he had never met. What a first class guy with incredible knowledge.
It really can't be overstated how vital the external rotation of the trail shoulder is. I've found that it makes rotation through the ball almost automatic. Dispersion, shot shape, ball strike. It really is the key that unlocks the swing.
Rob, I think you answered my question. I had been driving my legs and hitting pushes, unable to bring hand and club path “in”. This seems to bring it “in” would you apply force to the motion or let it happen after lateral weight shift?
I think that stack and tilt , is the perfect golf swing protocol, apart from one thing. I start with my weight totaly on the left side, but lift the left heel transfering my weight to the right foot . Just before transition, my rotating mass is moving to the left hand side aka stack & tilt . The problem with keeping your weight entirely on the left side, keeps all weight forward and its very difficult to keep the clubhead on the inside plane. Ie it wants to come over the top of the plane. That little left / right weight shift allows it to loop onto the inside. Apart from the my golf swing is the same and i am scratch golfer.
Nick you're a great instructor and a humble student at the same time, while Andy's simply masterful to have been able to pick out and fix the structure of your right arm. Great video, thanks.
Nick, this video has saved me with Stack and Tilt. I follow the advice you received but I’m a bit in need of clarification if you can. I do the following. I follow the rotation of the movement of the right arm and right shoulder on backswing. It feels nice and tight. On downswing I definitely shift my lower body laterally to start the downswing, but I don’t know if I’m actually supposed to “swing with the arms around the corner” or if I’m supposed to “let” club cone around the corner because of how the right arm and shoulder “go back” If you could tell what “you do” in that move I’d appreciate it.
Great stuff Nick. I am too old for the hip thrust thing. But everyone can take something from your excellent vids. For example i have trained myself & now with every club in the bag so the weight remains 90% ish on the lead left foot, ankle, leg.its work wonders ,i can break 80 again 1st time in a long time.Theres something in this for everyone.cheers,John.
Stopped halfway through to tell you this is 💰. As a pull drawer of the ball thank you for serving as a guinea pig! I'm already incorporating the set-up adjustment in my swing. Great stuff! Tell Rob "Hello!" BTW, far too much talent in that Golftec Singapore office. 😁
@@NickTaylorGolf Definitely. Can you elaborate on what The General discussed relative to "3 and 1?" Also the vertical shaft plane - I'm guessing that had to do with keeping the butt lower through impact. Regardless, this was great insight for the better player problem. Thanks.
Awesome!!! Congrats Nick get a lesson from the S&T Yoda!!!! I do the elbow tucked in method too after watching Jess Frank demonstrate on his channel. Made such an improvement of ensuring I'm staying connected with my arms.
It helps a lot, I thought i was doing it but no where bear enough. It was a great experience to have Andy give me a lesson and hopefully this lesson will help others out there
Brilliant to see this Nick. I too suffer from pull draws. I've never hut the ball better that when I changed to this swing. Everyones first comment when they hear me hit a ball is how the strike sounds totally different to everyone else's impact. And seeing this and my swing I too don't get the shaft shallow enough. I'm in similar positions to you all the way to the top and I also have a roll type release but instead of swinging down the line I go left very early. Great to be able to see Andy explain the outcomes to the changes and what they do. Keep up the great work. Always very interesting to see your videos.
Thanks for posting this lesson, Nick. I applaud you as a professional still understanding that everyone can always improve. I’m really working on bringing my right elbow in!
I have had the exact same problem, in a practice round yesterday my playing partner pointed out that my right hand was overpowering my swing causing me to push my shots to the left. I tried holding my right elbow in to stop pushing, low and behold it worked. I noticed it also let the left arm lead through and the right just power through from the bottom. Thanks Nick & Andy Good video It helped to reinforce something I stumbled upon.
Nick, thank you for your videos. Between your coaching and also Rob Cheney (found him first- he recommended your channel) my golf game has been completely transformed. Your 2-part slow motion video breakdown of the driver swing helped me tremendously as I was completely lost with that part of my game. Keep up the great content and I look forward to continuing a learning process with your thoughts and drills.
Hi NIck , it looks like to me that you show cracking the whip without deeper swinging the left arm to the left (as seen in your clip on the power of the left arm, and want it too) while Mr. Andy suggests more rotation coming into follow thru, keeping the right wrist bent longer. So what to choose here.
Nick, I’m having a hard time pushing a good majority of my shots. When I aim a little right and do “what you did” prior to this lesson I can work the ball much easier right to left?????
Nick, please answer this question. when you were coming through the ball with your right shoulder protracting on the downswing and your elbow inward, are you applying a swing after you shift your weight or are you just letting the momentum of your weight shift? Bring your elbow and forearm through the ball in front of you.
@@NickTaylorGolf so you’re right elbow position, which was more in front of you just came through the ball naturally this answers a couple of questions because I’ve always wondered how much exertion if any I’m supposed to apply through the ball and I think you just answered it for me. It really is an amazing feeling to piggyback on your video because I feel my elbowis kind of leading my right side motion through the ball if that makes any kind of sense
@@NickTaylorGolf I don’t mean to be labor this, but would it be fair to say in regard to your response that there is no reason to exert extra force with the arms other than what the weight shift generates?
Does shaft length matter with the stack and tilt? What’s your driver length? Is it better to be fit property for height or just whatever you’re comfortable with?
Nick, if you would consider addressing this question I have regarding the gem tip Andy gave you in your right shoulder placement, and action of your right arm coming in and around. I have worked on this and my only confusion is in how much laterally to drive hip and not “rotate” Andy seems to be telling you to “apply” force with that correctly changed position of the right arm. I think your error prior was having your right shoulder “too high” and you’d come over. If I copy what Andy did with you in the changes to your right shoulder and arm will that “automatically” come in impact and around the corner when I drive my lower body toward the target? 🎯 Thank you for your content. I’m just confused how to bring the hand and clubhead “in” the grid, but this seems to “make that happen”
$350 for 1.5hr im thinking about it lol. Really not bad for a coach of his caliber. Seems like everybody is 150-200/hr these days. 350 for 90 min comes out to 233/hr

That is so awesome! Andy Plummer is an incredibly knowledgeable person.
Best in the world in my opinion
So easy to miss shallowing the club. Thanks to Andy for coming by and looking forward to more content from Nick.

Great for Andy to reward one of the best S&T youtubers ever. Rob is going to want some more strokes next time you golf together.

You are a excellent instructor and ball Stricker.
Thankyou for watching 🙏
Ill be studying this one for a while. Expert instruction here!
What a Great lesson! Thanks Andy and Nick😊❤️⛳️
Thankyou for watching
Amazing how Nick, a stack and tilt expert can improve with a lesson on stack and tilt.
Thanks for watching Michael, I’m always learning everyday
This is just awesome! It seems your shoulder brings the club down but you tuck your right elbow in and hold your right hand position.
Thanks for sharing.set up is so important
Yes Justin, can easily be overlooked
Great video Nick. The right arm position is what I need to work on as well.

Wow Nick what an excellent compliment around 14:15 from Andy as well as his pinpoint accurate tip..Great Video
Nick thank you for this as you probably know that right elbow down move was Moe Norman's "Magic move" exactly the same.
Yes one of the best ball strikers of all time

Fabulous video and teaching moments. It helped clarify a lot in my mind. Now, can my body execute.
Nick, big difference on downswing and exit, good for you for allowing us to see that lesson. Good to see Andy there with you and Rob.
Thanks Steve, it was great to have Andy in town

That was great. Am reading the book and will be incorporating S&T into my teaching for sure. First to implement it on my 90s swing.
Thanks Michael, good luck with your swing and teaching

Andy the man
Andy explained the holy grail of golf ( the magic right elbow) how it works so clearly.. can’t wait to go to the range tomorrow 🏌🏿
Good luck with the practice Paul 💪
Awesome, golf lesson !
Terrific video! I’m working on the exact same thing right now. Thanks for sharing your lesson!!

What was your feel for getting right elbow in front if you?
Very cool
Thankyou
Hi nick, would you be able to recommend a s+t coach in the north of england ?
Thanks
Do you give lessons, remote? I’ve been using S and T for about a year and it seems to fit my style. I want to improve
Wow
Nick, after making that adjustment did you have to square the club at impact or did lower body rotation square it naturally as club moved in?
Nick, please answer this question. when you were coming through the ball with your right shoulder protracting on the downswing and your elbow inward, are you applying a swing after you shift your weight or are you just letting the momentum of your weight shift? Good question, in this lesson I felt more with the momentum of the weight shift, as I was trying to develop the feel with a slower swing speed

This is a lot of people i think
What’s on the mat ?
I assume yes, but same elbow movement with the driver?
The missing link 😊
Yes, looking forward to working on this
Man I would love a one on one with andy for a few hours. Im sure I couldnt afford him tho whats he charging for his time these days lol
