Honestly i bought three for my kids... I love how personal you can get with garlic os but on one of my kids systems i put koriki on. Honestly installing koriki was 10 times easier than navigating garlic os (don't even get me started on box art on garlic os it's a nightmare). On koriki i put my screenscraper image mixes where they needed to be and they just work no image magick or adjusting they just go where they are supposed to. So in my opinion i love koriki for the ease of installation and user interface, but garlic wins with the ease of launching recently played games
I have one of the Anbernics which looks like this but has one analogue stick. Not sure the exact model number but all I want to do now is run Min UI on it.
I personally think they're equal and depends what you really want. Having N64, PSP and DS on the Anbernic is a plus rather than a selling point, because the performance on those systems is not the best and it comes with other issues as shown in this video. If you want a slightly bigger device with HDMI out, RTC and better screen and build quality get this one. If you want WiFi, a more robust OS (Onios is easier to install and has more functions than Garlic), more battery life and better feeling D-Pad, get the Miyoo.

The form factor was just perfect, it fit in my pocket without being annoying. I've thought about getting another, however I feel like maybe there are better options from Anbernic. It is really confusing seeing as there are so many options out there, so I ask, what is the best replacement/upgrade for the 351M? I'd prefer something that could do PSP better, and maybe run PS2 as well.
So in my opinion i love koriki for the ease of installation and user interface, but garlic wins with the ease of launching recently played games
did you turn on threaded video? Koriki runs bloody roar just fine here on the rg35xx
Thanks for the video, hope koriki continues to be supported as it has massive potential. Maybe Garlic OS might get an update too, which would be nice.
I briefly considered selling my RG35XX but I am glad I didn't. 😊
Looking at getting a Retroid Pocket 3+ next.
I have one of the Anbernics which looks like this but has one analogue stick. Not sure the exact model number but all I want to do now is run Min UI on it.
so, would you say that this is a better choice overall than the miyoo mini plus now, with the new CFW updates?
No
I personally think they're equal and depends what you really want. Having N64, PSP and DS on the Anbernic is a plus rather than a selling point, because the performance on those systems is not the best and it comes with other issues as shown in this video.
If you want a slightly bigger device with HDMI out, RTC and better screen and build quality get this one. If you want WiFi, a more robust OS (Onios is easier to install and has more functions than Garlic), more battery life and better feeling D-Pad, get the Miyoo.
when playing bloody roar 2 like that 9:58 it almost looks like bullet proof scenes from an action-movie^^
great vid, looks like there is a Koriki port for the Miyoo Mini as well
I have an Odin Lite but I'm thinking of picking up either this or the Miyoo Mini Plus just to have a smaller handheld for 16/32bit and lower.
Dumb question for you: When you start up a game, does it actually play the startup sound for that particular console/handheld?
Hi Russ, which version of Min Ui were you using in this video? The latest one has hdmi support removed unfortunately.
I'm excited to see the new RG35XX Plus' capabilities with N64 and PSP when CFW's catchup
What a beast! $50 handheld with somewhat decently for playing psp rpg games
I got the Ambernic RG35xx at the end of last month and it only lasted me about a week before it got stuck at the boot up screen and I haven’t been able to figure out how to get a new Micro SD card for it
hey mate. interesting video! I was wondering if there's a way to play Amiga 500 Roms with the original OS? can you help? thanks 👍🏻
they used the rg350 case for the new rg35xx H even the dual stereo speakers
Would have liked to see how Nintendo DS emulation works under Koriki. I saw some videos on Reddit and TH-cam, and was surprised it wasn't included in your video.
On buying one of these is it best to transfer the contents of the sd cards to another 2 other sd cards and use those instead
I'm holding out for the plus. Cause it will have better triggers. And hopefully metal shell option. But this is certainly a great console for those who don't already own similar.
+?
@@rettenthetetlen8759 Anbernic has a habit of re-releasing their more popular handhelds with a metal shell option, like the RG351MP did. Not sure if that'll happen with the RG35XX, though, considering that metal shells are relatively expensive and arguably the biggest draw of the device is its price.
@@rettenthetetlen8759 Anbernic is making a 35xx Plus model that will have improved triggers, better performance, bigger battery, and possibly a metal shell option.
Koriki being able to play Patapon games without a hiccup is a true big sell for me!
How are you going to describe the handles on the PS Handheld just announced?
Aloha Russ! Just wanted to check: What BIOS are you using for the N64 games? I want to run it as smooth as you. Mahalo!
I saw your video about the Miyoo Mini Plus having wifi multi-player, can this do the same? Both look similar but Anbernic appears to have the better build.
Nice video, thanks.
MiniUI doesn't run CPS1 and CPS2 arcade games?
i use koriki for months.. its really nice
How did you get Mario games on the garlicOS. As I can't find them on mine
What’s the best screen tv size and resolution? 22”? 720p? I love koriki!
Just bought a RG35 and made a clean installation of the GarlicOS. Everything goin' ok, but I'm having problems with the GBA emulation. The mGBA core is running well, but with the gbSP core it's 100%. How can I switch the default core to play GBA games without going Retroarch > Load Core > Load Content way?
How much diffrence will the RG35XX Plus work with this is it enough of a boost to play the more powerful games?
Can you use these OS (garlic or kodeki) on a more powerful 505 anbernic ?
Does the Amazon and other sources have the same Garlic OS?
Which one should I get if I'm looking to play N64 and Dreamcast games?
Does garlic os work on the 35xx plus?
I really appreciate this TH-cam channel/community really great people and helpful as well. Skol everyone.
Hey Russ! So happy to see more RG35XX content! Any chance you would want to share any of your favorite Pico 8 games you play on RG35XX? I’m pretty intimidated by the amount of games and after Celeste I don’t know where to start.
