Love it! I've been a big fan of the CX-5 since my first in 2013 (have 3 in the family now). But this transition to a monthly service charge for remote starting is absolute BS!!! Mazda is not alone in doing this, but it is a deal-breaker for me. Any chance you recorded the installation?

I would do a Google search for : Compustar remote start near me or Viper remote start near me. I'm sure a local professional can help you.
This car is very sensitive to electrical modification (most Mazda vehicles are) so I highly recommend a professional do the job.

Thanks for sharing. How far of a distance can you start your vehicle? Also I saw on a website that Mazda is d/c the mobile app after sept 2021, will this impact the capabilities of the remote starter?

As far as you can lock the doors. The range isn't changed. The system relies on the lock command in the sequence for starting
To my knowledge the app based system should remain unaffected

Can this be done for a 2020 CX-5 Signature?
2 Does it require a new key fob, or does the Mazda one work? ( FYI: Mazda now does remote via app and monthly pay, so maybe they prevent full aftermarket)
3. Can you disable the horn sound upon trying remote start? (Horns a very annoying, I like how Toyota has a softer sound)
