    Thnx for the review, can you duplicate the screen to the 2nd seat row displays??

      It doesn’t have an HDMI out port so that will not be possible.

    Again, laggy 🙄 why they can’t fix it? still waiting for the one with smooth experience.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      If wifi6 worked that might have helped but sadly I didn’t see it on this one. There will always be some lag as it’s just how Wi-Fi works. Some handle better than others. At least with the basic adapters you can configure them to be a little faster in their response rate.

      @bztltf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hope they figure it out. Even their own android menu laggy, I think there are problems about hardware/software/connection optimizations overall. Maybe their chipset’s not powerfull enough.

      Hey I tried few all of them were laggy. Irrespective of price what's the best product you found so far on Amazon usa or aliexpress?

    Are u planning on doing a video on the carlinkit AI box Max?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Max is likely going to be just like this one but with a SD665 instead of SD662 (662 is newer more efficient but slightly less powered but not much to notice a difference) and a slightly better UI menu but still quite dated, when looking at some videos of it. I don’t think if they will ship me one as it’s more of a spec bump on the TBox plus

    Running into issues with my OBDLINK CX connecting to it; were you able to get an OBD adapter to connect? Really looking to this device to supercharge my ABRP experience....but if it can't talk to an OBD adapter over BLE then not sure the value is there for me.

      I couldn’t connect to my ODB11. It saw it but couldn’t connect.

    I need a new usb c/usb c cable. Which broke. No substitute works. Please help.

      @CarPlayLife  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe try OTG type of usb cable. Make sure it’s data as well as power. Many out there are just power only.

    What is the Bluetooth like for calls in the android system? Any delay?
    My existing applepie mini has terrible lag and I’m looking to upgrade.

    • @TheVisitorX
      @TheVisitorX ปีที่แล้ว

      They ALL have and will ever have a delay. Forget BT and use the internal sim to lower the delay, but even then there will be a delay.

    Great video. Would you recommend an android auto wireless adapter or an ai box? I simply don't want to keep plugging in my phone and ruin my charging port. I don't care too much about the bells and whistles, I want something inexpensive that connects quickly and doesn't lag much.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you just want wireless functionality I would just go with a 2in1 adapter. AI Boxes over complicate the whole process and can sometimes be less reliable connecting each time you get in the car.

  • @moomraan
    @moomraan ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey man, how you test these adapters with the an after market carplay when in their website they say it's for cars with wired carplay only?

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don’t want the risk of saying it works for all aftermarket systems and it not working on some (just like vehicles) so they just don’t mention it. Most do work with them, as long as the aftermarket system has wired CarPlay enabled.

      @@CarPlayLife Thanks man! ..can you mention what's the best wireless carplay adapter for an aftermarket android head unit?

    • @CarPlayLife

      I haven’t reviewed enough to really recommend any. Maybe the Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter for Android Headunit Systems | CarlinKit CPC200-CCPA Dongle

    So as I understand it Disney plus, Hulu and HBO max will not download on any of these devices because of the outdated Android operating system.
    Can anyone confirm this? I would hate to buy one of these devices only to find out i can only watch Netflix.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      All the apps you mention require Android 5 and above. So it isn’t to do with the Android version, it’s more to do with the devices are rooted and the software is flagged on the app stores to not download onto rooted devices. A way around this is to download the APK files from and APK mirror site and side load them on to the device instead. That works just fine.

    Thanks for the video. Are there any 5G sim capable car play devices? ?? Or can you take an android 5g phone and make it work as a carplay device by loading zlink5??.

    • @CarPlayLife
      @CarPlayLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think it’s as clear cut as that as I think it needs some hardware for it to work with your iPhone which an android device on its own would not have. I tried an android tablet once but that still needed a hardware dongle to make it work. So it might, the issue will be Zlink and how it works with the adapter, which in my experience these don’t like android OS headunits.

      I hope to do a video on this. Few adapters support it and in my experience they all don’t do it that great.

      If you want a fancy UI interface try the Picasou 2 or 2 Pro. Otherwise this one is also pretty good but has a poorer looking interface.
