I used to be a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) teacher. On the last class of term I used to use obscure English sayings and ask my class what they thought they meant. One was "On her wedding day the bride got cold feet" another was "The driver ran over the sleeping policemen at speed". The results they gave were amazing. Great sketch. Love it. MORE PLEASE.

I love the way you’re getting more confident to do these longer running silent visual jokes like the cleaning of the glasses in the priests on a date sketch and this extended glass cleaning bit. It really made me laugh with how ridiculous it got! All the wordplay jokes are, as always, excellent.

In the first six months of 2022 and 2023, the number of views on Thursday sketches was bizarrely similar. Both years had 2 sketches above 300K views. They also had 14 sketches between 200K and 300K, 9 sketches between 100K and 200K and 1 video with less than 100K views.

With their improved camerawork I really hoped there would have been a "do you want a double?" and then a second Arms enters the bar.
Steven collecting glasses... The joke gets even funnier when you know what Hog CAN BE up to in live shows. 😊 Love this one, such silly visuals and the wordplay keeps growing with every rewatch! And Foil makes a very handsome and trustworthy barman.

I think this is my favorite word play! A lot of the jokes seem more connected to each other and the overall theme than some such sketches in the past. Also love the visual of Foil rubbing funnier and funnier things :D! Great job!

It's the detail that gets me. Little things like changing the item being polished. Not part of wordplay, but brilliant side gag. That's what makes you the best.

After sending "Steve" to collect glasses, I was 100% expecting an arm to reach in and take the pair off Hog's face while ordering his G+T 😅 Great sketch!

Lmao I love how far you took the glass cleaning bit. It started as just that common thing bartenders do in movies and I found that enjoyable by itself but then the changing glasses leading all the way to Hog was incredible 😂

Wiping the Hog's head is an incredibly obscure pun and I applaud you for it! Chapeau, gentlemen! Cha. Peau. Who came up with that one because you deserve a raise!
Can't work out the puns in the trumpet and gun though. Is there a trumpet glass? Is the gun merely a shot glass or am I missing something deeper because I don't know gun types.
Maybe those two are just for the visual gag as things you'd polish. Hmm.

Really quickly! I think when there's no eye contact, it's usually fine - it's mostly innocuous lines that make us laugh weirdly enough

Missing the faster pace these wordplay sketches usually play at, but loved Foil holding the fruit, and then cleaning the glasses ....and Hog 😂
Maybe they thought they'd give us a chance to catch up through the laughter this time. I mean it didn't work for me, but maybe that was the plan.

A worthy addition to the Wordplay Town! Not as pun-packed as some of them, to be sure (how did you have a gun in a bar sketch and not make a joke about "shots")? The visual quality of this one is top-notch, though: sets, lighting, how sharp you all look 😏. There's even continuity with the other Wordplay sketches because once again Arms' character is complaining about his relationship woes 😢. Of course the silliest bit was the absurd escalation of the glass-wiping scene, ending with - a Hog wash? I particularly liked the "have you been served?" joke and the whiskey order jokes, as well.
The outro is really fun too! Foil's "shock" at hearing how soon your Canadian gigs are coming up was so unexpected and cute it made me laugh again, as did the final raiding of the bar-room shelves!
Squeeeeeeaaaaaal! Wordplay, my favourite! Also I've got Lou Bega's Mambo No 5 stuck in my head now... Great sketch, and looking so fine, everyone!
