I work as a technical writer writing How to documents for software. One job I had actually involved How to Collect Advertising Data on TH-cam to Resell to Content companies, so this hits close to home. 😂
How to Stop Worrying actually meant a lot to me. I had gotten laid off and was struggling through interviews but I had just discovered your channel, so that sketch really lifted my spirits at the time. But dang, now I wish I had known to call the number. 😂
I just LOVE those compilations with added commentaries which give us more insight into your process! It appears that most of your "How To" sketches were a while ago. Perhaps we need some more recent ones!
I was an invigilator for 5 years after retiring from teaching, your sketch was ace! Only one point, we often don't announce the remaining time, it's thought by some people that it will distract the candidates from their train of thought. The finish time is on a whiteboard at the front, and if they can't read a clock, they deserve to be surprised at the end. I always mentioned 5 minutes, though, these were pupils that I had taught in previous years and I still cared about them.
three things that I found absolutely hilarious in this compilation: 1. The casting decisions of the how to play a villain sketch. 2. The overacting at the end by the invigilator trainee. 3. The exorcism. That's it. That's the comment.
I used to not know how to deal with life, but now, thanks to Foil Arms and Hog, I know perfectly well how to deal with any situation👍 Thanks Foil Arms and Hog!!👍👍👍😃 I love you guys, you are just brilliant!!💗💗💗
FAH confession: the first videos I ever saw of you guys were the ones about Brexit and the UK so I truly thought it was an educational channel. Then about a year ago I found all of your other videos and just fell in love with them ❤️ Now I’m one of your patrons and completely addicted! Keep up the amazing work guys! 🤓
😂😂😂 yes!! I forgot the brexit song! That one and the Covid song went viral I think. Thats how I found them. And really they are quite clever and educational!!
@@Emma_W_ and the fact they're doing group x rays and making sick people sleep in bunk beds. None of it is practical or safe and I just love it so much 🤣
This was a great idea for a compilation; it was lots of fun to see all these sketches again! The commentary in between was delightful, too (although unexpectedly missing for the last two sketches - what happened there?). I thought the intro was especially cute - you can't fool us, and certainly not each other! 😄
How to Destroy a Family is great! One of the most relatable :D. Also love How to Be Late for Work, How Not to Tell a Story, and How to Invigilate an Exam! Great compilation!
I had not seen the Monopoly sketch before, so I was delighted to see a living incarnation of mannequin lady, one of Conor's finest ever moments. It's to do with the amazing pitch change he achieves. That automatic transition to pre-menstrual tension desperation. The moment when a deeply devoted and loving mother becomes psychotic!
my absolute favorite sketches in a compilation. Thank god all the titles start with a 'how to/not to''.. Multiple rewatches incoming, lads! And the "lads, lads" chant produced the biggest smile on my face, cuz Gerald and Stephen are my absolute favourites. 😍 Thank you, lads.. - A not so young humanoid
Seeing you three staring as "yourself" just after learning you guys have real people names and the belated realisation that are real individuals who are friends, is kinda surreal. Thanks to the recently uploaded Grammar short.
Showing your video, lads, for the first time to my Grandpa. Him: 'How can I know who's who ?' Me: 'Easy Grandpa, they always sit in the right order, you have Foil, Arms...and...Ops, no, for once, they didn't. Never mind, just remember: they are the best ! 😅'
2:43 YES exactly!! “IF i upset you“ is a copout that implies that they should not be upset. By the time you get the feeling you should apologize, you can either just straight up apologize “sorry THAT i did that thing and THAT i upset you.“ or, if you are legitimately not sure *if* you upset them, then don't say sorry straight away. Ask them how they felt about the thing you did, and if they say it upset them, THEN apologize, for real. “if“ is a copout. You can do better. :) Apologies are about your intention that the other person feels good with your interactions, and owning up when you have failed to meet that intention.
I love all of these!! I hadn't realised how much I enjoy these type of sketches. I'd watched a lot of them recently - a good sign! (not just a sign I watch quite a lot of sketches, quite a lot of times, quite often...). 😬
Really awesome compilation, it was really fun to watch them all again. ❤ The monopoly sketch is really funny, maybe you can do a family centered sketch again?
Need to watch this later in peace. Looks like the campaign is working with recent steady climb in subscriber numbers. I hope it ultimately pays off and the guys get to 1m by the end of the year as they hope
Good luck with your Canadian tour this week, lads! (Nova Scotia just got flooded with a record amount of rain, so the folks in Halifax will need some cheering up for sure!)
I still think Foil and Gerald are the ultimate couple. They rival Mrs. Flanagan and Oisin, who as we all know, are the power due of any situation. Lads sketches are still hilarious after watching them on repeat for god knows how many times.
I wish you best of luck for the show in Montreal. I saw you in Dublin last year. Was waiting to see you in Montreal but I can't be there! I am in another part of Quebec that evening giving a presentation on ... Ireland!
19:48 YES! During a uni Calc final, the TAs would be walking around constantly then retreat to the centre lecture desk at the front stage of the room, whispering conversations to one another while watching. The usual was going on, the normal coughing, a few phones going off eventhough they should have been on silence. . . that sort of thing, BUT one of the professors had left on the microphone for lectures, and we all were subject to a whisper conversation. Unfortunately, you couldn't really hear what the TAs were talking about, but everyone started to subtly giggle over the five minutes that followed. It was probably just the stress of the exam getting to us all, but the entire energy in the room changed and lightened up quite a bit. It's been two years, but I still remember that exam for that reason.
23:42 as a loud snorer this was legit a major worry of mine in my week long stint in ‘hotel hell’. I couldn’t sleep thanks to raging anxiety about a lot of things but snoring was one. In years gone by, I’d gone on a cruise with a friend. There were death threats, physical violence, things being thrown at my head. The friend ghosted me for three months afterwards and when I was no longer ghosted, I called the friendship dead. By the end of the week I was in tears because everyone on the ward snored and no one seemed to care or bother worrying about keeping people awake or being loud. I think I might have also experienced some PTSD during that week.
I wish you shared the video YOU must have watched on how to make amazing sketch comedy, because there has to be a method! You always hit home runs! Even in your compilations! Thanks! This was great!
We were in a sales meeting and a coworker came in late. The boss says "You're late" and the coworker says (with nose in air) "I take my time from the atomic clock in Boulder Colorado". The boss was so amused and taken aback that he let it go!
My physical appearance has changed a bit in the last 3 years, but it's not always immediately obvious in photos. But then I took a photo with them in 2019 and then in 2022. They looked basically the same. I feel like photos next to them have become a hilarious time capsule for me of how I look. Fingers crossed I'll see them in 2024 and I'll take another photo. 😆
Thing is would a Irish man settle down with an English Woman!! Have one thing in my favour I do support Celtic FC/Rugby, and hate Soaps especially EastEnders
We are just back from Halifax NS after seeing the lads live at the Bella Rose Arts Centre (It was a high school), The event coordinator goofed... tickets said show was 7pm to 10 but in fact it was doors opened at 7 and show start was 8pm. We all queued up an hour and a bit before the show actually started. Both of these points were used in the show! Oh, I forgot to mention, it was a 4hr:15min drive from NB to see the show in the first place! Regardless .... I would do it again if they returned next year. LOL from start to finish! Thanks for coming to the Maritimes guys!
😂Love the new comments with the collection👍. I know there's not 'How to' in the title, but it feels 'Life Hacks' and 'Childcare Hacks' belongs with these 😄
Once this man gave me his glass eye to examine whilst I was tipsy at a tiki bar. So of course it slipped from my hand while I was looking at it and it went rolling down the deck and I went chasing after it. I caught it, brought it back to him and was profusely apologetic. He drops it in his drink and pops it back in the socket and says "no big deal"...

"Here at Foil Arms and Hog, we are more about education than jokes." A fantastic joke if I ever heard one. 😆 Love you guys
I mean, they're responsible for teaching me 99.7% of what I know about Irish culture, so education isn't too far off either.
@@TotoDG Me too. 😂
It would be cool if they did some more irish specific sketches, like the one with the police or kerryman.

Gerald ❤ But "When I was a humanoid of no specific age" is one of the best lines ever written 😂
Haha thanks 😊
I’ve gone back to rewatch that specific part for that specific line multiple times.
The how to be a bad guy - still get chills from it, so good! And the how to apologise, be late, and stop worrying are such gold 😂

I’ve always felt that FAH shares a similar style to Mitchell and Webb, which has quite a few history-themed sketches, and Horrible Histories. 😊
Pretty soon you’ll find your way to see them in person. Peak FAH experience!
