This episode was pretty sad and dark. Ginrai had developed PTSD from his previous encounter with Overlord, in which he almost died. Ginrai always knew the risk that came with fighting the Decepticons and had almost paid the full price of it. He tried not to think about it, so that the fear would not consume him. Yet when everyone realized that Ginrai was the only one who would be able to go and fight both Black Zarak and Overlord in space, he tried so hard to make sure to his comrads and Junior Headmasters that it’s ok and he can do it. But Minerva saw him at his weakest, alone and hurt. God Bomber’s production had to be sped up so that Ginrai would able to go to space, and they got it done just in time before Black Zarak arrived on the moon.

It might seem out of place, but I do wish we got more references to the Japanese G1 continuity, where Takara was doing its own thing after G1 Season 2, before they and Hasbro started ACTUALLY working together for Beast Wars.
