Speak to an accountant in the UK, but I would imagine given you are importing the car for business purposes (making videos + repair & resale at a later date) you may be able to write off the VAT which would be a good chunk of the tax gone. Hope you can find some way to make it work, I'd love to see this car finally get sorted rather than continuing to rot on Samcrac's farm :)

I bought an etype convertible basket case once and Massachusetts wanted to charge sales tax higher than I even paid for the car. DDE has two 599's they are very cool cars but are definitely not ment to be driven hard , they are great cruising around nice chill Sunday drivers , but unleashing that V12 can cost ya . Besides Scott you got much better things that need finishing.
