Can I just say that it's been obvious that the last few months of videos, Linus seems to actually be enjoying doing the things in his videos again, and it's fantastic to see. It feels like they're fun, and a breath of fresh air for him, and his joy of doing them comes through and makes the videos more fun to watch.
Drilling in reverse is something we do for electrical installations to avoid cracking plastic or vinyl especially in the cold! Great oops discovery by Linus.

Yes hated this, so much work gluing the washers, getting the ABC blocks and putting the magnets in them vs some cradle holders. They also sell black wall panels for super cheap to use with the cradle holders. Cradles on the wall not looking as clean as magnets>awkward washer or 3d printed backing on the controllers lol

I dig it. Love the abc block idea. 100% cheap af to get matching blocks. Word for other ppl doing this. Don't buy the ones covered in stickers if you're gonna paint then. Stickers will rot under paint and sanding them sets you back to the level of making your own blocks.

11:26 That is EXACTLY what I imagined it was going to do the moment I saw the first controller. The sliding door obviously won't be moved on the regular, but those magnet connections looked sketchy af. Not to mention the hotglue job on the ABC cubes. These controllers are hanging on by a thread.
I did a similar floating pc thing and I have a really good alternative for you if you ever wanna make it even more seamless. Make an aluminium mount that has vesa holes for the side of the pc facing the wall, then use a simple (and sturdy) slim wall mount for tv on the wall. It would completely remove the visible metal part and looks like it truly floats. It can even be removed and installed quite easily after that.
The floating pc should be hanging rather than supported from below. Use the same wall bracket (mounted one pc height higher), turn the pc upside down, and mount from above rather than below. You can even bend some flat bars with a gentle curve attached at the ends to the pc and at the lowest point in the curve to the wall mount. That way the bar will operate as a spring to keep the thing from sagging, like if the bars were flat. Also, probably too late, but you could have fed the wire for the enterprise through the center of a hollow aluminum rod.
Hate to be that guy but that's the wrong Enterprise.... that is the Enterprise C not the D which was the one that squared off against the Borg. Looks franken cool though love to see the Borg Cube computer actually tied into a Star Trek setup.

The cube PC looks great and so did the white one, but that drop-down tv wall mount was the moment that made the most for me. Been looking at hanging a 100” TV above the fireplace and that wall mount will make it possible.

but with the magnet and washer (?) approach you can just rearrange at will, as every holder works with every controller.
