Destroyed a convoy off of Bergen last night and man was that a great feeling! 3 flower class, 6 empires, a county class cruiser, and a War class tanker. Over 55,000 GRT in 2 days sunk. Great video!
Had a similar day yesterday in the Western Med. 2 Dido class cruisers, one Flower class. 2 tankers and 3 Empire class. Got lucky the convoy basically scattered at the death of the first Dido and let me chase them down and deal with the Empires using the deck gun.
I don't remember the exact number of merchant ships I think it was around 6 but I got a little over 37,000 merchant tons in my last major patrol this was a free patrol mind you and I also accidentally made the mistake of running smack-dab into a convoy on the surface after I got all of their escorts to go away that was until I nearly ran straight into an aircraft carrier somehow I managed to sink it with my deck gun
Must have been a similar reaction to when Piper Bill Millin of the Lovat Scouts marched up Sword Beach on D-Day armed with nothing but a set of bagpipes. The German machine gunners thought he was crazy and spared his life!
The Type IIA does not have a UZO, which is why it wouldn't plug in to the TDC. The Type IID does have one though, and you get the blueprints as a reward from some of the operations.
There shouldn't really be Flower class in the game this early in the war, the first of them wouldn't even launch until early 1940. October 1939 is not even 3 months after the first build orders were placed!
I was scratching my head when I saw U-100 in October 1939, only eight months early when she was supposed to be. But those are the historical discrepancies you have to overlook
True - but the British did have 8 Grimsby and 7 Kingfisher class sloops in 1939 - which were almost identical in size, speed and armament to the Flower class corvettes.

You know you can drag the officer icons and arrange them the way you want. I put Captain first, 1st Officer, Chief Engineer, Torpedo Mechanic and finally radio man... In this order
If you’re attacking more than one target it’s better to fire at the farthest one first. If you can time your shots so the targets are hit close to the same time it will give the enemy less warning before zigzagging.
The Type II upgrades never really make it any faster, the type IID does have more than 3X the range though, which is nice. You could potentially hang out west of liverpool and intercept a lot of atlantic traffic with it, which a Type IIA could never hope to do.
The absolute madness of a Uboat using its AA to randomly spray rounds at an entire convoy while being shot at all while that poor bastard Keller keeps getting his face smashed in with the hatch after taking a corvette round
