Its 2022 now and I still can't get over this movie. The moments, the music, the dialogues... everything is amazing to me and I'm not even a hardcore DC fan. This series needed to be continued.
im not sure how it can get better overtime.... its supposed to be batman vs superman movie but then very soon after they start fighting they stop? the title is misleading... it should just be Dawn of Justice or something like that. The entire movie is hyping up the fight between the 2 heroes and then it ends way too quickly and nothing happens between them after that. I never claimed its a bad movie but they failed on so many fronts... the trailer spoiled literally everything. (if they had kept doomsday out of trailer shots then it wouldve been an amazing surprise...) They shouldnt have shown us batman and supes fighting together in the trailers either... so that them teaming up wouldve had a bigger impact, especially for non-comic readers like me. Only great movies are hyped by making a trailer out of only the first act of the film... before the plottwists begin. Whether you like it or not Endgame had much better marketing... none of the trailers spoiled the other heroes coming back or getting killed... it didnt show Thanos being killed either despite him dying like 15 mins into the movie. Its not about comparing the movies, its about comparing the hype... bad marketing can destroy a good product. And BvS destroyed itself with bad spoilery trailers and misleading title, i was legit going into the movie thinking its a fight between the two heroes... or hoping it would be, after being spoiled by the trailer showing Doomsday. They should have focused on the conflict between them for the trailers and it would have been a much better experience... so sad they failed. And everyone watches trailers, not watching them is out of the question... infact you even see trailers on TV and pre-rolls before other movies. So they must be made right. Man of Steel was awesome tho. A new darker take on supes.

It was the flashbacks he had through the name, they way he knew he was going to kill someone’s son (Lois told Batman Martha is supes’ mother’s name), the way he was going to kill someone’s son in front of someone that loves him(Lois lane), the way Lois interrupted(he obviously wanted to fight and kill supes personally and all of a sudden some girl interferes. If he still kill supes he will have a witness that says Batman is evil, nah scratch that, a FUCKING REPORTER. plus he deffo guessed lois was someone Superman loves when Lois tried to bravely prevent Batman from killing supes and when she told him Martha is supes’ mother’s name he would question himself how she knew and it would all come together fast to him considering how smart Batman is)
Zack Snyder’s vision for what he was trying to create was really on point. The tone, the visuals, the brutality, he wanted to deliver something more serious and more real. I still hope we get a trilogy with cavil and I would be much interested to see a solo Batman film with Ben affleck

The movie wasn't bad but it could have been better... the casting of lex lowered the quality of the movie. Lex was suppose to be a cold calculating genius. Not some nerdy young hipster smarty pants. Heroes are as good as their villains.
I liked his performance, in the way the universe is going and all comic movies in general, having a plan 1 dimensional villain isn't a good idea. Lex Luthor has always been a boring villain to me, Jesse gave Lex an entire new look (Similar to how Heath Ledger changed the Joker)

He just can't see that Superman is a good guy and it's not just because of the destruction of Metropolis or the fact that Superman is so powerful and Bruce is scared that if left unchecked, he will destroy the world - it's because Bruce himself needs a mission of sort to vent his rage. Jason Todd/Robin was murdered - he himself saw his tower collapse and an innocent girl cling to him as he looked to the skies and saw not a hero, but a threat to humanity itself. That is AWESOME.

Brendan Bernard I'm hoping it's just an issue of the context of the lines, or possibly just the early development of the character that we may see become a much more menacing Lex later on. But then again, it may also be refreshing to see a new take as opposed to what Hackman and Spacey did with the character previously. I just think it's too early to judge.
I think Eisenberg is too young to play Lex Luthor. He just doesn't have that look or feel to him. As for the other casting, Ben Affleck as Batman didn't really appeal to me, mainly because I'm used to Christian Bale, but I think he'll do fine. I'm just hoping that he won't be as awkward as George Clooney was as Batman.

This shows how not only is Alfred a voice of REASON to Bruce as he knows that Superman is a force for good, not evil, but also how utterly consumed with grief and rage Bruce is. He just can't see that Superman is a good guy and it's not just because of the destruction of Metropolis or the fact that Superman is so powerful and Bruce is scared that if left unchecked, he will destroy the world - it's because Bruce himself needs a mission of sort to vent his rage. Jason Todd/Robin was murdered - he himself saw his tower collapse and an innocent girl cling to him as he looked to the skies and saw not a hero, but a threat to humanity itself.
That is AWESOME.

Brendan Bernard I'm hoping it's just an issue of the context of the lines, or possibly just the early development of the character that we may see become a much more menacing Lex later on. But then again, it may also be refreshing to see a new take as opposed to what Hackman and Spacey did with the character previously. I just think it's too early to judge.
I think Eisenberg is too young to play Lex Luthor. He just doesn't have that look or feel to him. As for the other casting, Ben Affleck as Batman didn't really appeal to me, mainly because I'm used to Christian Bale, but I think he'll do fine. I'm just hoping that he won't be as awkward as George Clooney was as Batman.
I think even keven spacey would make a better lex than Jessie but lets see how he does maybe he will be good

The plot was too wack, too many movies crammed into one, Doomsday was too wack...but I read too many comic books so...yeah, I guess that's my problem. Taking it at face value, it was decent movie and I get why majority of people (who aren't really into comics) would really like it, but it should have been truer to the comics imo , that's why I didn't like it...

Philip Drake I'm still reeling over the fact that they pushed it a whole year. All because of Marvel's releases... DC could have easily pushed it a few months, but not a whole year.
They're terrified of Marvel though. This feels like they've thrown everything but the kitchen sink into it.

Nicholas Dickens I felt the same way, wondering why they are cramming so many characters into this film but then I remember when Marvel rushed out Thor and Captain America to get Avengers out and I think they could've been better films if they'd waited. I think DC is trying to introduce a lot of characters in one film to then branch them off in their own pictures hoping people will want to see where those characters go.

If Marvel gets too comfortable with their success and doesn't see DC as a threat, that could bite them in the ass down the line. I'm kinda hoping BvS will be the movie to do just that, if only to level the playing field. I love both companies, don't get me wrong. I wanna see them both come out with blockbuster hits.
