    2:00 my Charger arrived from auction with fire extinguisher "exploded" inside it... that stuff was even behind the B-pillars

      I had a 2006 CV with a FSS (fire suppression system) where some idiot pressed the button at the auction and that s$it went everywhere.

    You need to lower the hood halfway or so and bend the blade away from the windshield at the hinge before the clip will move. it's "locked" when the blade is leaning against the windshield. I've replaced my fair share of transmissions and wiper motors in these cars. It is really annoying, I agree.

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I will try that. Some of them come off easy, some just fight you to death.

    Take off those wheel covers and clean the steelies underneath. They get filthy with the wheel covers over them. Once that's done, you can put the wheel covers back on.

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will buy new steelies, the ones on there are tiered. It's cheaper to buy new ones than have them redone.

    7:06 the "trick" is to turn the wipers on, when they are up on the glass turn the key off

      they are a PITA. I guess Ford feared folks would steal them if you could unlock them when "down"

    These cars are becoming so hard to find. More people who restore them and don't just slap lights in them and mess with people are good.

    Nice video! I bought my 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from the auction yesterday. I brought it home, I open up the hood and see a sticker on the top of the inside hood that says “Ford Motor Company, Vehicle Emissions Control Information”. It says the year is 2010. But the car is actually 2007. I even checked the vin number etc. Do you have any ideas why it could be that? I even checked the side of the door, there isn’t no sticker on the door.

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You most likely have a replacement hood and door.

      Goodfellas Garage I thought the same. Then I see a new intake, heat condenser, radiator. These parts look like it comes from autozone. I thought to myself this car may have been in a big accident. It still looks like a cop car with a push bumper, sirens wired up, extra battery wiring in the trunk with black and white color on the exterior of the car.

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, most likely in an accident and fixed with whatever parts were available. Doesn't mean it's a bad car.

    • @Sunnythug95
      @Sunnythug95 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Goodfellas Garage I love the car. It runs like a horse. Very good shifting to. It has about 9800 idle hours with 80,000 miles. I love the way it looks, the sticker had me confused. I’m going to go underneath the car to see if I can notice if the crown Victoria was in a accident or not.

    How did open the screws of the trunk carpet ? I could not do it ,, should i use screwdriver or just i have to pull the screw by my hand ?

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not screws, they are plastic clips. You need a plastic pry/clip tool.

    3:57 i had to drill two holes at the deep end of trunk (careful at items under trunk) to drain all the rain water....

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if you have rain water coming in, then you have a leak somewhere.

    • @SilverBullet93GT
      @SilverBullet93GT 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LimitedEditionMotorcars yes, definitely, but hard to find, could be the trunk seal, window seal, metal seam. also lots of condensation i see usually and it just drips down and pools, so for now, no trunk liner, im testing it

      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SilverBullet93GT Get inside the trunk with a flash light, close the lid and have someone hose the trunk and rear window area. If you have an 05 model year, they usually leak by the antenna seal.

    Nice job on the trunk Al. What are your plans for this car. Keep, flip ? And why did you change up your GFG logo

    • @LimitedEditionMotorcars
      @LimitedEditionMotorcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The Crown Vic is mine, not a flip. I changed the logo because haters started complaining that I stole the logo from another channel called DDE. I had no idea who they were. Legally, they have no claim as you can't copyright colors but I just didn't want to deal with all the hate.

    Do you have any tricks to get water spots on the windows?

    • @Anon1mous
      @Anon1mous 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've used the below with great success for removing water spots on glass and paint. On glass, you want to be very careful as it will scratch it if you leave it on too long.
