If someone asks me how happy exactly I wanna be, I will show him my man on the maraca's
Should check out the drummer from Covet, man is on a natural high at all times. Never seen him break a smile while playing.
Aladdin Pallante
That man was loving life!
The guy playing the maracas was the 1 and only Salvador Dali 🏁
Do you know who that man is? He's Salvador Dali, one of the greatest artists of all time.
Love how they all have expressions: "guys we did it. This is going to be legendary"
Ayy finally, another person with the name Tomàs
*I'm seeing double-*
They were on national television...The Lawrence Welk Show was "must see" programming back in the day for millions of households.
Yeah, sometimes you just know " you kick ass " and your face can't be modest about it.
So much joy😂😂😂. It has to have been a joyous epoch. Its great slice of film.

The percussionist is tapping out a complex rhythm with his fingertips, and he keeps it going without a break or a flaw.
He might have been a telegraph operator as a young man.

He loves what he does
I confirm that when I'm "emm depressed"
i listen to "ghost riders in the sky" just to see that happy man
Yeah he really digs his job.
after watching this for dozens of times i still can't decide what's better. the actuall music. or my man going ham on the maracas.
Edit: thanks for all the likes you kind people you 😲
See other version(above) with girls and your man on the maracas.
both🤣 but he makes it much better
There’s something much more better in all of this. And this is your comment man😂😂😂
If youre going to do anything in life, do it with the enthusiasm my man plays the maracas with
Man with maracas is the real mvp.not the guitarist one 🤣

Neil was one of the guitarists that motivated me to learn to play guitar.
You still remember this song? If not i remember you, listen to it.
The Myth The Legend Mr Eric!!!!
My understanding is that both Neil and Lawrence Welk's "other" guitarist, Buddy Merrill were very highly regarded musicians.
And as the narrative with this video says, Neil worked with Frank Zappa, more specifically on the Mothers of Invention's first album, "Freak Out," which is, let's just say, pretty far from the music Welk does. Neil later said that Zappa told him how amazed he was that a guy who played with Welk could rock out the way Neil could.

I guess they were doing it for TV on the original track

To jest najlepsza wersja tego utworu. Ta gitara jest znakomita. Gitarzysta wydobył wszystkie szczegóły z tego instrumentu. Brawo Neil.
I wish there was a full one hour loop of just this instrumental. It's so perfect.
Just right click on the screen and select Loop
a check mark will then appear on the left side beside it.
@scottw550 but people are stupid and would rather watch a 10 hour version with subway surfer on the bottom screen
Neil levang forever and ever since Ipiales Nariño Colombia América Latina 😅
@@LifesMikeIt's just easier to have an 10 hour version because often those are edited so you have an instant transition and you don't notice that it's restarting the song.
@@LifesMikeTf are you even bringing subway surfers up for? that has nothing to do with ten hour versions of music. Also people are stupid for not knowing about the loop feature? you need to smoke some weed or some shit dude.
I've heard so many versions of this song and they're all great. But in my opinion, this is the best version ever. Thank you.
Hands down best version the original

I remember watching the Lawrence Welk show with my parents every Saturday night. I'm 67 now but it still resonates with me now.

As a very young child I was fascinated by watching Neil play, and also Buddy Merrill on the show. He was probably the first performer that inspired me to pick up the guitar. Back in 1961, I can't think of anyone else you could watch play electric guitar on TV. Thanks Neil may you RIP.

My mother never missed a show. Being young, I hated it. As a musicologist years later I discovered LW had the world's finest musicians playing with him.
Yeah, my grandma always wanted to watch, and being young, I saw that as old fashioned. Later, with age and wisdom, I found it amazing with the dancing. Really loved the one where the woman's wig came off, lol

Lyrics:
An old cowboy went riding out
One dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested
As he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd
Of red eyed cows he saw
Plowin' through the ragged skies
And up the cloudy draw
Their brands were still on fire
And their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny
And their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him
As they thundered through the sky
For he saw the riders coming hard
And he heard their mournful cry
Yippie-yi-o
Yippie-yi-yay
Ghost riders in the sky
Their faces gaunt
Their eyes were blurred
Their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd
But he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever
On that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on, hear their cry
As the riders loped on by him
He heard one call his name
'If you wanna save your soul
From hell a-riding on our range
Then, cowboy, change your ways today
Or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies
Yippie-yi-o
Yippie-yi-yay
Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky
🫠👍
