    Great result and will be even better when detailed. I've had 2 Jags and from my experience they are super fussy about battery voltage but hopefully the outstanding codes are not too serious.

    Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
    In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
    on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!

    You noted that it may have been tuned. A tuned F-type typically consists of an aftermarket supercharger pulley and a reflashed ECU. If there's only one and not the other (due to changing the engine), that may be the issue. (I'm not the first to note this.) I wonder if some of the naysayers will now decide that Jags are nice...

    • @WatchJRGo
      @WatchJRGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@WatchJRGo I'm sure that you're right, that it's tuned for the smaller SC pulley but the tune on these aj126 are typically for a the crank pulley which is 11.6% larger. This was the case on both my F-Type and F-paces.

    FYI. Whenever you plug into the OBD2 port of the F type you can mess up some of the electronics. It creates an electrical drain in one of the computers that will kill the battery (wouldn't be a Jag without some electrical quirk, right?). The way you get around this is after plugging into the OBD2 port, disconnect the battery for ~30 sec and whatever problem the OBD2 connection created is reset. I disconnect the ground to the car under the truck liner, not the battery itself as the access is easier. I killed a couple of batteries until I learned the battery disconnect trick. Nice series.

    If a vehicle has sat for more than three months with less than a full tank (especially ethanol blends) the fuel is BAD even if it’s good
    The two number one diagnostic goto’s are bad earths and other electrical connections then bad fuel.

    Trees? Meh. My C6 spent approximately 3 years sitting outside, in the sun, in Ohio before I bought it. It got hot enough to spiderweb the rear view mirror. Nearly every body panel has some nice crosshatch mess / cracking where where the SMC panels are bonded. It looks like scratches, but it's not. The only fix of which I'm aware is to sand it down, shoot it with high-build primer, paint, and clear. (Essentially, repaint the entire car.)
