The Mitsubishi GTO is a front-engine, all-wheel/front-wheel drive grand touring/sports car manufactured and marketed by Mitsubishi from 1990-2000 over a single generation. Manufactured in a three-door hatchback coupé body style in Nagoya, Japan, the 2+2 four-seaters were marketed in the Japanese domestic market (JDM) as the GTO; globally as Mitsubishi 3000GT - and in North America as the Mitsubishi 3000GT (1991-1999 ) as well as the Dodge Stealth (1991-1996), a badge engineered, mechanically identical captive import. As a collaborative effort between Chrysler and Mitsubishi Motors, Chrysler was responsible for the Stealth's exterior styling

Proud 97 3000GT sohc 188k miles Owner here. Well done input. Air Filter Mod is a must. Remind people these need blead when ur replacing coolant.. especially if they get hot enuff and blow the reservoir cap .. cause it will suck air into your system and it will appear full .. So bleed it.. til air bubbles stop comin out the cap. check the wheel bearings too.. i replaced mine all round and new brake system installed.. it will feel like a new car... ive had many vehicles over the years.. the 3000 GT is my favorite.

one though I had with a light bar was to hook a relay up to were the fog lights plug in. that would allow you to control them from the inside ( double edge sword) but they will also only come on when you have your brits on as well, allowing you to turn them off then back on with the same motion you use to change from high beams to low.
I kicked around a ton of ideas ! Good idea though. My thought process was K.I.S.S. LOL

Had one. Drove it for 13 yrs. It was anything but slow. Best ride i had to date. Seats did suck. When i bought mine they were rough.

@@KurtWinters Yes I do. A '97 Saab 9000 Turbo 5spd. 116K original miles. Runs great and has a few upgrades.

correct, down pipe is part of the exhaust

DRAG WHEELS, thru discount tire. but it's been like 5 years since I got them
I have white 94 SL and I really don't like the look of the OEM wheels on it.
Can you confirm that I can easily swap on any 16's, 17's, or 18's as long as their bolt pattern remains at 5x114.3? Will the Hub bore be a problem and will I need hub bore rings?
As far as I know the OEM hub bore is 67.1mm but almost all aftermarket wheels I see are 73.1mm

totally worth it, I run a 18k lumen CREE light bar. Make sure you have two modes, so you don't blind people. Stay away from the cheap Chinese ones, with colored lights and remotes. They are junk ! What color is your car ?

the 91-93 base is a 160 HP under power dog.... be aware
@@KurtWinters my 98 is the sohc so its makes about that much aswell, i just like the body style of the 91-93 plus a 4g63t could always fix the low power

I like the color of the seats, but I don't like it for the reasons you listed. as for the fog light ... we should be able to wire it to the factory fog light switch. We should also do something about that exhaust ...

I know you said you had a installer do the light bar but could you possibly explain or show where they mounted it? I’ve always had light bars on all of my cars just didn’t think I could get one on my GT. Definitely going to be swapping my headlights for LEDs soon
the thick black plastic that is directly in front of the radiator. about 5 inches, away from the front of the lower bumper.

Thanks, I need to make more Vids with this car. The Wheels are by a company called DK Drag , 18 inch, It was a tough choice to pick gold, but again this was just a fun build.

At night driving my 3000gt is a nightmare, I have to wear sunshades to see the lines of the road because of all the trucks with light bars.
that why I put a light bar on mine LOL. Low cars are pain in the ass at nite. what year is your GT ?

Fuller's Upholstery FT worth Texas area, $1400.00 GULP...... but the seats were completely trashed.... worst part of the car..... So I went nutz.....

@Clark Kyle Right, but the Turbo's are always broken OR "half working" PLUS any interior leather work is very very expensive, which sucks. But your point is very valid, it was moment, where I just went OVER THE TOP with this silly SL.....

Could be the terminals running to the battery. Do any lights come on when you put the car in accessory mode ? Does the DASH light up ?
All the lights work
Only thing i hear is a click and the fuel pump
