I wish Schuyler would offer the ESV in a red letter edition as they do in the NKJV, which is probably my favorite translation.

I have the WM from Cambridge and love it but the font could be just a little larger. The Topaz might be a better choice for my older eyes. Great review Tim.

I love verse by verse but they are somewhat difficult to find. I was looking at the Schuyler but now I believe I may start looking at this Cambridge. Thank you for your videos. I feel like I've watched them several times because you do such a fantastic job.

I'm really in love with the double-column verse by verse type. I just wish they would print this in the NASB 2020. But ESV is amazing too.
NASB Topaz is coming soon, I believe.

I have ordered this..TOPAZ.. Today. In cherry red ..calf skin. Also the ESV clarenden..black calf skin..in single column with notes on side. I only buy Cambridge in premium bibles .

Curious on your thoughts on the usage of these ESV Bibles as you search for the “perfect” one. For instance, I imagine the Topaz would serve as an excellent preaching Bible or following along a sermon due to its layout and verse by verse format, but a Schuyler would be better for personal reading.
I agree with completely that Nathaniel, which is why I like to have different Bibles for different uses. The next two review (Allan and Crossway) offer some interesting choices as well.

I'm currently doing a read-through in NRSV. We use NIV at both of the ministry contexts I serve in.
Something that I’m not sure I would like is the bold modern looking font for the book names over the more classic fonts typically used. Can anyone speak to this and whether they felt the same way or not and if their opinion changed after receiving it?
I certainly understand that... it does take some getting used too.
Black, or blue: That's the Question (for I really love that blue, but I'm a traditional black-leather Bibles guy).
I totally feel that... the blue really spoke to me on this one.
I had a blue bible once, loved the cover but they tend to be paired with blue art-gilding which tends to be a pale blue, looks dirty with use more than red/salmon or even just plain white does. Love the Topaz (mine is calfskin black, I prefer the robust feel, not floppy goat style)
Do you reckon they’ll ever do an NASB version? Cheers for the video man too!
They told me that expanding to other translations was in the plans. NKJV is set for release in February, followed by KJV later next year. I would think that NASB and NIV will be on the schedule after that.
As of 9.17.21 they have NASB ..95.. I think in TOPAZ

This looks fantastic. I cannot find the Bible in the “perfect format” for me, but this comes close. The pages seem a bit thin? Are they comparable to the Zondervan premiere collection? Positives: goat skin cover, gorgeous blue, gold/blue gilding, Red letter edition, ESV, general layout verse etc. I wish it was a bit larger font print, but 10 point is acceptable.
Slightly thinner paper than the premier collection.

I just got this (er, black calfskin) in the mail today. I've read Isaiah 42 and Hosea 2. This Bible is everything Crossway's two-column verse-by-verse should be, but isn't because it's text goes into the gutter.
Does this Bible contain the standard ESV text or the anglicized text?
I believe they use the standard ESV.

Beautiful Bible, but a 10pt. Font is too small for me.
It reads really big, but there's also a lot of great large print Bibles out there.
@@timwildsmith I’m reading a 10pt Crosswsy right now. I can just do it , in good light. I have a Nelson LP NKJV, and that is better. I think a 12pt. might be perfect. .
