No. You get gems by killing monsters, which is fun. ATKT is not fun, sniffing footprints for 5hours for a few weapons is not fun. If they bring her back please just remove the sniffing phase, her last stage fight is actually fun, and please I hope her weapons are craftable, not rng drop based again.
Imo the slot efficiency, i.e. what levels of skills are in the level 4 deco, are the most important. If it has 2 lvl 2s, or a lvl 3 as a component, I see these as much more valuable than 2 lvl 1s, like the crit eye deco. My reasoning for this is that it's really easy to slot lvl 1 skills into most MR sets, but you have to be selective with your larger skills.
You've got the right idea but this would be more relevant if lvl 4 gem slots were rare. Almost every set for any weapon should have at least 5 lvl 4 slots, so a lvl 4 deco with 2 lvl 1 skills can still be quite useful for maxing out or "finishing off" those lvl 1 skills.

I feel like I've wished for atk jewels so hard that it manifested in the weirdest way. Other than the 2 that were handed to me by the game, I've never seen an atk jewel since. Till now, I have the fortify/atk J4, guardian/atk j4, refresh/atk j4.
Folks literally anything you get as a + is good, you can wear gear that slots in whatever you missing. IE, if you didnt get an attack + but got an extra expert + just slot in a piece of gear that will give you more attack since you can fit in the extra crit with the deco.
I actuslly got really pissed when I first started Iceborne as I had just hunted Banbaro for the first time and got the Level 4 Artillery deco, which is exactly what I want as a GL main, but the game crashed as I was loading into the hub and it lost the quest progress, got some useless deco after doing it again. With the Melder now being utterly useless, getting the decos you need is going to be a pain.
Thankfully the lv4 artillery deco isn't super needed for GL. When you go to make the Zorah armor for the artillery 5 set effect the alpha helm and chest have artillery 2 on each. Meaning all you'll really need is a single artillery deco to finish.
Unless they have proof of them existing, then they don’t considering the full list of jewels exist with people who have savewizard for ps4 and they don’t exist within it.
Daniel Adams Sadly there aren’t a lot of +jewels or even ones that are hard, like there’s the hard defense jewel but not a hard attack jewel. Kinda dumb, but nothing we can do about it.
Navy Submariner yeah it kinda does suck but still, some of the combo skill decos are preferred to me rather than an atk +4. The guardian + attack is pretty nice plus some of the handicraft ones
I'm a Gunlance user but I'm not sure if I'm hyped about that deco, the Zorah set will be a must have for any artillery user and the set already gives enough Art skills.
I ended up getting a offensive guard / attack deco last night. As a CB Main the RNG gods blessed me and I have 3... Resuscitate attacks. And I'm not even at tempered elder dragons yet
Actually I don't think that would be the case since the mantle only starts recharging when it is fully depleted and taken off. Tool specialist makes it recharge *faster*, but since it wouldn't be recharging anyway I believe that would just waste slots.
@@akimbo4637 maximizing uptime on the mantle decos using tool specialist. Just because it's not recharging while its on doesn't really mean anything. And recharging faster means that mantle will be back on faster. Wait till jinx crunches the numbers, you'll see quite a few meta sets running tool specialist.
@@blazedgamingkr I was under the impression that the slots only functioned while you had the mantle *on*. If this isn't the case its slightly overpowered and I of course would be wrong.
@@akimbo4637 no you're correct. But with tool specialist the downtime between mantles is reduced a lot. Allowing you to have those extra slots active as much as possible. Say you have 2 atk decos on the Rock steady mantle (like in the beta) that's extra dps you wouldnt have in the build otherwise. It's why he mentions it in the video. It could end up being meta depending on how quickly you can get your mantles up. Although I would see this working extremely well with the elementproof ones (which have long uptimes and shorter downtimes) than, say, the temporal mantle which has short uptime and long downtime.

I've been playing around with a back up ps4 save and save editor, the list is legit and all can be added in. It makes the deco page an absolute chore to work through tho if you have them all.

Jp has a gadget for ps4, which can modify your save data. that's where they got the info. I remember I was seeing new armor pics and specs before they were officially available. Because the game was already updated, the item is in the game. but the missions weren't online yet. so they modify their inventory to have the resources to make new armors.

Endless 8 they even said the new list may not be complete yet. They’re missing critical boost and WEX +4 and some other decos. The Crit boost and wez have been confirmed by TDS already. But honestly I won’t be holding my breath for a spread or forceshot +4. Just seems too good to be true lol

There are a lot of new set bonuses and in MHW every 4 piece set bonus had a decoration for it self now i'm not saying they will be a lvl 4 deco but it is hard to imagine that at least some of the different set bonuses are not on a decoration
I didn't see any Cirtical Eye mixed with other skills because I got a few lvl 4 decos of crit eye mixed with other skills... does this means there's actually a lot more decos than we already know now?!?!
Just wanna tell you mhwg.org has been the staple goto wikipedia for mh series for well over a decade. It provides much better informative and reliable contents than most English websites I could find, which I think would be extremely helpful for anyone interested in the mechanics behind the scene. I do read japanese and I think google translate did a decent job translating the website.
Anyone grinding for god decos like challenger +4 or attack +4 try playing quests with a 20 min duration, 1-2 faints, threat temp level 3. I played for 3-4 hours couple of days back and got a furor +4 deco, yesterday I played for 2-3 hours and got a challenger+4 and today after 2 quests i got an attack +4. All those quests were 20 min, 1-2 faints with 4 reward boxes. I have been playing those quests either alone or with just 1 more player, so max 2 players. Either i'm extremely lucky or the frequency of god decos is higher in 20 min 1-2 faint temp level 3 quests. Just thought I will share this with everyone. Hopefully it helps. Try it out guys.
@@DigiTism I did after my 5th mission. I was so happy. 200+ hours of MHW and never got a sonorous jewel drop and here after 5 missions... Boom! Sonorous jewel lvl 4
You don't think wide range is worth it? It's a great utility in random groups to keep everyone fighting. Mixed with mushroomancer and free meal you are the most importantly random sos helper ever.
Does mushroommancer work with wide range? In other words using the max potion equivalent mushroom, will it spread to others with wide range or only work for the player.

Everything except the mandagora (I believe that's the name) wide range also works with the skill that increases health items, so a blue mushroom is pretty an instant mega potion. And the tigrex set makes you have an endless supply of items. I do need to test if wide range is effected by item prolonger.
jake glumm Health Boost is more important, but I have Tool specialist and/or divine blessing as well in many of my builds. Tool Specialist+3 is excellent as it allows you to have a mantle on 80% or more of the time.
I'm looking at my lvl 4 element res jewels and they only give 2 points not 3. Am I missing something in regards to the spreadsheet saying they offer 3 points in their skills?
All I want to know is on the lvl 4 jewels it increase the lvl cap of certain skills how can I know if the lvl cap has been increased or not, for example artillery goes up to lvl 3 with lvl 4 deco it increases it by 2 lvls now on the lvl 4 deco it has 2 points now I added that with my already lvl 3 artillery build but it only displays 3 points still how do I know if it went up or not?

You mentioned a x2 critical eye deco from playing through the story in your video, but I have finished the entire story and never got this. What quest did you get it from?
I feel like the rare lvl 4 decos are like a 0.01%/100% god damn capcom i have a life you know, i can't waist my soul out farming tempered elder dragons every day and just keep on getting blaze jewels.
is it just me or does level 4gems not seem too great? A lot of them are just 2 level 1 skills which in HR armor you'd see 2 level 1 slots being about the same as a level 2 slot
A crit boost 4 and WeEx 4 jewel is said to actually exist, there was a photo spreading of someone having it, it was in Japanese Rarity 11, can’t confirm anything as legit but it’s possible

Airborne only applies to attacks that deal mounting damage, so it doesn't apply on the hammer's spin to win, only to the ledge hop attacks. IG is the exception as Capcom specifically made airborne apply to all its aerial attacks.
I guess the devs got annoy with everyone bitching about attack and crit decos since they seem so much more common in lv4 now. I played 400 hour of mhw and got 2 attack and 1 expert decos in all that time. In 15 hours of iceborn I have 4 attack and 3 expert combo decos not including the one you get in the storyline.
@@naitoflik92 Not at all, they were more common than attack decos but still very rare, most people would complain about not even have 1. You got very lucky, or you just played like 1000 hour or something.

Not really, Marathon Runner on Bow only decreases the stamina you consume when holding a shot. It's awesome for Dual Blades, though.

You should focus on 100% crit and crit boost over Attack Up (L)

Endless 8 they even said the new list may not be complete yet. They’re missing critical boost and WEX +4 and some other decos. The Crit boost and wez have been confirmed by TDS already. But honestly I won’t be holding my breath for a spread or forceshot +4. Just seems too good to be true lol

i really hope you don't need certain kt gear to make the MR siege gear (like just upgrading KT stuff) so one does not need to go back to KT after having iceborne... i don't want to do her again, still no glutton....

There are a lot of new set bonuses and in MHW every 4 piece set bonus had a decoration for it self
now i'm not saying they will be a lvl 4 deco but it is hard to imagine that at least some of the different set bonuses are not on a decoration
I didn't see any Cirtical Eye mixed with other skills because I got a few lvl 4 decos of crit eye mixed with other skills... does this means there's actually a lot more decos than we already know now?!?!

Just wanna tell you mhwg.org has been the staple goto wikipedia for mh series for well over a decade. It provides much better informative and reliable contents than most English websites I could find, which I think would be extremely helpful for anyone interested in the mechanics behind the scene. I do read japanese and I think google translate did a decent job translating the website.

Anyone grinding for god decos like challenger +4 or attack +4 try playing quests with a 20 min duration, 1-2 faints, threat temp level 3. I played for 3-4 hours couple of days back and got a furor +4 deco, yesterday I played for 2-3 hours and got a challenger+4 and today after 2 quests i got an attack +4. All those quests were 20 min, 1-2 faints with 4 reward boxes. I have been playing those quests either alone or with just 1 more player, so max 2 players. Either i'm extremely lucky or the frequency of god decos is higher in 20 min 1-2 faint temp level 3 quests. Just thought I will share this with everyone. Hopefully it helps. Try it out guys.

You don't think wide range is worth it? It's a great utility in random groups to keep everyone fighting. Mixed with mushroomancer and free meal you are the most importantly random sos helper ever.
Does mushroommancer work with wide range? In other words using the max potion equivalent mushroom, will it spread to others with wide range or only work for the player.
@@thorshammer2299 yes. Everything except the mandagora (I believe that's the name) wide range also works with the skill that increases health items, so a blue mushroom is pretty an instant mega potion. And the tigrex set makes you have an endless supply of items.
I do need to test if wide range is effected by item prolonger.

Health Boost is more important, but I have Tool specialist and/or divine blessing as well in many of my builds. Tool Specialist+3 is excellent as it allows you to have a mantle on 80% or more of the time.
I'm looking at my lvl 4 element res jewels and they only give 2 points not 3. Am I missing something in regards to the spreadsheet saying they offer 3 points in their skills?
All I want to know is on the lvl 4 jewels it increase the lvl cap of certain skills how can I know if the lvl cap has been increased or not, for example artillery goes up to lvl 3 with lvl 4 deco it increases it by 2 lvls now on the lvl 4 deco it has 2 points now I added that with my already lvl 3 artillery build but it only displays 3 points still how do I know if it went up or not?

The smithy gives you one after Beo/Banbaro. If you don't have it, you either sold it or you melded it.
I feel like the rare lvl 4 decos are like a 0.01%/100% god damn capcom i have a life you know, i can't waist my soul out farming tempered elder dragons every day and just keep on getting blaze jewels.

is it just me or does level 4gems not seem too great? A lot of them are just 2 level 1 skills which in HR armor you'd see 2 level 1 slots being about the same as a level 2 slot
The best ones are when they have 2 lvl2 or lv3 decorations in 1. But I have thought that in the beginning as well.

A crit boost 4 and WeEx 4 jewel is said to actually exist, there was a photo spreading of someone having it, it was in Japanese Rarity 11, can’t confirm anything as legit but it’s possible

I'm quite surprised you didn't mention Airborne/Skill 2 since Airborne is ran on a few weapons E.g Hammer or IG.
Anything with Airborne is good for IG or Hammer on most maps, when you can make spinny attack. Small thing you forget about
Airborne only applies to attacks that deal mounting damage, so it doesn't apply on the hammer's spin to win, only to the ledge hop attacks. IG is the exception as Capcom specifically made airborne apply to all its aerial attacks.

I’d rather put a Tenderiser or Crit Boost dec in than waste it on Airborne, sine most of your damage with an IG is done on the ground.
I guess the devs got annoy with everyone bitching about attack and crit decos since they seem so much more common in lv4 now.
I played 400 hour of mhw and got 2 attack and 1 expert decos in all that time.
In 15 hours of iceborn I have 4 attack and 3 expert combo decos not including the one you get in the storyline.
I thought expert decos were somehow common... i got like 12 in mhw o.0

Not at all, they were more common than attack decos but still very rare, most people would complain about not even have 1.
You got very lucky, or you just played like 1000 hour or something.

yes Heavy Artillery beefs up dmg for ballista and cannons while Artillery boosts gunlance shells, wyvern's fire, charge blade phials and sticky ammo and reduces Wyvern's fire cooldown
