The maverick is an awesome little truck. I am looking to buy one, but i might wait until i see what the 2025 versions have compared to the current ones. But i do believe the price is a bit too high, unfortunately.
Perfect vehicle for people who wants pickup but they will not use it in the hard way for example in construction side or off road. Great review as always. Greetings
I empty trashcans at work and just need one for that. The trash has made my current car stink to high heaven. This would be perfect since it has a bed and I no longer have to stink up the cab.
The ecoboost engines are fantastic until they aren't lol. Though I feel people don't regularly service them properly and leads to major issues early on because of this.
The Lariat is way too much money for nowhere near enough stuff (you can buy a decent Ranger or Tacoma for that sort of cash), but the XL/XLT Mavs are still a great deal for what they are.
@@jmanultra That is completely false. The Ranger has more capability and power. It is not even close. The Maverick is a truck in its own class. I sell these.
Apparently you haven't gone truck shopping lately. No way you can buy a ranger or Tacoma for even close to the Mavericks price. Not that the Maverick is a good deal. But truck prices are ridiculous
@@rickgarcia8481 Mavericks are exceptional deal in today’s market. There is little profit on them to begin with. What truck are you buying new for under 30k plus TTL.
The Lariat Ecoboost is only available as AWD, where the Lariat Hybrid is only FWD. In XL and XLT, the AWD is a $1500 option, so that's why the costs of Lariat seems to be relatively equal between the two motors, as the AWD is built into the Lariat Ecoboost cost.
I personally think this is a bit too expensive for this truck. The idea of this truck was to 1. Make a smaller truck for people who don’t need a huge truck and 2. Provide customers with a truck that is affordable since a lot of people can’t afford a $50,000 truck. For $42,000 you don’t even get a 360 degree camera, a power adjustable passenger seat, or a dampened tail gait. If you’re going to pay this much for the way the lariat is optioned you might as well just upgrade to the ranger to take full advantage of the things the ranger has that the maverick doesn’t.
I have the same model, Love everything about it with every penny! Also Your sleeping on Lane keep haha It's hands down the best feature of the truck i use it when towing on 16 hr trips and it makes the ride so much easier also at the end of a long day of work i click it on and let it take me all the way home, get to sit back relax and listen to music
Great review Kenny! I saw that this truck was very well equipped but for me it is on the pricey side. I believe you can get a Ridgeline with that sweet 6 cylinder or even a Tacoma for around the same price. I'd have to go with one of those. Totally agree about how dumb it was for Ford to delete the adjustable head rests in the F150. Hope that you are doing great!
@@josephduncan4356exactly Tacoma’s and Ridglines are $$45,000 and up . They’re in the same class as the Ranger . Honda and Toyota don’t make anything in the same class as the Maverick only thing in its class is the Hyundai Santa Cruz and it starts $3,500 more than the Maverick .
I think the base price is good but they're overcharging on upgrades. A lariat with the FX4 and tow package should only be 10 grand more than entry level. Although they call it a luxury package it's pretty watered down, The real leather, soft touch material, no auto dimming mirror or memory seats.
I got one of these also minds 93 the price. Yeah, but still a good truck. I like everything it has with it has a bed cover, the fold up one this truck happened to be something that someone ordered and then decided not to take it. So I went ahead and scooped it up from a local hot rod builder in the area but. I'd like to drive three f , fifties , so it's not my first truck for ford , but I'd like this one okay , thank you ,
How is the performance of that engine? I'm just wondering about here in Southern California getting on the freeway you need to sometimes punch it and is it good in that kind of a circumstance?
The Maverick imo isn't worth anymore than 42k loaded to the max. I'd get the Ranger for that. Got my 24 xlt fwd for 29500 otd, which is still high imo. The only thing I wish my xlt with lux package had it doesn't is the backup sensors.
Is there a package that makes these medium trucks higher from the ground.l ? The reason that I'm asking is due to the fact of flooding due to climate changes. These trucks pretty much compare to regular motor vehicles heights. Thank Ú .
How was the Sound System? The sound system and the better seats are really all I care about in the Lariat. The Sun/Moon Roof I really don't want. Heated seats and steering wheel don't need, the copilot and driving aids/Nanny, no thanks. My current car has the Sun/Moon Roof and I have opened it maybe 10 times in 6 years just something to leak at some point. Also, if you think 42k is slightly overpriced try high 51k like some I have seen optioned into oblivion. At that rate just get a Ranger and be done with it.
Just got a 24 Lariat with 4k tow, stickered at $37,370. The sound system is better than in lower trims, slightly upgraded tweeters, center channel and a 6" X 9" sub & amp behind the back seat. Loud! Wish it had ventilated seats, or that cloth was available in Lariat.
Great job in describing the truck inside and out. I learned more about the truck by your descriptions then reading my manual. I love my 2024 tremor.

Everything you need to know without actually test driving one. Very cool.

No, you can’t actually. A new Tacoma with add ons and etc is more expensive. That is also bare bones, fleet truck.
You can’t even touch a 4WD Tacoma or Ranger for the price of a Lariat Maverick. And the Maverick runs circles around the sluggish i4 Turbo Ranger.

Ahhh, okay, that makes sense
There's a rumour that the hybrid will be available in AWD for the 2025 model year
I have a 22 Maverick front-wheel drive all gas I love it😊

That is hilarious.I've never heard the turn signal sound demonstrated before.
Hey that can be annoying, I had a car with Blinker sound that drove me INSANE. You NEVER forgot to turn them OFF, EVER!😡
Yes of course Kenny & I might buy this truck.
Yessirrr

Really? Maybe used Tacomas and Ridgelines but the new ones I see are at least $10K more where I live.

Great review from a real owners perspective 😎
I just love my 50 mpg hybrid, but offer an AWD or 4WD hybrid and I will sell my Maverick Lariat Hybrid 2-day.
Once again Kenny great job 🥊👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic job Kenny.
Thanks bro🙏
Great review very informative
The Maverick is the size the Ranger USED to be. I don't think a Ranger will fit inside a standard attached garage.
In Dallas the lariat is selling for 36k

You should be a bit more delicate than let the tailgate slam open. The available tailgate dampening kit is a must have.
This truck is cool. I'd rather have the 2 liter also.
Just better imo
Have a hybrid Maverick 2024 XLT getting 48.9 mpg . It is to good to be 👍 true

I definitely know it’s worth it! I bought 2 hybrids!
The hybrids get great fuel economy

No emergency break system ?
The engine will break down when you need it most. Not sure if that's what you mean
It has emergency braking,at least my lariat trim has it not sure if it's in the luxury package or not.
I want one
id personally get the xl

you can do a level lift and bigger tires took me 2-3 hrs to install really easy on this truck

Total waste of money. The $20,000 mini truck is now 28K. The Lariat is $38k as equipped. Forgot it
What are you buying new out there for 38k and is not bare bones base?
N O P E.......
ripoff. the car is built to be an economy car, then added a few gizmos and charge 15k too much
I'd say about 10k too much
Bingooo
I just bout a23 with 13k miles. Lariat closed for 30k otd. That's more in line I think.
