I hv the same magnifier so it seems I must bring the object very very close to focus, maybe like 5cm from the lens? More than that and it’s blurry. Is that supposed to be like that?
The focal length depends on the which lens you fixing on the glasses. It's easier to adjust to focus distance by placing the object close to the lens and moving away from your eye to adjust the sharpness. Not suitable for soldering because you need to get close to the object for it to be focus to see, so your face, nose will be to close to the soldering iron and breathing in the smoke. I bought such glasses because I often repair fine mechanics and electronics. I have to say this is absolutely rubbish. They had a magnification of 20X, which is decidedly too much, because the object had to be brought closer to the lens to approx. 15 mm. It was not possible to see with both eyes at all, and the optical distortions were enormous. With all this, it is still impossible to do anything. Of course, I returned the glasses and asked for the purchase price back, because this box is completely useless and made of the cheapest plastic. In short - USELESS! Ob vsem tem še kaj delati pa je itak nemogoče. Očala sem seveda vrnil in kupnino zahteval nazaj, ker je ta škart popolnoma neuporaben, izdelan pa iz najbolj cenene plastike. Skratka - NEUPORABNO!

I did show and explain in the video (10:42) that you can remove the front extended lens which is 15x magnification and use just the fix lens that is only 8x magnification. If use Both of lens together is 23x magnification.

Instade of moving the lens, you adjust the distance of the object from the lens to get it into focus. Hold the object infront of the lens and move it close or away from the lens to get it to focus, when your used to it, its easy to get it to focus.

If you do not know how to use the lens dont say its a bad produt, YAll fix lens works the same, you have to use only 1 eye, either left or right eye to look through the lens and not with both eyes at the same time. this is a fix focus lens with 2 magnification size, and each lens got a different focusing distance, you need to get used to hold the item at a correct distance in front of the lens that you want to view for it to be in focus. If you find it to difficult using 1 eye you can spend more money to buy a electronic enlarger that is able to hook up to a tv monitor.

Como la mayoría de las lupas, es una lente fija, no puede ajustar la distancia focal. Si está demasiado cerca, puede quitar la lupa adicional.
