One of the fun and thrilling things in the ownership of a GT is, that in the back of the head you always have to be aware, that if the motors are in full power - and even though all safety systems are engaged - the car wants to kill you if you’re an idiot. 😬😜👍😃
Thank you for your honest review and opinion. Living in Australia, Kia has tuned the GT’s adaptive suspension for our roads. Driving it back to back with the GT-Line I couldn’t feel the ride quality being different and if anything the GT handled the short/sharp bumps better. I agree with the head rests, however found the ones in the GT-Line to be too forward (I’m the same height as you). Back space and seating for me had virtually no under thigh support due to the battery underneath. Luckily I won’t be spending anytime their. 👍😎
@@ItsOnlyElectric Yes. I forgot to mention why the front seats lack head bolstering. As they are almost racing seats they naturally need to also be able to accommodate the front two wearing helmets. A simple solution (which I haven’t done yet) is to source some Velcro additional support padding for them. I’m sure you’d be able to find some in a similar colour combination so they don’t look cheap and nasty. Even living in Melbourne I don’t have a problem with the lack of range as I have solar power at work and home with the 11 kilowatt, 3 phase charging. Plus, if it’s over 6 hours of driving I generally fly instead. If not then we have almost enough fast charging stations in the right spots. Being quicker than most to charge is a massive positive for me. Daily driving seldom sees the battery drop below 70% so the GT button is always available.
Nice! So the EV possibilities in Australia are really growing. Glad to hear that. 👍 The adding of padding would be something I would go for if I owned a GT.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Just haven’t looked enough into the additional head rests. It is however on the list. Our EV charging network still needs improvements, especially considering the stats say buy 2025/6 50% of all new vehicles sold will be electric. Our governments know this, just aren’t keeping up as usual. 😂
Sport mode doesn't give all the power. Only GT and My Mode (with sport+) has all power available. Sport mode gets you around 4.2s 0-100km/h, where the GT and My mode is around 3.5-3.7s 0-100km/h.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Yes. There is also additional performance optimization which heats the battery pack to optimal conditions, if the ~3.5s is not enough :)
Well)) as owner of ev6 gt I can be disagree about hard suspension. My previous car was bmw e90 M package and trust me, after that - KIA seams to me soft as a living room couch) I'm really satisfied with suspension.
NMC offers faster charging, better cold weather management and has higher energy density (lighter) than LFP batteries. This is a generalisation and LFP batteries are catching up in many aspects.
This is one of my favorie EVs out there.. Kia nailed this one..
Really phone to drive! It's nice to have a car that combines performance with practicality.

Exactly! Kind of a dare devil set-up
It’s definitely not for idiots.😀
😂
Lovely video well done 👏
I just recived my 325 bhp all wheel drive one in black
Enough power 🔋
And more range
Cannot wait
2 days left ❤😅
Exciting, good choice to go with the AWD version. 👍
Turn the traction control on in MyDrive mode if needed and leave every else as GT mode set up!
Great tip, especially if you want to survive the winter. 😂😂

Nice to hear about the tuning of the suspension. Do you drive one?

@marcusgeorge1825 I think that goes for most governments unfortunately.
Lite info :)
ECO mode ger ca 290hk
Normal + Sport ger ca 430hk
GT 585hk
Snyggt! Tack för infon

I tested the acceleration in GT mode, but appears to have a "hidden" setting for activation of more power on top of GT mode

I get your point 🙂

Can you provide insight on the NMC vs LFP battery chemistry please? Does KIA use NMC because it charges faster?
NMC offers faster charging, better cold weather management and has higher energy density (lighter) than LFP batteries. This is a generalisation and LFP batteries are catching up in many aspects.
👍I hope to see the Hyundai Ionic 5 GT soon

@@ItsOnlyElectric Ok vad bra.
Blir det någon review av Hongqi- ehs9?
@UgglemannenFTW inte omöjligt
This or the byd seal performance?
This
@@ItsOnlyElectric the only downside I see on this vs the seal is the range tbh
@Benjay1975 charging?
@@ItsOnlyElectric depends on charger , but yeah not a major concern
I have the Black Pack on mine, all blacked out
Nice! Looks badass
Verkar helt ok! 💪
Går ganska jämt med model3 performance då. 🤓
Men när zeekr 001 FR kommer.
1300 hk. 🤘
Ja, nära M3P i prestanda, helt klart. Lite större o tyngre dock.
Zeekr001 FR blir en annan story. Blir födock spännande och se hur Model 3 Plaid blir
@@ItsOnlyElectric gissar på runt 750hk i 3 plaid. 2av 3 plaid motorer ju. Den villhöver jag. 🤓
@2TOKE69 den kommer bli helt störd.
@@ItsOnlyElectric jag har börjat vänja mig med min performance.
Så lite mer vill man ha. 😁
BS about the headlights for the US. The headlights in the US are a safety hazard if you drive above 60 mph and the highway is unlit, they're garbage.
Designen på denna kommer nog inte att åldras särskilt bra
Finns risk för det.
Im an ioniq 5 person, I really dont like the design language of Kia at all, and that much performance in ANY vehicle is immoral.
Kia is really playing with the design and all models look so different from each other. Hard to understand their design dna 🧬
And very dangerous in the wrong hands!!
Yes!
