I’ve had an EV6 for 2.5 months (GT-Line RWD cuz range). It’s pretty awesome. Ditto on Meridian. It’s not a loud/boom system, but it has excellent positional accuracy and reference quality. Ditto on the unlit charging port. It’s annoying to fumble around in the dark trying to plug in, and having to use my phone flashlight to find the the button to close the door. That’s a small complaint though, and maybe the only one I have. The EV6 GT is a great car.

The EPA rating is very easy to beat. I have an EV6 GT and I am getting 3.4 mi./ kWh for the first 700 miles of ownership in mixed driving. With 74 kWh of usable battery, that equals over 250 miles of range. I drive mostly in Normal mode, which has plenty of power, with occasional bursts in GT mode. This is a wonderful car. Thanks for your expert explanation of the motor windings - very interesting. No other reviewer has pointed that out.
Hey girlfriend, loved the review thank you 😊👍. Just a lil friendly reminder KWH (kilowatt hours) is the measurement of capacity i.e size of the battery, KW (kilowatts) is level of power i.e watts=amps×volts 😘. With this sled designed chassis having an 800V architecture and published kWh usable battery size one can figure out battery degradation, charging curve, ect.

To get full power you need to pre-condition the battery and let the gauge build up. And the range I am getting is 252 on back roads and some highway Kia is being very conservative with that range
Found a link to this review on the Kia EV6 forum, what a detailed yet fun review! That was a fantastic review of the suspension components. I wonder how it compares to the competition, especially the Tesla 3 I'm looking to trade in. Suggestion - I wish you could provide some data, even if it's only a lookup of the specs, on the braking distance and comparison of the competition. And then cargo space. 12:30 Thank you Sarah. You're the first car reviewer I've heard recognize that the batteries will lose charge over time. If you're leasing, no big deal. But if you're buying, that's a significant concern.
The Kia high voltage batteries are covered for 10 years / 100K miles. In that time I believe the battery is covered if it degrades more than 35%. In practice, there are 300k mile Tesla Model 3's with 80% battery range remaining. Which is adequate for most. This EV6 also uses a heat pump, which extends range in cold climates. Electric Vehicles are getting better every year.
@@SarahnTuned yep and there’s no recognised way of assessing the health of used batteries. The problem with "tuning" EVs is that its a simple calculation - more power + less range. The most real gains are from reductions in wind resistance.
