    UPDATE: My opinions on the short shifter changed a bit after my first track day. Watch this video starting @ 9 : 46 th-cam.com/video/eknaONq_gtg/w-d-xo.html for my most recent thoughts. I still love the renegade shifter but im going to back to stock.

    New sub.
    It is OEM all the way for my 2004 S2000. I also own a 94 Integra GSR that I have kept stock since new except for the exhaust 2 years ago. I have an after market cat back that I absolutely detest. Looking to get something much quieter and closer to stock. Enjoying your content, looking to seeing more from you.

      @@zaahidrahman I now have the Integra insured as a classic car. It has fewer than 90,000 kilometers. I store it from November to April or May depending on weather. Canadian winters are not kind to older Hondas and Acuras Same for my S2000 with 81,000 kms which I bought in June 2020. I know that car has not seen winter since at least 2009. Not sure before that as it came from New Jersey.

      When you said “since new” are you saying youre the first owner of the gsr? Must be beautiful. Your s2000 purchase was a good investment as well. I bought mine in 2019 with similar mileage as yours and its only gone up in value since. Its going to be fun to holding onto these cars!

    I had one which felt great but unfortunately it’d rattle over 4K rpm. I know a few others who had this issue, didn’t affect performance but got too annoying overtime so went back to stock.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t experienced any rattling yet but id likely switch back to oem if it did. Do you think it has any thing to do with the amount of grease provided with the kit? I felt like it definitely use more than what renegade provides.

      From all of the ones I've seen rattle,, some way more than others. This shifter isn't the best thing, hard to get into reverse at times, also during track use some gears don't go in smoothly.

    • @zaahidrahman

      I do still enjoy this but part of me is not sure if i would do it again. Its a well manufactured product and does add more of a mechanical feel along with a shorter throw to your shift. Im curious if i could achieve a similar result with just the bushing instead of the kit. My favorite part is the mechanical shift feel.

    Who loctites a shift knob.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL i thought the same thing but apparently its a somewhat popular mod. People remove the locking nut so the knob sits about 3/4th of an inch lower and the use loctite to keep the shift pattern lined up. Big price to pay for a slightly shorter throw imo....

    Bro... you are DESTROYING the seat side bolster on your car. Once the foam gets pancaked, it looks like ass. Don't ever sit in an S like that.

    • @sdlausen1
      @sdlausen1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zaahidrahman sarcasm aside, it's really a thing. The bolsters are really poorly made and eventually turn flat like a pancake. It looks terrible and hurts the value of your car.

    • @zaahidrahman
      @zaahidrahman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@sdlausen1 lol i genuinely appreciate it. After i read your comment it got me thinking i havent seen my actual seats in years. I put clazzio seat covers on the soon after i bought the car. Maybe ill do a video on the seat covers next. They come with a “bolster protector” but its essentially a plastic piece that maintains the shape under the cover. Good options for s2k owners who have already pancaked their bolstering 😂
