They are expensive however it honestly has to be one of the best short shifters I've personally ever purchased. I think we have to remember the purpose of the s2000 when modifying it, the car isn't made to be very fast. Its made to be great for driving. So when we improve things like chassis stiffness and shortening shifts as well as making them feel more mechanical, we are improving upon the original intentions of the designers of the car. So the $400 price tag in my opinion, is worth it. Even if it was $1,000 I would still buy it. The shifter is extremely short though, pretty much like driving a car with a gated shifter. if you don't like that, do not buy a short shifter in general the OEM one is fine.
What exactly is the difference with the stock one? I bet the red knob on your stock shifter would be lower than the previous long knob and make it feel shorter shifting by itself 🙈
check your transmission mounts could be busted and moved the transmission from the center. it will be difficult to reach the bolts needed to remove and install short shifter Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to watch bro!! means a lot!! in my opinion YES! drastically improves the overall driving experience! very well built and I do believe they are limited in production run as far as I know. I will talk about it in more detail on the next video I'm working on stay tuned!!
no, I Haven't grinded a gear or anything like that lol but it is easy to get used to the feeling of it. but i can definitely see in some cases of going to a different gear on accident due to the short throws
