Naka: I can't believe I blunder a piece (for two pawns) Kramnik: Crap, I have to find the best move against the blitz king (3 seconds left) Draw by perpetual, all smile
@Joe Kallisterobviously more time to calculate lets players calculate more lmao, but blitz and thinking fast is its own skillset... also the only chance we have for chess to become a mainstream sport really
He had a losing position, why would he be angry? And while Nakamura is pretty good, and popular on Chess.com, let's not forget that Kramnik dominated blitz the entire 90's and was an actual WORLD CHAMPION for 6 years. I think Nakamura was okay with the result.
@@yusufahmed2233 yes, i meant the move after rook move. I know its only a adjust the piece, but still Kramnik could stop the game and wait for the arbiter, right?

zefanya soplantila I think it’s because nakamura would be able to punch his C-pawn. If u look closely you can see Kramnik thinking about moving his knight but chooses his king instead. Only a theory tho, have no clue if I’m right or wrong here.
caus his own knight on e5 would be hanging, so he captured the rook first forcing nakamura to capture rook with queen. and then since it was his turn he saved his own knight with tempo on nakamura's rook, nakamura offered trade of queens threatening that if knight captures rook he will capture kramnik's queen, kramnik avoided by placing his queen with tempo on the knight, nakamura offered trade of queens again but left his knight hanging.
Да.. , уж - Крамник реально утерял технику и «шахматный короткий счет», чего никогда не скажешь о Карпове, Каспарове, Иванчуке. «Шахматные гены» этих мастадонтов - просто не позволят подобное сделать.

A whole knight down and gets a draw Nakamura is insane
No it was a knight for 2 pawns, so only a pawn down technically...

8:21 did Nakamura do an illegal move? He touched the rook and moved with a queen or am I wrong?
EDIT: 8:23 to be clear.
He moved his rook
He moved his rook. On the next move, he touched his rook without any intention of moving it (just the adjust the piece) so its completely fine.

This makes me wonder why kramnik seemingly has something against Hikaru specifically now?

@ 9:22 if Kramnik gave check with queen , he would have gotten hikaru's queen
A queen can be captured both ways so...it wud have been a trade, which Naka was already trying to do for a while In that game

Because even a pacifist would bring a gun to a gun fight.

Just trade the dang queens. I don't care if it's not the best move
at 7:29 why didnt kramnik just take the knight
