I'm not a big Hans fan, but it's always nice when such tension and drama come with chess games. He also played a great game. It was fun and entertaining to watch.

Hans improved so much lately. He is currently ranked #17 in the world in both classical and blitz. Like him or not, the guy provides some entertainment, is resilient and he really smoked Hikaru here. Also, checkmating Magnus on the board is nothing to sneeze at.

@@a.8597 I saw a video that took his early games when he was grinding his ELO for GM or tournaments, they took all his moves he made and put them in a computer and found many of them to be 90-100% accuracy, like stockfish or higher. He cheated to speedrun into tournaments and play professionally. Not my opinion, it's the computer that found the abnormally high accuracy in his lower games. Plus it showed he made little to no mistakes and improved too fast.
