I would think danya would be the last person ever accused of cheating. He commentates super GMs playing rapid or bullet games all the time and spots not just good moves but is able to instantly articulate the ideas to an audience of casual chess players. I think when someone can do that it’s pretty clear they can calculate in their head much faster.
@@SantiagoSánchezPrietowhat you don't understand is the point that Danya is already great, an instructor, commentator, and a player. The risk of cheating far outwieghs the "avoid losing" objective.
Great point, I think Kramnik And maybe other GMs like Nepo think it's odd that he's such a good bullet player, but he just is. He thinks super fast, which shouldn't necessarily translate into considering every possible line in classical chess. He's still a strong GM, but doesn't need to be in the Candidates every time just to be a fast thinker.
@@villbuzeep2043 Dumb take. Everyone often has engines, or you think TOP GMs are not familiar with engines? Danya sees lines 10 moves ahead and explains them instantly. And he does this on a regular basis.
I think he feels pissed and hurt because nepo and other gms, and the community of gms believe that there is something going on vs. in hikaru's case in which most people laughed it off. So, he is losing credibility because of Kramnik's "not" accusations.

Kramnik, my guy, no one owes you an explanation. He accuses 10 people a day and expects a thesis level response as if his weird, delusional opinion is actually worth something at this point. What percentage of the elite players he's accused have been proven cheaters? Kramnik has lost all credibility, the Alex Jones of chess.
And the one time someone did accept his challenge he wasn't even capable of playing 3+1, the format in which he accused him of cheating in the first place, because he knew he would've gotten demolished.
Paul Morphy does tend to not look straight at the camera in all his 19th century photos. I don't accuse him of anything, only asking what engine he's looking at?
I feel so bad for Danya he is such a good player with amazing videos who is super respectful and Kramnik just throws random accusations with so much obvious hatred, it's ridiculous.
I'm 1900 and I will take any challenge by GMs where we play ANY position that I'm already +7. it's like fighting bruce lee but he is missing 1 arm and 1 leg. I won't even be proud of winning. let's for a moment say danya is a cheater. kramnik is mentioning he keeps looking away from screen where he is +7. wouldn't danya stop cheating where he is +7? and play on his own at that point? so, is kramnik saying danya's real rating is lower that 1900? cuz I believe i can win +7 positions easily. also, i improved my chess watching danya youtube channel. he doesn't post bullsh!t for view. he just posts instructive learning chess.
Kramnik: "Look at Hikaru's games, it's impossible for a human to win so many in a row! These statistics are clear proof." Hikaru: "Don't accuse me of cheating." Kramnik: "WOAH VICTIM ALERT, nobody said you cheated, I was just asking a question!" And here we see the exact same thing happening again. The nerve of this guy to make wild speculations based on eye movements and mentioning a move (then deciding not to play it) and call it "evidence" is staggering. I am so disappointed that Nepo has agreed with him in both accusations as well. It's one thing for a bitter old man, who can't face the fact that younger peoples' minds are sharper than his, to do it but for a current top player to cheerlead for him is ridiculous and I wish FIDE would slap Nepo with some kind of suspension from competing in events. Daniel and Hikaru are exceptional blitz and bullet players. Both of them are capable of beating Magnus a decent % of the time in these formats, who is a far better player than Kramnik and Nepo have ever been. I'd put a lot of money on either of them to humiliate Kramnik in a blitz series.
@@zelareka You'd have to ask him that question. I don't know the guy. If I had to guess I'd say right now he's more in shock and upset than worrying about earning $, I'm just saying I think he'd destroy Kramnik in blitz, especially if they play on computers. Even if I'm wrong, if they have the series eventually and Kramnik wins it 20-10 for example, does that prove Daniel cheats? No more than him briefly considering a backwards bishop move does (one of the most ridiculous arguments I've ever heard in my life, by the way).
@@zelareka I'm not a mind reader, so this is just speculation. First of all, in this kind of forced match, only Daniel can lose something. If he agrees to the match and there’s a slightest shadow of a doubt, or if he doesn’t beat Kramnik quite convincingly, it could hurt his reputation and career. There’s no doubt Kramnik wouldn’t hesitate to push his totally-not-accusations even further. Whereas for Kramnik, there’s nothing to lose: he’s an old man, expected to lose to a much younger blitz player, and his reputation at this moment is garbage anyway. If the match happens, Daniel would be under immense pressure, which is far from ideal when you’re forced to prove something you don’t have to prove in the first place. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Kramnik pulled even more shenanigans with the conditions of the match, making the situation worse. So, from this perspective, there’s no point in caving to this obvious blackmail and taking the risk. But I’d still be glad if Daniel consented and beat the living crap out of Kramnik (in terms of playing chess of course).
@@zanmato3103 Daniel is a blitz player. Kramnik is not. Thoughts of a Blitz player and a classical player are not the same. And give it a rest with the 'I'm not accusing' garbage. That's exactly what he's doing, and he knows it. Nobody thinks Danya is cheating. Just as nobody thinks Jospem is cheating. And nobody thinks Hikaru is cheating. Except Vlad the Implyer. Because he's crazy.
Kramnik has a pattern of behavior when losing online. If you beat Kramnik in a way that frustrates him online, he will immediately suspect you're cheating. He then proceeds to mouth off about it on Twitter. After he cools off, he plays the game where he says "stop playing the victim I'm just asking questions". Rinse and repeat. If Kramnik was genuinely concerned about cheating, he would go about it differently. These are instead temper tantrums linked to losing online. Ian constantly jumping in and agreeing with Kramnik every time he does this, is a lot worse in my opinion. When Ian does it, it looks more like resentment. If Ian believes these GM's are cheating already, why does he always wait for Kramnik to have a meltdown before mentioning it?
I don't think he would, because I think he knows Magnus is better than him even at his peak But I think he struggles to accept that modern young GMs are now better than him too
Kramnik is a disgrace of a former World Champion. Kudos to you Danya for still being as respectful and composed as possible in your response even when someone is clearly targeting you with slanderous lies, you are a bigger man than many of us, an absolute class act and most of all the best chess teacher by far at least as far as I’m concerned. Keep your head high, the truth prevails. Edit: forgot to mention, Nepo is a snake in the grass, the sheer audacity to even indulge in and promote Kramnik’s delusional acts of grandeur and self-righteousness just shows that he has no integrity as a fellow competitor either.
Kramnik says: "And you clearly see the engine is here". then says he didn't accuse, wants Danya to explain where he was looking at in a VOD years ago, then after Danya shows around the room, he is still not convinced and claims his explanation is not factual(fact:whatever Kramnik believes). There is simply no way to satisfy him, whatever answer Danya gives, he will continue to ask "Questions", he doesn't even realize that noone owes him an explanation.
That is because Kramnik is full of conspiracy theories as one person said in the comments. Evidence does not matter when there are conspiracies. So yeah Danya will never really prove he is not cheating in this case because people like Kramnik exist.
And Kramnik claims that he is not accusing Danya so why is Danaya obligated to answer every single questions he has? Even in court, there are times when lawyers do not answer every single accusation or claim made.
Kramnik does this shit after every loss. He’s just a sore loser. What a embarrassment for the chess community. There is literally compilations of him pulling this crap.
What the heck is wrong with Kramnik? He says, “I’m not being slanderous.” Of course he is. He’s clearly implying that Dayna has been cheating. Danya should not have to deal with this crap. I feel sorry for Kramnik but he also makes me really angry.
Kramnik accusing a professional of cheating which is a level of slander that damages ones career and then bullying the victim saying they're playing games trying to win over the audience. Is just such an intense and unallowable amount of bullying. Like yeah he's defensive you are accusing him of the worst thing he could possibly do in his profession. To attack and then step back and insult the one you're accusing while saying you never made any accusations is the tactic of an abuser. I knew of Kramnik accusing all these players but I didn't know of how he was going about doing it. My comment on Kramniks recent video: @VBKramnik The “I’m just asking questions” line is getting tiresome. You basically say that you have “questions” and “suspicions” but you aren’t “accusing.” Sure, suspicion and accusation technically aren’t the same. Suspicion means you’re side-eyeing someone, thinking something’s off without saying it outright. An accusation…That’s publicly throwing your finger in their face with a series of videos. To my eye at least, it is quite clear that you walk, talk, and quack like an accusation duck. It’s like holding a lit match near a fuse and pretending you’re just ‘observing.’ You’re not fooling anyone. At least own it.
I remember when Kramnik was called a humble, well-spoken, sportsman right before his retirement. He used to be a great person and supporter of up and coming players, this is bad.
Danya, don't worry. Nobody in the right mind buys these wild accusations and most of the community has your back. Best chess commentator in the world vs. gone crazy ex gm isn't even close.

GM Naroditsky. I thoroughly enjoy your exceptional abilities in BLITZ and maybe even more so your INTERVIEWING abilities as a commentator. Exceptional objectivity, balanced perspective, an unbiased interview style and respectful tact when speaking to GMs of renown and searching for a balanced narrative. It's hard to find or understand completely the motives GM Kramnik. It seems to be a witch hunt of sorts. A SHOTGUN approach while having a chance of enhancing or forwarding fairplay in chess in general, does very little to maintain the reputations of those players who have always had fairplay as part of their internal modus operandi wiring. A GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT requirement is an exceptionally difficult standard for players to meet on past games or streams. I look forward to GM Kramnik being held accountable for his approach to the same level that all those who he accuses will have to meet. One question I have for you
Is GM Kramnik just farming us all. For likes, for traffic, for attention and traffic that can be monetized. Are we just all so blind? Is it just some deep play for him. Does FIDE condone his activities or is just a test case after test case scenario that they are OK with happening as looking under a lot of rocks may just turn up something dirty eventually. My recommendation is to take some DEEP BREATHES, gather your people in private and then go to WAR. This is your livelihood and many in the ether really enjoy your work. Thanks GM NARODITSKY for what you share and what you do.
It's just sad what became of Kramnik, not being able to acknowledge talent and skill when he sees it. Unworthy of such a former champion. Danya should not even bother to deal with his "questions".
I am not a professional player. But even I saw that Bc8 was worth considering. The B is then one future pawn push away from the long diagonal. I mean, who wouldn't look at that? I think Kramnik,s mind is starting to slip a bit.
Kramnik is starting to turn into the amber heard of chess.... constant career ending accusations after accusations without anything to back them up whatsoever 🤦♂️
All this makes me more sympathetic to Hans. Kramnik is a fool, but all the people on the opposite side should understand accusing people without direct proof is dangerous and devastating.
Nepo DID NOT enable Kramnik. Nepo said BC8 was an inhuman move which is true. Danya who ended up not playing it even agreed himself with the verdict and the fact that he didn't play it is proof that he didn't see how strong of a move it was.
I don't believe Kramnik's accusations against Danya for cheating in the slightest... it's ridiculous: Danya, who OTB almost never plays, beat Fabiano Caruana in classical 2 years ago. Kramnik hasn't been World Champion for 17 years, and even then he was past his "peak", which occurred between the end of the 1990s and the middle of 2000. Kramnik really thinks that in blitz he can still easily keep up with one of the top (easily 10) players in the world? At this point, it's no longer even a question of his "battle" against cheating, he's just delusional. But as far as I'm concerned, his "credibility" had already reached absolute zero when he insinuated that Hikaru was a cheater... this is just ridiculous. Virtually no one among the GMs likes Hikaru particularly well, yet I've never heard anyone before Kramnik even suggest that Hikaru might cheat in any way.
I'm someone who, in every setting requiring thought e.g. chess, exams, puzzles, looks away to think things through in my head. Sometimes when you're staring at a question, or a chess position, or a sudoku, it's much easier to manipulate things if you're just looking at your mental notes rather than the screen or paper. And I know a lot of people are also like this. So it's good to know that type of thinking is considered grounds for cheating allegations in anything. 5:15 "Normally you don't look away from the monitor with only a few seconds" no, normally YOU don't Kramnik. Shockingly other human beings behave differently. 12:00 "Nobody is condemning you" says man who made a series of videos psychoanalysing Danya's behaviour and putting it public, causing direct harassment and accusations to occur, something that you can literally just search. You can just go to Twitter and find the tweets, it's very easy. Kramnik might believe he's not accusing, and maybe he genuinely isn't, but either he's pretending to not know, or is genuinely completely oblivious to the obvious effect these types of videos have. The man needs to take up golf or something, get outside once in a while.
It's crazy what Krammik is doing right now. Danya is a wonderful person who helped so many new players to improve and even old players. People start to believe Krammik is becoming more credible because of a gm he accused online was caught cheating over the board but Krammik accuses 9/10 people he loses to and not gonna lie one of those 9/10 he reports per day is gonna coincidentally stick. Thats not him being right its like a kid shooting at a target 100x blindfolded and when one of them gets a bullseye it means they are good at aiming.
envy of someone's actual life is what makes these old guys do dumb stuff, he is doing good in his life & they think because they're old in this game deserve his place even when they didn't work harder than him to have such opportunities with less stress
He wouldn't dare, Magnus would invite him to a Blitz and crush his soul once and for all. Magnus is on another platform altogether and Kramnick knows that. That's why he sticks with players at his level and Calibre..
Right, if anyone asked who is more likely to cheat at any time in their lives: Danya or Kramnik... how many people would look further than Toiletgate Kramnik?
People don't realize that a) very very unlikely things still happen, given enough enumerations Danya has probably played 5000+ hours of chess on stream, 10.000s of games, of course there will be moments like these, where a weird move CONTEMPLATED but not played turns out to be the top move recommended by the engine. b) how certain editing and presenting of "facts" (actually, information) can lead them to believe in false things. Hence why so many people believe in batshit crazy conspiracy theories.
Kramnik being so pedantic. "I never said he was cheating!" The whole video is implying Danya is, so just because Kramnik didn't outright say the words, doesn't mean it's not what he is saying. So not only is he lying, he can't even be accountable for his own actions. The funny thing about that is he wants others to be accountable, but he can't hold himself to those standards.
He straight up said 'And its pretty clear that his engine is here' at 5:31, so he didn't just imply it. Action needs to be taken against this old geezer.
And who gave Kramnik the right to judge other chess players? Does he have any authority from FIDE to judge others? Did he forget how he cheated in the game with Topalov and won only because he ran to the toilet to cheat? It looks like some kind of disgrace of Kramnik - he loses to top players who have a higher rating than him and gets offended that he loses, then starts to invent something and suck it out of his finger, in short, Kramnik, as Nakamura said, has gone crazy)
I would think danya would be the last person ever accused of cheating.

Kraminik fixating on his eyes and words to already show strong suspicion is the highest level of chess cheating paranoia I've ever seen.
Don't worry about it Danya, everyone likes you and not Kramnik.
Fair enough, but that doesn't mean he is innocent and Kramnik is wrong.
Who's the police here? Definitely not you or me. Danya has a huge fan base, he (statistically) plays way more games than you or I I can ever be comfortable with. So stop with trying to defend Kramnik, he's more worried about farming. Things are changing. What about magnus? I'm a huge magnus fan btw. I stay out of drama like him... MAGNUS!!!
@@jasonyoungblood9359 How did I defend Kramnik? 🤔
@@fundhund62 i stay out of drama. GO magnus!!
@@fundhund62 of course not. However, it also doesn't mean that Kramnik's "questions" are not accusations, and that his "proof" is not weak tea. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and Kramnik has not provided that...he never provides that.
“If I can’t do it, no one can”. Since y’all can’t consider the move it’s automatically just cheating is crazy
Go watch Kramnik and Ding Liren do a post match analysis.
Kramnik gets all the analysis wrong.
Topalov was right - Kramnik is sus.
is it recent and did kramnik and ding do the analysis together? what is the name of the video?
@@Viewer13128 Just Google Kramnik and Ding Liren analysis. You'll find it soon. It's within the last few years although not sure of the exact date.
Kramnik over confidently states his analysis and Ding literally laughs at some points. And unsurprisingly, the computer agrees with Ding.
@@Viewer13128 It was years ago at a major classical event. They had just played their game and were at a table with one of the broadcast team.
Yeah, 50 trips a game into a private bathroom, definitely suspicious and unusual. Surely a 1000 time more than moving eyes while thinking, lol.
Kramnik, we would like a detailed explanation of those 50 trips. It's not that I suspect you of cheating, but it's very suspicious, unusual and out of order. And it's not that you didn't achieve the world championship title rightfully either, but the circumstances were suspicious, unusual and out of order.
Kramnik's last candidate's match was hillarious because he was wrong in maybe all the post game analysis but his arrogance, far beyond confidence, was unwaivering. I learned believing in your ideas is part of will & winning, even if wrong. It's like the step after a bad plan is better than no plan at all.
1:00 It's like he can't comprehend that people have different brains and could think of different possible things.
this is just rediculous. Literaly everyone but Magnus is acused of cheating by this guy. You can't take it seriously
I might be wrong, I remember he said magnus is sussy once
I genuinely hate kramnik, to turn around and accuse someone of faking their way through their livelihood is fucking vile. Especially when said person is passionate about it. Danya absolutely doesn’t cheat in chess, and he’s batshit insane for trying to do this day after day
@aspecimen6939 there are kids watching this, please do not use bad words. We also have to resist the temptation of saying bad words at the idiot who is Vlad and Nepo.
If someone makes Danya furious then it’s obvious that they’ve done something outrageous
Yeah I dont think Ive ever seen him this mad
Is everybody acting like his eyes movement is suspicious that out of touch? He is looking at chat!
And the Bc8 case is so weird, for a move that he just said was interesting, but didn’t even play. 2 years ago
My comment on Kramniks recent video:
@VBKramnik The “I’m just asking questions” line is getting tiresome. You basically say that you have “questions” and “suspicions” but you aren’t “accusing.”
Sure, suspicion and accusation technically aren’t the same.
7:52 "I don't like. I give facts and I'm asking questions. So please don't maňipulate public"
yeah, because the "questions" are not implicit accusations and are not manipulating public, right?
Kramnik: someone accused of chess deviancy in a public toilet on a crusade to convince us that no one is above chess deviancy.
"Dont manipulate again, there are only questions" now this makes me so angry :)) he is the one manipulating, he is clearly accusing.
I just stumbled upon this sittuation, so without any real context or emotional attachment, the Kramnic guy seems dead wrong. The entire time he was saying, "where are you looking" I was saying "CHAT!! HES LOOKING AT CHAT BRO!!". Is it possible this guy is so out of touch he doesn't understand how streaming with multiple monitors works?
Danya said chat was at left, but he was looking at right
@@villbuzeep2043 His left is our right.
But also like.....I look up and to the left when I am trying to calculate or remember something. Not for a specific reason, I just do it subconsciously. Hikaru looks at the ceiling. It is a completely normal tic for chess players to look away from the board when they are trying to calculate near their limit
@@jakebishop7822 There is a reason. Some of us need to not see the game to have a more clear image of what is happening. Looking to the side is like getting rid of the current position and telling your brain to make a new one in your mind.
@@villbuzeep2043I bet you always stare at the screen the entire game huh
The only way to shut kramnik is accuse him back. There are lots of his moves that is questionable and engine precision.
Vlad has already been banned from prize tournaments after he was caught cheating. As is typical with Russians, he blamed the whistleblower
Lets get behind Topalov, he is the UNO reverse card against Kramnik.

Kramnik is mentally sick and Naroditsky is one of the most beautiful brilliant minds we have. Danya is very well spoken, always has been, very likeable, extremely strong hyperbullet/ultrabullet player. He is extremely intelligent and great for chess. I love Danya. And Kramnik takes pills for paranoia. Kramnik is crazy!
Kramnick has early onset dimensha. It's just getting sad at this point.
Maybe spelling "dementia" at least at all CLOSE to correctly would be a good idea when you're accusing someone of having it.

This kind of gaslighting makes my blood boil, and Kramnik does it over and over and over and over again, he is truly a horrible being who, in my opinion, should be ostracized by the whole international chess community.
Kramnik is going the way of Stenitz, Morphy anf Fischer.
He's trying so hard to be like them, but he's a joke
Please he is way a lot worse. He is a psychopath.
Morphy was actually sane lol he quit chess to do an actual job
Not sure Steinitz deserves to be counted. Though being grumpy, I've never heard he was paranoid...
He does more damage to chess than all of them though
Maybe Danya has Sim card in his phone - kramnik probably
The words of Kramnik do not hold any value BUT Knowing that Nepo tweeted it, it HURTS...
If you watch hikaru or even magnus playing they also glance at the side all the time
Are you dumb??
It's just sad what became of Kramnik, not being able to acknowledge talent and skill when he sees it. Unworthy of such a former champion. Danya should not even bother to deal with his "questions".
Betting one million dollars that the "GM" Kramnik texted was just him in a different number

Its surprising how many people simply dismiss opinion of a former world champion
Kramnick’s low quality webcam drives me insane with his arrogance and gaslighting.
I'm more concerned with Kramnik's low quality, full stop
People should face penalties for false accusations in all honesty.
Kramnik is starting to turn into the amber heard of chess.... constant career ending accusations after accusations without anything to back them up whatsoever 🤦♂️
Kramnik. “Just turn your camera around.
Daniel “it’s a blank wall”
Kramnik “interesting why you stare at a blank wall. “
11:50 kramnik is the type of guy who cannot see the consequences of his actions in a world where he is wrong
He’s a rabid dog
All this makes me more sympathetic to Hans. Kramnik is a fool, but all the people on the opposite side should understand accusing people without direct proof is dangerous and devastating.
Nepo DID NOT enable Kramnik.
Nepo said BC8 was an inhuman move which is true.
Danya who ended up not playing it even agreed himself with the verdict and the fact that he didn't play it is proof that he didn't see how strong of a move it was.
exactly
Bro, what's with all those wires everywhere? Is that where he plugs in to get Bc8? I'm joshing btw.
Kramnik kept up and beat Jospem when they moved to in person blitz
@@villbuzeep2043 And then Jospem wiped the floor with Kramnik online and ended the contest with a 3 game lead.
@@villbuzeep2043 jospem isn't even the top 10 dude
Thats not him being right its like a kid shooting at a target 100x blindfolded and when one of them gets a bullseye it means they are good at aiming.
envy of someone's actual life is what makes these old guys do dumb stuff, he is doing good in his life & they think because they're old in this game deserve his place even when they didn't work harder than him to have such opportunities with less stress
next: Magnus is cheating
He wouldn't dare, Magnus would invite him to a Blitz and crush his soul once and for all. Magnus is on another platform altogether and Kramnick knows that. That's why he sticks with players at his level and Calibre..
Accusing Magnus would be his biggest mistake lmao
All this proves is that if Danya didn't waste time in college he could have been the next Magnus, he is brilliant when he thinks 😂
Danya is like the sweetest guy in chess haha. Probably the least likely to cheat. Kramnik picked the wrong one
He's picked everyone by now
So you're saying there's a chance?
Right, if anyone asked who is more likely to cheat at any time in their lives: Danya or Kramnik... how many people would look further than Toiletgate Kramnik?
@@thefart no
Amazing video. Just brillantly edited
Kramnik has just gone insane. I hope they have good mental hospitals in Russia or wherever he is living
People don't realize that
a) very very unlikely things still happen, given enough enumerations
Danya has probably played 5000+ hours of chess on stream, 10.000s of games, of course there will be moments like these, where a weird move CONTEMPLATED but not played turns out to be the top move recommended by the engine.
b) how certain editing and presenting of "facts" (actually, information) can lead them to believe in false things.
I can’t stand people who argue like that lol
