    This video has BLESSED my nail game! I've been doing my nails at home since the pandemic started. I've always had an issue with lifting and flooding my cuticles and side walls. And I obviously wasn't using enough layers. I watched one of your videos on how to avoid lifting, then this one on how to make it last and BOOM! My set lasted for 2 weeks. The only reason I took them off is because I was tired of the color. Amazing tips and info!

    Thank you thank you thank you!!!! The small “anchor” dip and doing thin application and holding my powder in longer than I was previously… I am floored!!! My dip polish was lifting within a day before. I’ve now had this dip set on for FiVE days with no lifting and just the tiniest chip at the tip of my left index finger. Thank you so much for these tips!!!

    You are good! Your nails look so natural. 5 layers that don't look thick at the cuticle. Perfect curve.

      @justme - 5 layers really isn’t a lot 🥰, it’s the strength you need to have a long lasting dip manicure. When you really think about it, you have to file and buff your nails at end. This process usually removes about 1.5 to 2 layers; leaving you with 3 to 4 dip layers. Your dip manicure will last a lot longer with more layers.

    Wow...I wish I'd found this video when I first started dipping my nails. There are so many great tips that I can't wait to try. I appreciate the details included and what a gorgeous color! I do have one question regarding the reds and darker colors and that is, what do you do if the base coat brush picks up some of the pigment? Will it ruin the base coat? Thanks for this information...I'm a new follower! 🌸🌸💕💕

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @miriamm First, welcome and thank you for subscribing! I’m so glad you found my video helpful 🥰! To answer your question, no the pigment will not ruin the base coat - it will TENT the base coat thus changing it from crystal clear to the predominant color, but the integrity of the product won’t change. One workaround could be: (1) buying a separate base coat for your lighter shades or RED shades. I hope this helps!

    Just got home from salon where I had my 1st dip manicure. The surface on 9 of my nails is rough and uneven! What did she do wrong? Can I buff it out and just apply a regular top coat? Thanks!

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Yes, you can file/buff off the top coat and use a regular top coat to resurface your dip manicure.

    I get my nail dip professionally done. Is there a like a top coat for dips that if I put it on at home, it will make my dip last longer?

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello - yes, I have two options available on my website. Here’s the link: traditional top coat (non-gel) naildipstudio.com/products/step-4-top-coat?_pos=1&_psq=top&_ss=e&_v=1.0

    I've watched your videos. How do you keep your top coat brush from getting hard?

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You must wash off the bond/activator completely before you apply you top coat layers to nails. This will prevent the brush from getting hard and curing. Thanks so much for your question 🥰

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I’m not recording a video, it normally takes me about 40-50 minutes to do my nails.

    • @jennifernunez2903
      @jennifernunez2903 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@naildipstudio how long do you wait in between everytime you dip? I feel like it takes me so long. Your video has given me alot of tips. Thank you!

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @jennifernunez - I complete one hand at a time. Dipping one finger right behind the other. Each layer takes me about 2-3 minutes to complete, so if I apply 5 layers ~ it normally takes me about 20-25 minutes to complete my dip layer application.
      Thank you so much!

    So is the light they use at the salon not necessary? I see them use an electric nail file and light to cure it so I didn’t think I could do Dip since I didn’t want to buy those things.

    • @naildipstudio
      @naildipstudio  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t need an eFile or UV/LED light to do dip nails. You can use the “traditional” base & top coat and a regular nail file (180/100) and still achieve an amazing look 🤩
