How long do your dip manis last? 💕
I usually get them done instead of doing them myself. Two weeks, then they start fracturing and cracking.😬
@@Manda698 sounds like you might need an apex or more layers 💪🏼
About 2 weeks!
Usually two weeks. Which I'm happy with.
Never more than 3 days 😢
I have tried gel, dipping. Different products, prepping, you name it. Only acrylic nails have lasted weeks. But your videos are so educational. I will try all your tips and tricks. Thanks!! I’m hopeful.
For me the main thing that makes my nails last and not pop off is building an apex even in very short nails. I am quiet rough on my hands and have a physical job and this is the main thing that has helped me keep my nails on for week and weeks.
Yessss!! I totally understand what you mean. We need the right strength for our lifestyle. So glad you found what works for you! 🙌🏼💕
I have a manual labor job. I did my dip powder for the 1st time & they lasted 4wks, no lifting @ all. I’m in love. I built up my apex, plus I have like 6-8 layers before I start to file & buff. It’s soooooo worth the extra time & dips.
Great information. I have Graves’ disease it is a thyroid disease. My nails peel crack spit. Doing my nails help to protect them. I really need to do my nails. I just don’t feel good enough to do them. I am having a hard time bouncing back from the surgery. Thank you for your videos. Have a great weekend.
That drawing you did...explains it so well! And quite possibly why one of my nails keeps lifting at the free edge. Never thought of it that way, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the great video full of helpful information
Very informative video, ty! 🩷
What an awesome video!!!! I hope you are doing good, ladybug ❣️
Very good video, i can't wait to get started.
Super! Thank you ❤
@SipAndDip thank you so much for this explanation on liquid control! Your demonstration helped me so much! Would it be possible to include something like that for top coat in a future video? I really struggle with no flooding my cuticles and sidewalls when doing the “3 quick strokes” of the top coat
Absolutely 🫶🏻 I am so glad you found it helpful! I do have a few dedicated top coat videos. I would say, for the first layer don’t worry so much about getting a complete and full coverage. Do your best to avoid your skin with a thin layer for the first coat. But the second coat you can be more detailed and slower moving. For some reason, I find that the brush will harden if you over manipulate it or finagle it on the 1st layer. That’s why I always stress not to over do it. But once that’s down, the 2nd layer can be much more precise!

you single-handedly taught me so much about dip nails than anyone else on YT! Thank you so much for your help! I'm new to dip and wish I had learned of it or tried it earlier. I was using regular nail polish since high school and am now I'm in my 30's looking for a more professional and longer lasting solution. Looove dip nails!
🥹🫶🏻💕 thank you so much for taking time to write such a kind and thoughtful comment!! So happy to have you here in our dip community!
This is such a helpful video!! We love it.
Thank you so much!! 💕
This is not related to the video but I would like you to share what other dip powder TH-camrs you find most informative & creative. Who do you trust for info? I love your content & have been extremely helpful for me!!
What happens if you get this on your skin or cuticle?
I'm new to your channel and to Powder Gel nails trying to learn everything I a little at a time for safety before I begin Tour videos are so informative.. Thank You ❤
Thank you this was very informative, I just want to clarify if i should just lightly buff new growth and use a dehydrator on the whole nail instead of buffing the whole nail(thats been previously buffed)? And if you have naturally thin flimsy nails would rubber base help with dip not lifting. Thanks Chelsea i love your videos!
I just did dip for the first time last night. Just clear because i want to polish over them. Thabk you for your tips, im hoping these last at least a week or two. Theyre not perfect, but for a first go I'm not mad.
Welcome to our dip powder community! So happy to hear you’re loving it! 💕
Is there a matte finish ideas?
Most of my lifting occurs at the free edge. Any ideas what i can do to stop or decrease the lifting? Ive had my dip powder on for onlyna week but need to do my nails already due to free edge lifting.
My lifting solution was solidify, and making sure o was diligent in adding several layers of solidify, letting it dry in between applications. Once I did that, the lifting stopped…and I don’t see it start until during week 2, and even then it’s very minimal
That’s such a great tip!! 🙌🏼 and I’m so glad you were able to figure out a solution!
Thank you so much. I have a question when I use dip powder my nails seem weaker. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it just me.? I know you're not a Dr.
Question, the natural and clear dip powder are not the same?
Can you use sanitizer? I use sanizer at work. My hands get sticky ( I'm not able to wash them at that moment) after washing the couters my hands get gross?
I'm new to the dip world♡
The only time I experienced lifting was when using azure liquids.
