  • India possesses a highly developed higher education system, which offers the facility of education and training in almost all streams of studies - from humanities to sciences to business. However, the flip side to the India's education story is that its track record in R&D is quite poor. This is reflected in the fact that not even one per cent of Indian students pursuing higher studies opt for research-oriented courses. In this episode of Heads Up, we take an in-depth look at the present situation and possible solutions.

You need 3 things to go somewhere.A vehicle, sufficient fuel and a good operator for the vehicle. We do have lots of good driver-talented people. We have sufficient fuel or money, I believe. The problem lies in the vehicle or namely institutions. There needs to be some big steps, strong as well as courageous but not foolhardy, from the government to start an R&D trend.

I guess the only solution is to make students familiar with the subjects. Internship along with study should be introduced not only for medical, engineering or CA students but even for a low level graduate. Industrial training should be made compelsory for atleast 6 months to make the students industry ready

if this continues India is going to lose its resources to other countries other countries are taking Indian students and using their knowledge to develop their countries the reason Indian student don't work in India is cause of corruption lack of oppurtunity and caste system which puts lower caste to a higher status so students generally makes lower caste certificates and goes to the top universities without even sweating while student who really deserves the seat has to compromise and finally goes to foreign instead of working in india

our education doesn't teach CRITICAL THINKING. Delhi university has 97-98 percent cut off for admission. But there are no Nobel price winners created here because No Critical Thinking. Only rote study. We create a copy of the British system. Lack ORIGINAL THINKING. Also society has a problem. India is full of religious thinking and conservatism. If u tell ur family that ur gonna do research for a career, u wont get that respect.

Here is the answer to your questions Indians in general spend too much time on religion, praying and meditation when the mind goes to rest. It is a well known fact that a sleepy mind is inactive, it does not think, it can only dream. You might call Indians dreamers. The same is true for muslims. They spend a lot of time praying, five times a day, I believe. Hence the reason why muslim societies have not produced any scientists. In contrast Christian societies spend only about one hour a week, on Sundays in the church. Rest of the time they are busy thinking. Only an agitated mind can think about innovation.

While this is true for muslim community hindu community prays even less than christian ones so this may not be reason.
reason is democracy because research can not earn votes.

The quality of research produced in India is absolutely concerning otherwise India would have been most successful country for exporting the technology to the world.

Assuming it is in dependent on the development of industry and gov policy. Advanced industry boosts R&D. To some extend, fund or money determines the situations as R& D needs a lot of money. No money means no instrument, no good staffs and no attraction. Secondly, high degree students should get suitable jobs after graduation. What does Indian gov provide for HDR students? Thirdly, job market also plays important roles in R&D. In develped countries like US, UK, AU or in some developing countries like China, competition in R&D is really intense. More and better outcomes in R&D help students to be attractive.

use the maximum amount of energy and power produced by dams ny using heating element powered by dams generators
now we use the steam boiling water by this heating technique so we got more efficient situation because water boiling temperature is fixed and we inject the water at constant rates which going to become steam instantly and steady flow of current flow occurred

One another thing that noone talks about is that all jobs are not given respect. Take wood working for example, I saw an interview an American girl saying she left engineering to start wood working because she simply enjoys it. This is not even imagineable in India.
