I got to know about this genius through my father. Mr. Singh was brought back to netarhat school in the hope that if he stays there, may recover from his mental illness. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. My father who was then a student at Netarhat got the opportunity to meet and play chess with him.
The irony is that when someone works harder while pursuing a career in academics, he/she is often derided for being aloof and too focussed. Even lampooned that he/she would turn insane. While growing up in Bihar, I first heard about him in early 90s, and since then he disappeared from public glare. There are some problems that I have thought about ever since I was an math degree student, and I think about them most days, certainly most weeks. And I can think about them for a few hours if I'm walking along on path. So my thinking is an essential part of my mathematical process, and it's very creative part because one is really trying to explore the possible in one's mind.

My father used to say his wife was not that much literate and she burnt his thesis papers and theories which he made which made him plunge into depression and poor mental state. And after that he became mentally unfit after a span of time. But he was a genius everyone says that.

As a person living in Ranchi and as a bihari he is a living legend often heard his stories from my father. My father used to say his wife was not that much literate and she burnt his thesis papers and theories which he made which made him plunge into depression and poor mental state. And after that he became mentally unfit after a span of time. But he was a genius everyone says that.
A case that is quite similar to Gregori Perelman a Russian mathematician and geometer who is known for his contributions to the fields of geometric analysis, Riemannian geometry, and geometric topology. In 2005, Perelman resigned from his research post in Steklov Institute of Mathematics and in 2006 stated that he had quit professional mathematics, owing to feeling disappointed over the ethical standards in the field. He lives in seclusion in Saint Petersburg and has declined requests for interviews since 2006.

It has been observed that very brilliant people , especially geniuses , teeter on the edge of mental illness ….its a fine balance…they do not belong to this world , esp this world is full of sin in kaliyuga ..esp Bihar is like severe punishment ….hope god takes pity on these souls and helps them to reincarnate in higher worlds 🙏🙏
