    A 300 is all the bike the majority of riders should every purchase. Why? because most riders are not nor will they ever be skilled enough to handle a more powerful bike. A less powerful bike is as lot more forgiving to rookie mistakes. Just because you can purchase a 600-1000-1400 does not mean you should. IF you really need that bike you are only going to be able to enjoy it on the racetrack legal.

    I recently picked up a 2020 CBR300R. I've been riding for many years, took some time off, and just got back into it. The 300 is a nice bike. Smooth and plenty fast enough for me. I don't want speed, just something to commute every once in a while. I think this gets lost sometimes, because most people just want to classify this as 'beginner'.

    Bigger back tire will slow the handling down; just did it on my ‘Grom clone’ 150, was twitchy before going to a 140-70-12.

    only 16 and really interested in getting a bike later on when I am older, already set my eyes on this one. however the kawasaki ninja 400 also seems really similar to this bike.

      Same I'm 17 probably getting my endorsement this year that's my goal at least, love Hondas just from experience with dirtbikes and quads but I gotta check out kawasaki

      Ninja 400 is much stronger than this bike, but i recommend you buy the new cbr500r instead of ninja 400, everything on that bike is better than the ninja except the weight. But if u got good physique, r7 or cbr650r are best choices for you

    Great video dude. I would love to have that bike to learn on. I had dirt bikes growing up, but no street experience.

      I know from riding dirt bikes that if you ride a bigger bike than you need - your just trying to manage the power and not crash. Not very fun.

      The experience from dirt translates to the street no doubt, 2 wheels is 2 wheels 🤷‍♂️. All bikes weigh the same when your moving. Just have to up the attentiveness when riding on the street, there’s about 1 million more cars on the road lol.

    I think I’d rather listen to a single than a typical twin.

    Do you know the differences between the 2018 and 2019 cbr300r? I'm trying to get the LV10 exhaust but the lowest year compatible is marked 2019 but i have a feeling that it might fit

    • @throttleholic99
      @throttleholic99  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If I’m not mistaken, the bike itself is the same., just the body style has changed over the last few years. Anything that will fit on a 2019 will fit on the 2018 no doubt 👌 especially the exhaust. I have an SC projects exhaust on my bike and it was listed for a 2018 as well. And mine is a 2019. Hope this helps 👍

    Would the 300 be a better option than the 500? I have experience on a clutch, just not so much with street bikes

    • @gbart7857
      @gbart7857 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I started on the cbr300r and had fun with it, have moved into bigger bikes but haven't been able to part with the 300. But if you're reasonably coordinated or have done any riding previously (i.e. dirt) you might be better served by a 500. I wish I had started with a 500 for the smoother twin cylinders, it would have been manageable and I might not have bothered to "upgrade". I still would love to have a cb500x--if I did it again that's what I would start on. 750+ bikes are a rush, but for most riding you use only 30-50hp at most anyway unless you are outright crazy or at the track every weekend.

    I’ve been riding birtbikes for like 8 years and before I get a street bike I still have 3 years and I was looking into getting either this bike or the 600 with eight years of dirtbike experience should I get the 600 or should I just get the 300 to get used to get used to street bikes

    • @throttleholic99
      @throttleholic99  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I will always recommend getting a smaller street bike to learn on., translating from dirt bikes ensures you know how to shift and ride, but the balance, the weight, and the riding mechanics are completely different.!

      Might not make sense now, but the 300 will be more fun, Grom might be even more fun. ( depends where you ride really )

      I rode on the highway all the time. Top speed with me was about 110mph. Which is plenty to ride on highways.
