Actually, you are dead wrong Star Wars Theory. There were a LOT of other users of the Shatterpoint ability though I will agree that none had mastered the power as much as Mace. Other users include Luke Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, Cade Skywalker, Darth Krayt and Satele Shan.
I remember Anakin Skywalker telling Palpatine that he wanted to be as wise a Yoda and as Powerful as Windu, that right there tells you how powerful Mace Windu was.
Wasn't that him in Attack of the Clones comparing Obi-Wan to Yoda and Windu?

Andrew M. Roots it was more of an honorary title. Yet, this comparison gave way to understand who held supreme combative power in the Order. Who was top dawg? It was Mace Windu.
This was easily overlooked bcuz the vast majority of the fan base always thought it was Yoda. This one line further established the non debatable lore of Mace Windu as The Supreme Warrior throughout The Entire Jedi Order.

Ahhh, I love it when the Force endows a single individual with one unique and inimitable gift. Yes, shatterpoint was a grand power, in the right hands. George was right to comment that Mace whipped Sidious' ass as opposed to it being a rigged duel.
That was these Haters pulling complete Illogical B.S out of their azzes about Mace Vs Sidious until George Lucas shut that B S down (some still try to sell still) because they didn't want to say Mace Windu is obviously the G.O.A.T Jedi outside of Luke.
The whole idea that Sidious would purposely take a L and look totally pitiful in comparison to Mace Windu because he can turn Anakin to the Darkside is ridiculous.
This is the same Sidious who look at the Jedi as inferior in every way and been selling to Anakin for years that the Darkside is so much better than what the Jedi can teach, but in this fight he wants his next Apprentice to see him totally getting schooled by Mace Windu and lose? Now how that help his image in Anakin eyes?
Sidious getting totally embarrassed by Mace Windu is the reason Anakin as soon as he turn to the Darkside immediately believed he would soon easily kill Sidious and take his place as Emperor base on seeing Sidious get his azz kicked.
Also anyone saying Sidious wanted to take the L in front of Anakin because Anakin could eventually turn to the darkside. Real News Alert! Anakin already chose the Darkside as soon as he chose to come there and truly came there to help Sidious (Duh). Reason why Mace Windu said Anakin would've earned his trust if he doesn't come because he felt he was a Traitor.

No, Sidious beat Yoda. We don't even see how the lightsaber part ended, we see them fighting and then the next scene Palpatine is throwing those seating platforms at Yoda. The Emperor's lightning was too much for Yoda to contain, unlike when he absorbed Dooku's, and the shock blasted him off. Sidious fell back but didn't get thrown completely off the platform.
@@hailtheheroful he did beat Sidious in lightsaber combat. It states that in the novelization of the movie and it's also been stated by George Lucas several times. Yoda disarmed Sidious who then resorts to using force powers, ie) Sith lightning. He absorbed some of Sidious' lightning then started to reflect it back with pretty much equal force and that is why the "explosion" occurred. Yoda being smaller and also on the edge of the platform with a huge drop below fell down into the depths of the chamber whereas Sidious fell back into the seats. At that point Yoda knew he could not win, he was tired, lost the high ground and also was aware that clone troopers were on the way to back Sidious up. He knew he had to retreat or die. This has all been either described in the book and/or by the man Lucas himself. Cheers!
Its obvious yoda dominated the whole fight with sidous even the lightning he reflected back if you can't see that you either don't know a thing about fighting and so are ignorant to his actually winning a fight or you weren't paying attention in the film
Yoda won the saber fight but lost the overall battle when it came down to force power showdown
That's one thing I always point out about the battle between Mace Windu & Palpatine: Mace WIndu WON it.
I don't buy what George Lucas said. Anakin knew Windu was going to confront Palpatine and that he wouldn't step down willingly, and because Palpatine planted the fear of him losing Padme and telling him knew how to save her, he knew Anakin would come to keep him from being killed. Palpatine was manipulating everything from the start, and the Dark Side clouded the Jedi's judgement. I'm sure Windu's "shatterpoint" skill was useful, but they were all dancing to Palpatine's ruse. If Windu is considered to have won, it's because Palpatine allowed it to happen.

Shatterpoint was a Dark side ability mace used as his "super power". It allowed him to see opponents weak points. And I dont think he needed a throat shot to get through the armor
@@johnmealer62 it doesn't have to be a dark side ability, both side users were known to have it because it needs exreme concentration and not anything usually considered dark side like anger.

I love how there’s always a made up fantasy about the characters... Mace Windu uses the dark side, that’s why his lightsaber is Purple. Luke is a powerful Jedi, that’s why he has a green lightsaber... when the reality is Luke’s lightsaber was made green because blue would have blended in with the blue screen during the tattooine scene in Return of the Jedi and Samuel L Jackson just wanted a purple lightsaber lol.

Shatterpoint was one of my favorite novels! The way that ability is described in the book is amazing...it is definitely the most unique and arguably, the most useful against a Sith, of all the Force Powers!

Reading about his Shatter point, in the Revenge of the Sith novelization was SO awesome. When he realized that Anakin was the shatterpoint of the entire galaxy was chilling.

Sounds more like a spiderweb of all the possibilities of any one moment in time, due to the will of the Force and knowing which thread to attach yourself to than Jenga and knowing just about what to attack. Because he describes it as seeing shattered glass. Shattered glass is like a network of threads or web.

I do know the name, but despite how likely it seems, it is not guaranteed that everybody here would. The trilogies don't name it after all. And I honestly forgot about Vader's demonstrations of the ability -- Yoda's just felt more iconic. :)
I'm not going to lie... Seeing Yoda just absorb that lightning back into the force still excites me! I think that was the first time I was impressed by a force power.
Mace Windu was “that guy” he was on a whole new level. Yoda was number 1, Windu surpassed Yoda’s level thru combat vs Palpatine . Unfortunately his victory was short lived. I always felt Dooku vs Anakin was a bit too short. There was a lot going on in that fight, that contributed to Anakins win over The Count. I always wanted to see Mace vs Dooku. I also wanted to know, if Mace had gone up against Dooku in Attack Of The Clones, how he would win. Would it be faster than Anakin’s win? Based on Windu’s comment, it appears that Windu could’ve dispatched of Dooku, similarly to how he beat Jango Fett. Not the be heading, but the principle of being able to take Dooku out in 2 moves or less. Personally I’d love to have seen these two go at it.
Feel like you missed a big opportunity in “Jenga Fett”... 😂
They should’ve had Mace Windu in Battlefront 2 and had “shatter point” as one of his 3 or 4 force abilities. They missed out on that for sure.

If I remember correctly, Cade Skywalker (a descendent of Luke from Legends) had a similar ability too. He could see the weak points of a person in the Force and use it to either heal that person or kill him.
Shatterpoint is probably the best ability to have, and it's a shame that more Jedi didn't have it. Just a thought, but what if the ability was granted to Mace because he was destined to be as strong as he was in the Force, in addition to his specific background, being that his people were naturally able to use the Dark Side of the Force?

Some Jedi knew if Mace Technique however they couldn't control it. If you ask me That very Techniques was destined to him. Mace could've improved his skills a lot more.
He ain't the *only* one, just the one who got furthest into it. Kreia, Jacen, Luke, and Jaina could all use it to a degree as well.

It sounds like a metaphor for how a fighter reads their opponent during a fight. Striking, blocking, counter attacking while looking for openings. Being enhanced by The Force as well as Jedi training giving him insight into the nature of reality is pretty incredible. I just wish he hadn't stood in front of the window after defeating Palpatine.

I don’t really get it , what I took from that was you can see your opponents weaknesses and strengths, so you attack at his most vulnerable place. But my question is what does he attack at. His physical lightsaber combat or does he attack at his force abilities. I would really like to know
Depends on the shatter point. It might be a physical weakness, and he attacks in a way to exploit it. It could be something he can use in the terrain.
That's the thing though. Not all of them are the same. They are as unique as the situation itself. It's not always going to be the throat for Jango for instance. It would change every time.
He could see the "strings" and binding of the Force in the world, and had the unique ability or trait to see how he could use them to his advantage.
Its like a supped up version of percognition. Instead of just seeing what was about to play out, Windu understood why it was happening, and what he could do about it to get what he wanted.
Which is a dark side tactic. The Jedi believe in following the will of the force. Fate and destiny in a sense. The dark side advocates doing what you want when you want. And if you have enough power, you could make the universe give it to you.
When he encountered grievous he used shatter point to crush his whole body instantly it depends because it shows him what to do
I'm not a star wars expert by any stretch of the imagination but "shatter point" to me sounds like the one place and/or time that one could strike to destroy ones target.

Luke Skywalker was noted in legends for his mastery of shatterpoint. Secretly though, Darth Jar Jar is OP and had all the force powers.
I think force sense is the most useful in everyday life and in fights.
You should make a what if video for: what if Jar Jar was never found by qui gon, what if Luke had not given up on Ben Solo what if the rebels had not found the world between worlds.

I believe Mace managed to disarm Palpatine fair and square. That being said, Palpatine could have killed Mace at any point with Force lightning and was playing things up for Anakin. The Novel reaffirms this, showing that as Mace was holding off the Force lightning, it was literally bending his lightsaber back to his face to decapitate him.

Actually, you are dead wrong Star Wars Theory. There were a LOT of other users of the Shatterpoint ability though I will agree that none had mastered the power as much as Mace. Other users include Luke Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, Cade Skywalker, Darth Krayt and Satele Shan.

The Dark Transfer is not in itself the main Shatterpoint ability, but let's say its a sub power of the greater tree that is Shatterpoint. An insanely powerful application of the technique. But its intended and original use, I'd say Mace was still the best followed by Legends Luke and the Solo Twins. Caedus could destroy mandalorian armor by simply hitting the armor with the hilt of his lightsaber.
I still don't see how Mace was that good at it considering it really hasn't helped nearly to the same degree as others considering he couldn't do it against other force wielders while Krayt and Cade could and Krayt did it to Cade who knew shatterpoint as well also why isn't Cade and Krayt on the same level as the twins Cade destroyed a sith talisman and both did it against force wielders
