Well done Sean, some big days in there, great achievement. I first walked it as a rookie in March, 1998, in heavy rain, mud and snow. Some freezing nights! Atb from a fellow woolly back.
Thanks Brian👍I did start off getting cheap gear and realised unfortunately most expensive gear is the best I.e. tent, sleeping bag, mat. And I’m glad I have the good gear as I can rely on it, especially when the going gets tough in winter👍
I've got both the Hilleberg Soulo RL also have the 10mm poles for it and the Abisko Lite 2 which are great tents. Like yourself i've tried taking short cuts with gear but in the end you only get what you pay for......
Well done mate and thanks for sharing your adventure 🏴👍🏻👌⛰️,btw the big mountain seen near kingshouse is called Buachaille etive mor we were there last friday on way to end of glen etive 👍🏻all the best ... colin and theresa .
When you were standing on Conic hill on morning 2 and you said "today I'm heading to Beinglas" I thought wow that's quite a walk knowing what the north of the loch is like. To make that in 2 days you really need to be well up the loch day 1 . Hindsight is wonderful though , well done on making it though its never a dead cert that you'll make it the whole way anything can happen
Thanks for watching👍yes my plans before the walked certainly changed on the days of the walk. Plus, I wanted to spend more time on the loch and not rushing it👍
Hi Ross, thanks. The weather isn’t always great if sunny, tbh I’d of preferred clouds at times. Especially the longer distance days. I’d of loved some rain🤣. Thanks for watching👍
Did it last year in the august with one of me daughters for charity ,it nearly seen me off lol especially the last day it absolutely pee down ,but glad we did it ,would do it again but would take it over more days ,we did it in 5 ,or I might have a day off walking i between, well done
@ if it wasn’t for me daughter I be honest and say I would not have finished it she kept me going ,and because we was doing it for Birmingham children’s hospital kept me going as well,it is beautiful up there though ,I’m doing another trek in March for same charity with my daughter again in the Sahara desert 70 miles ,from one extreme to another lol,
Tyndrum to Kinlochleven is probably the best part scenery wise. I hope it’s a nice day with no midgies. Good luck with the rest of the walk. Thanks for watching👍
That’s an epic hike mate well done, fancy doing this one myself maybe end of summer or next year. Lots of useful information on where to stay and eat etc. nice one mate, ⛰️🏕️
Well done mate ! You mentioned Blackwater reservoir , back in 2007 me and Baz stayed in a bothy at Loch Chiarain and the next day headed to Kinlochleven via Blackwater , we crossed over the dam wall 👍 very remote , great video mate
Sounds like a good adventure👍it’s something I’ll have to look into. Seeing Corrour on the train on the way back, looks awesome, and the reservoir you went to looked amazing. Was great to meet you guys👍
Well done on your adventure , we’re not far from we live near the power station 🤣 We completed it in April and we loved every minute , defo shouldn’t be underestimated. . Subbed to follow more of your adventures 👍keep up the good work
🤣thanks pal. Learn from my mistake. Make the most of the majority of honesty boxes in the first half of the way. Because there’s not as many on the other half. Enjoy your walk👍
Hi Sean, driving from Tarporley to Glasgow in the morning (24 October) to start the WHW early afternoon. Wild camping ⛺️ similar to yourself over 7 days. I’m sat here with my Bergen debating whether I should remove my so called X-lite camping chair to lighten my load (1.5kg). With such beauty to admire in the evenings I’d like to be comfortable 🤔😵💫. Curious if you knew the weight of your pack (I assume you had batteries to carry). Great video fella which I found useful as a plan.🤩👏
Hi mate, thanks for watching. I don’t know the weight but I’d say it was around 15kg. And this was heavy. But yes I had a drone, camera’s and batteries so your chair may still be under that weight. I think it’s nice to be able to take some luxuries. And if it’s too heavy, I’d suggest taking it or something out and leaving it at a hotel/pub/ campsite along the way, and drive back for it if you have the time. Train stations are close to the route as well as main roads, so your never to far away from a place to leave it and pick it up later. Hope that helps👍. Enjoy
Just watching your video ahead of starting WHW on Saturday. Where did you get your bottle holder that's strapped to your shoulder strap? Been looking to get one !

Well done for doing it in 5 days👍. Good going that. I think it’s better to slowly take more sights in if it means doing it slower👍

@@kevinjackson6387 fair play mate. I admire you for that. And all for charity which is amazing. Hope it goes well. Stay safe👍
Hi Sean, the mountain you refer to as Stob Dearg is actually the Buachaille Etive Mor, Stob Dearg is the name of one of its summits.
Thanks, a few have pointed this out. I should’ve researched mountain names as well as everything else. A stunner though👍
Awesome mate. I'll find the sword for you 😊
Haha get your metal detector on it👍
Well done. I did this in April but baled out Kingshouse. I am going back in September to finish what I started.
Tyndrum to Kinlochleven is probably the best part scenery wise. I hope it’s a nice day with no midgies. Good luck with the rest of the walk. Thanks for watching👍

@@TheWoollybackwalker thanks Sean 😊

Cracking video mate, watched a lot of WHW videos on TH-cam over past cpl years.
Looking to do WHW next year , well I said that last year 🫣.
Thanks for watching. It’s definitely a walk you should do depending on what time of year you do it. After Bridge of Orchy the scenery is amazing👌
