Just finished walking the Camino from SJPP to Santiago earlier this month. Planning on walking West Highland Way in 2026, so looking forward to your journey
Hey! Just found your new series. Looking forward to watching your new journey…well done! One comment from today’s video (I know it’s too late for this series). When you guys talk about the Frances, remember, you walked out of season. Your comments about food avails are wrong. I never once had to buy food from a vending machine. There is delicious (opinion) food and amazing coffee everywhere beginning in early to mid - April. You guys were just crazy early ( by choice i know) but just a different food experience which was self imposed..😂. Anyway, love you both. Love your energy, positivity and dude, you’ve dropped some weight ! Looking like a bad ass!
My husband and I live in South Carolina now but we have a van we use on weekends for trips. I’ve been watching Valhalla for years since they started in a van and also saw her Camino and west highland way videos. I’ve been wanting to do the Camino for years but probably need to wait to be able to get that much time off from work. It’s made me interested in the west highland way. Gotta talk the hisbabd into it. I would love to hear more about how/why you decided to walk the Camino and west highland way etc.
Unfortunately there is no deep reason as to why we decided to do these treks. I have been wanting to experience parts of the world in a different way, and I’m done saying “I’ll wait until I retire.” We are still in good health, so the time is now. Thanks for watching .
@@RecksTreks thank you. I asked because I also am drawn to doing the Camino but no big specific reason. Hopefully I can make this happen because waiting until I retire also doesn’t resonate with me. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’ve watched all your videos and am loving your comparisons between the WHW and the camino. I live in Australia but come originally from West Coast Scotland. I walked the camino May 2024 SJ to Leon and plan to return to walk to Santiago. Got plans to walk the WHW also at some point so loving all your observations. Hope Scotland’s weather is kind to you for the remainder of the walk! 👍
Yay, you're back. First I watched the Tour De France, then the Olympics and now it's time for Recks Treks. What a trifecta. Life is good, cheers!
Excited to follow along on the next adventure!! ❤

Buen Camino. WHW was incredible, both very unique experiences
Followed your Camino after I'd just completed it. Delighted you're on WHW now. I come from Milngavie and walked it 1989.

Thanks for the comments and following along. I was actually the same weight as on the Camino. Possible I trimmed up a bit though.

Looking forward to following your next journey.
Even with waterproof shoes I'm not sure I could help at least trying to avoid the puddles.
She got a little over confident
I kept telling Jason to watch my “tricks” as I BLASTED through the mud and the puddles!🤣
@@RecksTreksshe did. Then her feet were damp.😂
