    Thanks to this video my daughter and I were prepared when our first wholesale client came to us today! A local seller of Vegan gift baskets wants our product in her assortment of goodies. Jerika taught us to not undersell our standard price (and we listened), so that when you want to do a wholesale deal you're still doing well enough on your profit to make it worth while. Our website has only been live for 48 hours and we are selling like crazy already! (wholesale customer was only going to buy 10 to start, but our deal was qty of 25 with 42% discount...on any variety of our choosing). THANKYOU Jerika for your experience and invaluable information. We LOVE you. Melanie and Kira - in Winnipeg

    Great advice! I have had one wholesale order and it was so much work. I think it was something around 300 sample bars. The payment in full plus payment for shipping is important for me as well! I know when I started my little shop I wasn't expecting as many wholesale inquiries as I get.

      You can definitely do that! That was a part of our original plan, but we found vending at our local farmer's markets and doing events really helped with us getting connected with local shops that wanted to hold our product. This is probably not the best way, but I make a batch, and then if I run out, I wait until someone orders them then I make more. I HATE holding a lot of inventory... So when a wholesale customer orders, I literally make all of those bath bombs fresh.

    Interesting. Wholesalers make more profit in the product than the soap seller. $8.00 bar of soap is sold to them at $4.00. You have to deduct your time & expenses from your $4.00 share so they end up making a greater profit.

    • @JerikaZimmerman
      @JerikaZimmerman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is true which is why you really need to think about whether or not wholesale is for you. And you need to understand how much everything costs you and how much profit you want to make it worth it. Costs times four for retail must include ALL your expenses including all the overhead and your time.
