  • Welcome to the Sought channel! In this video, I'll be reviewing the Xbox Elite Controller 2 and sharing my experience with it.
As a frequent user of this controller, I can say that there are some great things about it. Firstly, the comfort level is amazing with a rubbery finish and mappable paddles in perfect positions for my hands. Speaking of the paddles, they are incredibly useful for a range of games and the process of mapping them is straightforward.
Another great feature is the stick tension, which allows for customization depending on your gaming preferences. This is particularly useful for games that require a delicate touch or precision control. Additionally, the almost mouse click triggers are a nice touch and can provide an advantage in first-person shooter games.
However, the most important thing to consider before getting an Xbox Elite Controller 2 is the manufacturing quality. Unfortunately, I've had four of these controllers in less than three years due to various issues such as faulty bumpers and stick drift. This has been a huge disappointment for me, and I can't help but feel frustrated that these controllers don't last as long as they should.
Despite this, I still recommend the Xbox Elite Controller 2 for its great features and customization options. If you do decide to purchase one, I suggest buying new controllers and getting an extended warranty for added peace of mind.

I'm not buying another one of these until they come with Hall Effect sensors. I had to return 5 in a row that had stick drift out of the box.

Not sure this would come to elite 3, that is rumoured to release this year.
There is a way to buy elite controller and resided the Hall effect joysticks, but just replacement part are around 50$

Im betting its the case. I got one with a 2 year warranty. Mine is fine but I did notic the case depresses the thumb sticks. If you compress a spring long enough it will change shape a bit. They sit on shelves for months or even years inside that case with the sticks pressed.

Sometimes it is caused by dust coming inside and the potentiometer not reading data correctly.

@@Soughts on a brand new controllers in the box though?

@@KID_CHAMELEON Stick drift is usually caused by 2 problems.
1 - Dirty potentiometer that is causing incorrect data.
2 - Board problems this is just poor QC, and has no solution for fixing at all.
From my knowledge, there are no other reasons for stick drift in a controller that was in proper condition and not hited the wall before.

Sad to hear. I remapped RB and LB to paddles as a temporary solution, while waiting for the new elite.

Do you have a good secret to make them last more than few months?

Actually no, just getting an extended warranty.

No, I am fed up with it . There is a chronic problem with the responsiveness of the face buttons . Microsoft is yet to address it and yet to admit it. I will never buy again any "Elite" controller for my Xbox. The retail controller seems to be way more reliable.
      Thanks!.

@@cod4787 absolutely the not-elite version has much fewer problems. I personally never had an issue with a normal controller. You might try Scuf, but the price is at least double there.

@@Soughts I will just stick to the normal controller and go on with my gaming life. 😃
