Faith and the Mayor’s relationship was one of the sweetest in TV history. I mean, you know, aside from all the murderin and stuff.

Oh this finale! The Columbine shooting had just happened in 1999 so after you watch this episode you will understand why the WB network pulled this conclusion off the air, so we had to wait months to see the conclusion. You are so lucky to be able to binge it and to go straight from that cliffhanger on to the second part. (Well I guess Belinda mostly)

There's nothing like that moment when all the Sunnydale students pull off their graduation robes and every single one of them is ready for battle. The first time I saw the episode, I got teary and was all hyped up for the moment, and it still gets to me! I love this finale so much.

one of the best season of any tv show, the quality improved and the characters were fantastic. Even if i love adult development and characters writting then, this season is my fave. But the foir next are something, enjoy it

Also I just wanted to mention the mayor (Harry Groenig) being in Oppenheimer one of the forefront prestige movies of the year. It’s always awesome seeing Buffy actors pop up especially in something like that.

RIP Larry and Snyder, taken from us too soon. They could have just knocked Larry out rather than kill him.
Credit Xander though for telling Buffy that Angel survived the battle, certainly better than his "kick his ass" lie in last seasons finale.

Bufy, like a lot of horror, (see those German expressionist horror films), plays with doppelangars (and the uncanny) via contrast and similarity. The mayor is kind of a double of Giles (at is long been clear that he is Faith's surrogate father) just as AltWillow and AltXander are doubles of Willow and Xander, Buffy is a kind of double of Kendra and Faith, and Cordelia and Anya are kind of doppelgangers of each other...And Faith, kind of redeeming herself, gives Buffy some of her slayer power and some critical information...

So many elements in this episode. The Buffy/Faith coma interaction with the cryptic foreshadowing and a sane(?) Faith, Snyder carrying on the tradition of principals being eaten, the entire class coming together and key supporting characters being brought back for specific cameos, laying groundwork for Buffy's season4 self-proclaimed "arch nemesis". So much to love and nothing to hate except Larry's death☠️😢
Can't believe that season 3 is already done ,it went so fast :0 happy we get to see an Angel reaction :) cant wait :P
My fav Harry Groener moment besides that one star trek episode is him roaring FIND HER to that vamp. Aww he did care
I meant to ask this sooner, but are there going to be _Angel the Show_ reactions on TH-cam? I'm assuming so with the _see you soon_ visual, but I can't guarantee. I don't do Patreon because I watch too many reactions to do so and keep a paycheck for important things, so for me it's all TH-cam. And if you do Angel the Show reactions on TH-cam, will the trailers be for the next video or the next video of the show because the universe has a watch order?
"Find them!!!" is my favorite non-humorous Mayor moment. It ties so well into the fact that he cares about her in a way that goes against what many fans have been consider him to be towards Faith until now. He cares about Faith, but he's still a soulless human who used her. It's why his character was so fascinating.
In true Scooby fashion, the group judge Angel for something he fought Buffy on aka biting Buffy and her forcing him to drain her to cure the poison, then the group lies to Buffy about why Angel left the hospital. It doesn't matter what it appears to be to them. What matters, is the group should have learned from their mistakes in judgement back in _Dead Man's Party_ and _Revelation._
Xander, Anthony Stewart Heard destroyed that stereotype of tea vs coffe and the Brittish before he was on BtVS when he did those coffee commercials. 😁🤣
A thin metaphor of Buffy getting the big O while Angel's draining her. Or so some of the crew said.
Armin Shimerman (the actor who played Snyder) saw it coming, as well. He said of course I'm dying because it's the characters graduation.

While I agree with the whole it's all been Angel's decision, I think a large part of that in this case goes back to the fact that Buffy is underage, a "swoony little schoolgirl," and doesn't want to comprehend all the issues because she is just thinking about the fact that lust means love, like all kids her age. Angel had to be the adult to make the hard decision. And even he needed the push of realization from Joyce, The Mayor, and Buffy's doodles of _Buffy&Angel4Ever._

I haven't totally decided what to do with the Angel reactions yet. 🤦♀Uploading them to YT has always been the plan, but I've since learned that there are other options. Such as, making the full reactions available to whoever wants to watch them on Patreon. They are already done, so I won't have to edit them down for YT. Saves me a ton of time. And there are a lot of Buffy fans that don't even watch Angel. So, I'm torn atm. But I've already implied that they will be uploaded here so... maybe I should at least try it for a season.
If I do decide to edit them down for YT, I'll just add the trailer for the next of that show. Adding the trailer for the next will just confuse me. I'm bound to mess that up. lol
I was always a little sad that the Mayor was killed. Even tho he was a big snake. I loved him as a villain. Could've done with more of him. Adam just isn't as compelling. I can't wait for Bel to see what happens with Faith!

An award for it yes, for the best? Best/worst kiss ever, like Kakistos! Kissing really badly ever on TV(aka, Bygone Era, ± picture that moved in a tube, but not too much by then).
The Mayor clearly loved Faith as daughter, however unhealthily. She was truly desperate for belonging and guidance. Every adult in her life failed her, from her alky mother to the entire Watcher's Council. She was left to raise herself(like the cat in the dream sequence). She lived in a drug/whore motel, with no visible means of support(how-exactly-did she eat and pay rent?) and no one lifted a finger. Just the way to handle a 17 year old hormone bomb with superpowers. And who is a priceless asset(one of precisely two) in an all out war against the forces of darkness.
Even Giles contributed to that monumental fuckup.
Wilkins immediately got her a very nice apartment, took her places(lame places, sure. Miniature Golf, ice cream and Icees.) but most importantly he spent time with her and appreciated her as she perceived herself.
A skilled killer.
He probably missed having a family. The mayor had a family at one time in the past. Like one hundred years ago. Maybe he had to sacrifice his own daughter to earn his favors from the demons?
Yeah, Faith just needed someone who cared about her. Gwendolyn Post used that to twist her and turn her against the others early on. The difference with the Mayor is that he genuinely cared about her and saw her as a daughter. She needed that.
That doctor saying there's almost no chance for Faith to recover - I don't think he knows about Slayer healing, so there's a chance... 🤞

Awesome finale, but man I'll miss Snyder and the Mayor.
Look forward to you both watching Angel if you wish. Angel is an amazing show in its own right, you will love it. Anyway getting on to Graduation Day Part 2. It was a brilliant final episode to a near flawless season. Snyder's quote class of 99 ' you proved more or less adequate' a great quote. Cordelia and Wesley's kiss cringing! Farewell to the High School Years but there is even better to come. We lost Larry and Snyder and of course Harmony got bitten. When Buffy said to Angel said 'Drink Me' a homage to Alice In Wonderland, they always make reference to classic films in Buffyverse like when they saw the size of Demon The Mayor was going to change into in part one referencing Jaws 'we're gonna need a bigger boat'. If you are going to watch Angel, it is important to watch both shows in correct watch order as the crossover plots with BTVS S4 will make more sense. You will love Angel it's a much darker show, the very best episodes of that show are more than a match for BTVS. Enjoy S4 of BTVS and Angel. Great reaction again.

I may be in the minority but here's me hoping you two will continue straight through Buffy and not alternate back and forth with Angel.😅
I like Angel, it's just at this point I'm invested in Buffy more and when reactors decide to do it that way, it takes foreeeeeeverrr to get through S4 to S5 & 6 and I might not get to see Bel see OMWF until like 2025!😭😂
