I take the rm85 out for its first ride on video. I don't do anything crazy in this video. Just trying to get a feel for the basic controls of the bike.
Thing sounds like it's running great. I still think a 125 is gonna be the bike you will end up with one day. Perfect size and speed but that 85 will be fine. 2 smoker!
I have got to ask man, what go pro are you using and if you don't mind sharing what resolution and settings? I absolutely cannot get my go pro to look this good when I ride

When you hit the bumps stand up on the pegs or any dirt bike will throw you off. You call it “power band”, old dirt bikers called it “getting on the pipe (expansion chamber) . Seriously, ride a lot standing on the pegs. It’s how you control the bike in the bumps. Watch some moto cross racers. They are up almost up all the time. It so much safer than sitting on the seat.

All the gears are turning all the time at the right speed except when you have to stop, that’s all the clutch lever is for. You think it’s a kick in the pony’s now, run it up on that pipe a little more until you feel it losing a tiny amount of HP and snap your toe up and just back the throttle of a tiny tiny bit b4 the shift. Now you will a kick in the ass. Next year get the 150, then the 250 and if you don’t kill your self go to a 400 or 500, then you will kill your self. Dirt bike and moto X riders when matched up with F1 riders on a mixed course kick ass. Dirt and moto X are always near death experiences if done right.
Only use clutch for downshifting taking of or coasting. No need to use when up shifting. Nice bike. You'll be wanting that 250 back by the end of the season lol.
Funny watching a grown man ride a kid's bike. They are fun though. My bother had a worked kx80 when we were kids and it was legit fast, especially when ridden by a 60-pound punk.

And stop using the clutch to shift. It’s annoying you use it for taking off and braking not for shifting gears.

I think you mean to only use clutch for up shifting and no clutch for down shifting? If you aren't using clutch to up shift you WILL break something.
