Here is what most are missing. And I could be wrong but highly doubt it. Oscar’s buddy was not just panicking because of the injury. He was scared to take him to the hospital. He told him in Spanish, “If you don’t get up they will take you to the hospital and you know you can’t go there.” Oscar was probably undocumented and his buddy feared the questions that would arise at the hospital and was trying to drive that point home without being obvious. He led Oscars answers to the questions and tried to play it off as nothing major. The hospital probably wouldn’t have questioned or reported his undocumented status but it’s a risk many people here illegally are not willing to take. His friend was telling him to get up or that he was gonna get taken to the hospital, as soon as he said hospital he instantly tried to get up. I feel for the guy because he prioritized his legal status over his safety , I know because I used to be in the same situation when I was younger. Never going to the hospital when I was injured because of the fear of being deported or racking up a bill with no health insurance. I hope buddy made it out okay. Good job on your end bud.
Its probably because going to the hospital in the U.S basically means bankruptcy or life long debt. U.S health care system is worse than some "third world" countries.
Dealt with something similar a while back. Dude got knockout for like 10 minutes. We rushed to the van. I was rigth behind him. He was going a bit fast and hit a small wooden stump and his bike threw him away. He was okay after some exams and ready to go home but what a scare. You did awesome bud, I've had to deal with similar shit, sadly unconscious people do look dead when you roll up on them. This brings back bad memories but keyboard warriors need to know that this is what can happen and making good decisions helps the injured the most (I had to get help and leave them both, no phone coverage, like you I was thankful the campground was close and I went crazy and got help)
Man ive seen dudes slumped over dirt bikes nasty Af making weird noises, we all seen this before. It sure makes me want to pack up and stick to running ultras.
Kudos to you for immediately turning around to check on the guy, then going for help. I've seen crashes similar to that where i stopped like you did and others just blew past without even slowing down basically like they're saying "Sucks to be you, not my problem". Helmet off to you bro 👍👍👍👍
Dude the guy that was shaking him did almost everything wrong. I knew that when the camera guy got back to the injured guy something else would be wrong, like he already had the guy sitting up moving his neck around. You reacted very well most of the time people panic and don't act accordingly you being calm allowed you to get help faster and handle the situation great job respect bro.
i woulda sent it through the pits just the same man, this hit me in the feels haha. One time some kid was laying under his bike with the throttle pinned ontop of him & the pipe burning into his thigh, i ripped that shit off & sent it just as hard to the EMT's . you're an angel bro
I had been through the same thing, went to sleep, woke up not knowing where i got the gear i was wearing " because it was new and lost the memory " broke my collar bone didnt even notice untill 30 mins after i started to walk around, laughed a bit at first about being so out of it but as i was being driven to the hospital my head was swelling and i started to pass out again and vomited inside the truck, woke up in the hospital bed, bad concussions are very very scary , it took me a few days to remember where i got the new red fox gear i was wearing, i said it was ugly as hell who put this gear on me.
So glad I live in a country with free healthcare. I've had 3 big dirt bike crashes, spent weeks in hospital, numerous surgerys. NEVER COST ME A CENT. 🇦🇺
@@Moto_Mills Straight away. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of my time in hospital. It really is such a privilege. The only reason people get private healthcare here is so they can choose their own doctor for surgery etc amongst a few other reasons but I think it's a waste of money. That's not to say there can't be waiting times on non urgent surgery but I'm ok with that.
I guess Oscar's friend must work in a place where they don't provide any safety training... Everything he was doing was literally the last thing you should ever think about doing unless you want to paralyzed someone... 😳
As a current EMT I can the way he was tossed around could have made a really bad day worse!. He needed EMS to strap him to a backboard w/C-Collar while maintaining his airway. By lifting his head and pushing forward not only could he have caused significant spinal damage he also could have closed his airway. Obviously, there was no one trained on the scene to take appropriate care of him so i would put zero blame on his buddy and fellow riders.
Nice handling from you, if anyone falls hard always consider spine or neck injury, keep them stable as you can and make sure they dont choke on their tongue if they get knocked out
No matter the hobby community, I love that people look out for each other...stronger in the hobbies we enjoy unfortunately than in our actual communities.
My dad had an very simular situation the day before this video was published. It was really scary expecially because it was only me(17) and my little sister(10) with my dad out on a very small mountain in very hard terrain. And my little sister panicked so was really hard for me to calm her down meanwhile my dad laying down and shaking and being passed out.
I was in a similar situation last month. I passed out for about 15 minutes but all I had was abrasions and a concussion. I asked liked 20 times what happened 😅
The kid on the bike who got help was amazing. The kid shaking him just completely panicked and could have paralyzed him easily. But the gray haired guy in the black shirt that though he was performing a patient assessment could have paralyzed him too. Every single thing he did from the time he got there was the opposite of what common sense is.
Ok I was a firefighter emt for 17yrs . That young man had a bad concussion and needed to go to the hospital for a CT scan. NEVER move the patient or allow anyone to move them until the patient is fully awake and alert . From what I seen he was never fully alert and oriented. Remember treat like it’s the worst until the medical staff get there or the patient can’t coherently speak

😂😂😂😂... I know that was a terrible feeling
They had this vibe like they were upset he woke up or some shit too. They still moved his head around like 19 extra times. No water or anything. At that just let him chill on a stretcher until hes ready. Give the guy a minute.
Definitely a scary situation. You handled it well. Glad dude is okay.
Side note, you were rippin boo. 🔥
Thanks babe. Glad dude walked it off too. His neck probably hurt more than his shoulder the next day 🤣
Ummmm
@@Moto_Mills people walk away from these things all the time only to die later in the day because of negligent first responders like you and the track worker.
Great example of staying calm under pressure! Very inspiring.
❤️🙏🏻 Thank you
Im from malaysia..im soo proud of u guys..its soo amazing becoz u all come to helping somebody in trouble..have nice day..
Very unfortunate situation for sure. Gotta be careful out there
Its probably because going to the hospital in the U.S basically means bankruptcy or life long debt. U.S health care system is worse than some "third world" countries.
Maybe if you don't have health insurance you shouldn't be participating in a dangerous sport.
@@tacobill70 Maybe the US should just have free/cheap healthcare like the rest of the modern world.
@@Lukey-ts2xvNothing is free.
Good job remaining calm and getting help. Really scary situation!
Yea looking back I wish I would have told his friend to stop moving him so much.
@@Moto_Mills probably would have been a good idea. Dude was knocked out for awhile.
🎉😮❤🎉❤😮🎉❤😮@@ShiftGearsMoto
Dude this was absolutely insane to watch... you’re a good man Mills...
Ragdoll mode activated 🤣
These sites need to have people on hand that know how to treat an injured person. Some trained correctly. Good grief, this is awful
Very true
*I've never seen someone try harder to paralyze a guy than his buddy did here. Impressive composure in a crisis*
Never in my life have I heard
“I just jumped over a dead person”
😅
I’m glad everyone kept their heads about them. I ride myself and hope that everyone has this type of support! God bless
Same if I’m ever on the other side
Glad he is OK, and very glad you were there and reacted so quickly.
🤍🙏🏻
Dealt with something similar a while back. Dude got knockout for like 10 minutes. We rushed to the van. I was rigth behind him. He was going a bit fast and hit a small wooden stump and his bike threw him away. He was okay after some exams and ready to go home but what a scare.
It's crazy how your reaction reminded me of the first words i told the first responder we had in the crew. "He's okay, he just got knockout'd". Great way to handle man. Paniking won't help. And you did not over reacted.
Thanks dude I appreciate it 🙏🏻
Excellent response. Hats off to a great job of handling a really bad situation. Also a good reminder why it is a good idea that I not ride dirt bikes anymore, been 20 years and man I miss it. But I don't miss the injuries.
Yea I’m almost 30 and the falls don’t get any easier
Damn, that was my exact fear of seeing someone not reading the sign. Glad he was okay!… sick riding after too man!
I mean let’s be honest… who’s reading signs when riding or about to hit a jump. 🤣
@@Moto_Mills that’s true, last thing you’d be focusing on haha
@@RVENZ not if it says "Wrong Way".
Those head movements were painful to watch. Geez…. Glad he’s ok!

Proud of how calm you were Taylor. Love you.
I did my best for the guy, Love you too ❤️
Thanks for stopping to help I helped a little kid stuck in the mud a few months ago he was panicking
🤍
Thank God for you being there!! Ya did an excellent job of staying calm as well as calming his friend down. Nive to know there's still some good out there in the world !! Good man!!
Thank you!
do not shake or grabbed someone like that after an accident. You dont know the type of injuries that person has. Good job dude, for being calm and letting him know the situation.
Much appreciated 🙏🏻
Absolutely the worst thing to do to an unconscious person
I’m almost 100% sure that was his buddies first sight of a close one being unconscious. Helmets off to you for helping him realize he was overthink with the key question “is he still breathing”? Which of course was yes and a totally relief as we can see. 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Thanks for noticing that boss
it would have been very distressing for the guy at the start as since the way he was acting he probably genuinely thought he watched his friend die
Man it's guys like you that help me enjoy riding because you didn't have to stop and get help around here where I ride nobody would do this I've seen it personally they'll just keep riding right past so huge thanks to you man
That’s just messed up man… we gotta look out for one another on the track
Always better safe than sorry it’s a good job you guys were there for him hopefully he’s ok. you guys have a big thumbs up from the uk for the assistance you gave him 👍👍
Wow bro, you handled this like a professional! We need more people like you.
❤️
I think you handled the situation super calm and didn't panic! good job!
Thanks dude 🙏🏻
You did awesome bud, I've had to deal with similar shit, sadly unconscious people do look dead when you roll up on them. This brings back bad memories but keyboard warriors need to know that this is what can happen and making good decisions helps the injured the most (I had to get help and leave them both, no phone coverage, like you I was thankful the campground was close and I went crazy and got help)
Thanks man, over reacting never solves anything especially with his buddy already doing too much lol
Man ive seen dudes slumped over dirt bikes nasty Af making weird noises, we all seen this before. It sure makes me want to pack up and stick to running ultras.
Respect for responding to majority of the comments and ty for helping these people ❤❤
❤️ hard to get to everyone but want them to be heard
Good looking out. Keep up the cool videos!
Dude who was knocked out is lucky you intervened. He was getting shaken like a rag doll!
Thanks for being a good person and helping the guy out God bless you bro
I appreciate that 🙏🏻
Like how everyone in the dirt bike community was just there for him, not just track aficials. Hope he was ok
Good on you for staying calm in this situation and for calming his buddy down
Thanks bro
Kudos to you for immediately turning around to check on the guy, then going for help. I've seen crashes similar to that where i stopped like you did and others just blew past without even slowing down basically like they're saying "Sucks to be you, not my problem". Helmet off to you bro 👍👍👍👍
I’d only hope I received the same help
Dude the guy that was shaking him did almost everything wrong. I knew that when the camera guy got back to the injured guy something else would be wrong, like he already had the guy sitting up moving his neck around. I never realized the importance of health class in high school until now because clearly this other dude had no idea what to do.
You handled that so awesome 🙂I can imagine calling 911 and the paramedics come on dirtbikes hitting jumps and doing whips lol 😆
🤣😭
The police here have duel sports and chase bikers through the trees n shit. It's nucking futs😂
Great job by the dirt rider staying calm and going for help....You are a true hero
❤️
he say "you need to get up because we were going to go to the hospital, you can't go to the hospital"
You reacted very well most of the time people panic and don't act accordingly you being calm allowed you to get help faster and handle the situation great job respect bro.
He actedike a total idiot.
HOW TO PARALYZE SOMEONE IN 10 STEPS. SMMFH
Great job on rushing in to get help, although you may have gotten repremanded on it, you did what you should have, awesome stuff man
Thanks dude. Easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission haha
i woulda sent it through the pits just the same man, this hit me in the feels haha. One time some kid was laying under his bike with the throttle pinned ontop of him & the pipe burning into his thigh, i ripped that shit off & sent it just as hard to the EMT's . you're an angel bro
Much love boss 🙏🏻 good on you too.
Perfect example how NOT to handle injured person, oh my god.
You’re right
I just know you had so much adrenaline driving to get help im def subscribing
Bro is so freaking chill like
" i just jumped over a dead person " 💀
" alright you’re alive thank god " 💀
🤣🤣🤣
Holy crap! Dude was trying to finish off his friend. Made him into a bobble head.
Dude! Maybe he was 😮 #BobbleOscar
Damn dude that’s a gnarly concussion! I haven’t had one that bad before and I hope I never do!
So glad I live in a country with free healthcare. I've had 3 big dirt bike crashes, spent weeks in hospital, numerous surgerys. NEVER COST ME A CENT. 🇦🇺
Is their a wait to get to a doctor or is it fairly quick?
@@Moto_Mills Straight away. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of my time in hospital. It really is such a privilege. The only reason people get private healthcare here is so they can choose their own doctor for surgery etc amongst a few other reasons but I think it's a waste of money.
That's not to say there can't be waiting times on non urgent surgery but I'm ok with that.
Dude honestly, the way you handled this. 👏🏼 *bravo*
Absolutely amazingly done. 👏🏼
damn on the way back to the scene and still gettin fresh with it
Bahahaha had to hit the jump man 🤷🏻♂️🤣
I guess Oscar's friend must work in a place where they don't provide any safety training... Everything he was doing was literally the last thing you should ever think about doing unless you want to paralyzed someone... 😳
Panic mode
Well done man. Your composure is 👌 hope he is ok.
SO proud of you man, for what you did... Good job keeping calm and helping out. Respect.
This is an interesting video for so many reasons
"I just jumped over a dead person" was the funniest thing💀💀
These people know absolutely nothing about first aid. Shaking him around like that is absolutely the worst thing they could have done.
At least I stopped it some
As a current EMT I can the way he was tossed around could have made a really bad day worse!.
Nice handling from you, if anyone falls hard always consider spine or neck injury, keep them stable as you can and make sure they dont choke on their tongue if they get knocked out
🤍
No matter the hobby community, I love that people look out for each other...stronger in the hobbies we enjoy unfortunately than in our actual communities.
🤍
you did really well in a situation were lots could have gone wrong. props to you
I appreciate that boss
My dad had an very simular situation the day before this video was published. It was really scary expecially because it was only me(17) and my little sister(10) with my dad out on a very small mountain in very hard terrain. And my little sister panicked so was really hard for me to calm her down meanwhile my dad laying down and shaking and being passed out.
Dude that’s a hectic situation! Yikes!
Wow.. If he hadn't broken his neck in the crash .. He def. did with that violent after care!
The way he was shaking him in the intro I thought it was a pisstake
Was not good
his friend was shaking him while he was on the ground, that’s very dangerous. but im glad he’s fine. u did the right thing bro.❤
🤍
I was in a similar situation last month. I passed out for about 15 minutes but all I had was abrasions and a concussion. I asked liked 20 times what happened 😅
Best sleep you ever had haha
The kid on the bike who got help was amazing. The kid shaking him just completely panicked and could have paralyzed him easily. But the gray haired guy in the black shirt that though he was performing a patient assessment could have paralyzed him too. Every single thing he did from the time he got there was the opposite of what common sense is.
Appreciate it boss 🙏🏻🫡
I understand that guy was in a panic, but good god he could’ve killed that kid.
Thankfully he didn’t
Ok I was a firefighter emt for 17yrs . That young man had a bad concussion and needed to go to the hospital for a CT scan. NEVER move the patient or allow anyone to move them until the patient is fully awake and alert . From what I seen he was never fully alert and oriented. Remember treat like it’s the worst until the medical staff get there or the patient can’t coherently speak
Way to stay calm and handle the situation and calm down the panicer props to you man
its crazy how calm he is threw the whole thing
🫡
That was a scary moment for sure man. Glad Oscar pulled through haha.
Nevertheless, after resuming it looked to be a fun day!
Sick riding man. Ya'll are getting really fast!
Yea it was definitely a crazy situation and another kid snap his wrist that day too.
"I just jumped over a dead person" not somthing you hear every day 1:20
Long story short 🤣
So glad you made this video. It definitely shows what to do in a situation like that.
For some reason the friend didn’t want them to go to the hospital… my guess is that they don’t have papers and they didn’t want to get deported? Not sure but you can clearly hear the friend tell his hurt buddy “ we don’t want them to take you to the ER” like he was afraid or hiding something … hope the dude is ok
Dude that was a crazy Situation man glad he was ok tho
Dude was in outer space for a hot minute. Glad he was ok tho
