HUGE shoutout to the person(s) behind this sound mix! You can hear everything! Every little detail from the vocals and instruments to the claps an intricate pieces these incredible musicians are adding to through so many colors and layers into this amazing song while at the same time being able to understand every word Hozier is singing. I get chills every time I listen to this.
I get so emotional when I see him and his passion behind this song. But particularly when it reaches people who may or may not be fans of his music. You cannot stand and listen to this epic creation with real crisises and protests playing out on the screen behind him and not be affected. It is all just something else, man. It's Hozier. ✊
I went thrue very rough times few month's ago and this song just come up on my playing list , sudenly 🙏🙏🙏 Not coincidence 😊😊😊 My name is Nikolina - Nina Thanks Hozier you give me power back 🙏🙏🙏
the passion when he sang "it's not the wall but what's behind it" SENDS ME edit: ++ when he did "'cause power is my love when my love reaches to me" Y'ALL
Bea Clavijo it sounds different every time he performs it. I cried when I saw him a month ago, the chills I get from watching is power, energy, and passion.
Power to all those nameless, faceless people that cry it everyday, in our knowing and irrespective of it! The names Andrew calls out represent all of you, for we owe so much to you! Thank you for your service!
I think it's great that he sings "John Lennon cried power" instead of just "Lennon cried power" because in the original recording it totally sounds like "Lenin cried power" (which he probably did at some point, funny enough)
@@iago07 Yes, the rest were all musicians, so I only thought of Lennon. Besides, I saw him protest in bed with Yoko, sing "Power to the people" and so on, so that helped lol.
This song is a true masterpiece, written and performed flawlessly by one of the best singers-songwriters of all time. The band is amazing, too. I've been listening to it, in every version available, for weeks now
I hope that audience realized they were in the presence of greatness? I was at his show and no one stopped cheering ,jumping and dancing. It was so exciting, he is excellence, and THAT BAND!!!! They all brought extra. Groovin on some serious keyboard playing! Just awesome. He had that Irish accent going strong. He means what he sings about. I love them, him so very much. I danced for those who didn't. He is a Human masterpiece!!! :) :) :) ♡♡♡
I know everyone’s talking about how lethargic the crowd seems, but that crowd shot from above that shows how so many people even watched out in the edges are just standing entrances……magical
He's such a good singer. I'm a classical singing student (Tenor) and I love his approach. He doesn't 'try' too hard to reach the notes like a lot of singers these days. Everything is sung as light or strong as it needs to be and he sings with such feeling.
I've never been touched by a performance until today. This version of NCP is completely crazy,I cannot find words to describe it. I wish I could scream to him how much this is beyond human, beautiful and POWERFUL. Andrew you are a genius !!
Just when I think that this is it, this is the most beautiful song, it can't be better, but every song proves me wrong, every time it turns out to be better. But this song makes my blood spin, it's unbelievable, insane 🖤
Wow. Wow wow wow. I've seen him perform this live twice, and both times gave me goosebumps. He has so much passion behind his message, and he cradles this song with what I can only describe as a fiery tenderness. He's truly magical live. 😍
The was such a powerful performance! His voice was so strong, even watching it at home I was blown away! So I can only imagine how brilliant it was live! I think he's right at home on the Glastonbury stage, a true forest king!
@@sachamartin8966 I'd been wanting to see him live for years and I couldn't believe it when I was offered tickets. It was a really good night as well- considering the recent weather! He was outstanding and the energy in the crowd was just amazing and I think it certainly outdid Glastonbury!
FearTheSpork ahaha yes we’re probably biased as we never get a bit of sun but I thought it outdid Glastonbury as well, it was a fantastic night. There is nothing like his vocals live, they just run through you like clear water. Beautiful :)
This song and performance should have been later when there was more of a crowd and the darknesss amplified the imagery being shown. Also, is it me or did Hozier seem to be signing it with a more pronounced Irish ballad accent?
Ok so the backups are KILLIN IT! And this is the best he’s done WITHOUT the legendary Mavis Staples... she’s noticeably absent and that means far less soul...
When the Irish accent comes out, you know he means what he's saying
i know I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released movies online?

Bloody hell! Extra bits in the verse, a more noticeable Irish accent, bloody flawless delivery, this is amazing!!
Bloody hell is right ! Good GRIEF !!!!!!!!!
Hozier was one of the most talented musicians at this event and I wish this video got more attention
Bill Nye share it! 💜

I listen back for part "stormzy cried power" after reading an article from Independent. Gosh, what a good guy!
the passion when he sang "it's not the wall but what's behind it" SENDS ME
edit: ++ when he did "'cause power is my love when my love reaches to me" Y'ALL
I love that the lyrics can change. It’s not about the specifics, it’s about the overall drive to bring change. To cry power.
The lad is class... As are the magic musicians who play with him. If u can't do it live then go home.. And this lad can do it live.
The emotion Andrew puts while performing this song makes me so fucking emotional, I love him

His voice, his style, his hair, his fingers, oh my god...his screaming🙌...I just love this lad 😘😘😘😘😘😘
So many people in the audience not appreciating this magic....
Meanwhile they were crying for Miley...
It was really really hot, so everyone was just doing what they could to not burst into flames!
Michelle McCarthy I know!
F*** yes

I laughed so hard. That's so great. An Easter Egg :))))))
I never once thought of Lenin... anyone who mistakes LENIN for LENNON doesn’t know Joni, James Brown, Marvin, Mavis or even Nina lol 😂
lenin is epic

This man is beautiful. He sings as if he is descending from the heavens above together with his fellow musicians and singers. A forest king 🌳
Fantastic performance. His Irish accent is much more noticeable live.
I've seen this dude 4 times live and he has never has this much of a brogue when he is singing. I think it was a conscious choice for whatever reason
It's not the song, it is the singing
....
Damn if Hozier doesn't prove this with every song he sings.

Ginger Countryman couldn’t agree more
Swear down I would've cried if I was in the audience😭no matter which song he sang
Trill Izi I saw him in Glasgow in 2018 and I cried when he sang it. It’s so passionate!
no you wouldn't
Trill Izi u ain’t lyin!
same here
One of few really huge artists who stay independent and concerned in the times of greed and indifference.
He added to the verses!
I know everyone’s talking about how lethargic the crowd seems, but that crowd shot from above that shows how so many people even watched out in the edges are just standing entrances……magical
Totally agree. This song evokes reverence.
crowd did not deserve the passion of this performance. INCREDIBLE
What a heartfelt passionate performance. We love you Hozier. ❤
This man's passion can power the whole world.
Man, it's getting difficult to love him more & more day by day...I never knew I could have such amount of love for any man
Hozier amazing as always, but I'm suprised by how awesome are the back vocals on this... Just amazing... goosebumps
i'm so in love with his music he is incredible
IT'S NOT THE WALL BUT WHAT'S BEHIND IT!!!!!!
@@AlwaysRetr0 nope, it's "the wall." "War" makes no sense with the rest of the lyrics.
I like the new verses he added
I love the live version of this song so much! It’s a religious experience

the bassist is magic
I adore Hozier. His soulfulness is painfully beautiful
Everything about this guy, this song... Is perfect

Andrew you are a genius !!
Ryme Koundi I recommend you check a singer called Tamino, their styles aren’t the same at all, but both moved the same wave of emotions in me
Hozier is a masterpiece❤
The passion.. The delivery...It is the bearing of the light x
this song has me sobbing my eyes out

Does the crowd know that a god is standing on this stage

most underrated performance
Yay!!!! Mavis Staples shout out classy man! Love this tune and the fact you are singing it unceasingly. Yes!!! Chills every time!
The boy done us proud!!! Amazing live performance 👌
It was the hottest part of the weekend, hence the lethargic crowd. Just appreciating.
this song is so powerful and i love it so much
Songs that change the world.
So glad this is back on youtube ... amazing song ... perfect version.

The was such a powerful performance! His voice was so strong, even watching it at home I was blown away! So I can only imagine how brilliant it was live!

Normally singers sound soooo terrible in live videos but this sounds perfect😍
Is that Suzanne Santo on guitar? That’s raddd!!!!!
The crowd is just standing there like a god isn’t on stage singing the most powerful song of the era
Why was this not a massive hit!!! We all cried power!
He’s a performer who’s better live than studio. The mark of a true artist. Wonderful!
despite watching this on a screen i'm having full. body. chills. 🔥🔥🔥
"And everything that we denied, by kepp us divide" 2021 😔✊
Why they got my man looking like a damn vampire In thumbnail😂

OMG, can't wait to see him in September in Vienna!!!

His voice is like nothing else I’ve ever heard
Sometimes I forget just how good he is at singing.
this song is great!!

Peter Danner irish accent emphasises his strong identity to the essence of this song
Also he played it a scale lower than usual so it’s probably closer to his actual voice.. I could hear it too! Love it ❤
If I was in the crowd I would have gone crazy.
It's not the talking it's the doing....incredible artist...
I love u so much hozier
my fav folk singer!
what an amazing performance!
Goosebumps!

I saw him live last October, and this song gave me fucking chills hearing it live, and this performance is just as chilling.
Man, lyrics are spirit!
This is the most powerful, important performance since RATM played "Know Your Enemy" at Reading in 92 and this crowd is acting like it's nothing
Great Irish 🇮🇪 musician
Sovereign Queen of his heart!
